This has not been a winner for me. I bought it for the SPF, something cheap and easy to have for the summer when I am going to be outside, because my lips burn easily, and that really hurts. It works as far as the SPF goes, the smell is nice and it goes on smoothly. But it wears off very quickly, so I am constantly reapplying it. Good thing it's cheap. And I have realized that on the days I use it, my lips feel very dry by the end of the day. I tried to use it as a night treatment for the anti-aging properties it is supposed to have, but woke up with dry lips, and noticed no benefits. It's cheap, but I won't buy it again.

I bought this on a whim at wal-mart a few weeks ago and boy am I suprised! I have tried so many lip balms and treatments for my super-always-dry lips and this is the only one that I have really been able to see a difference with. My lips are not dry anymore, and I can tell that the few lines I did have look less noticeable. I love the scent and the packaging, and it's only like $2 so you can't beat it!

My lips were in really bad condition -- they were very dried out and had really deep wrinkles in them and they seemed shrunken. I bought this product because I thought that my lips needed a "deep renewal" and I'm very surprised by the results. My lips are definitely a LOT fuller than before which was the result that most shocked me. It was as if this chapstick went in from the inside and plumped it back out. The plumping helped decrease the wrinkles in my lips (it says on the package that this could take up to a month), but I am very satisfied by this product. My lips are incredibly smooth

I don't find that I have to reapply frequently like other reviewers have said, and although a lot of other reviewers said they like the fragrance..I actually hate it. I'm definitely going to rebuy though because it makes my lips look AMAZING!!! HG chapstick

I have dry lips that need constant hydration, and for a while I was hooked on "Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15" ($23 at Sephora). I LOVE the Fresh lip treatment, and have nothing negative to say about it... however after going through several tubes of them, I decided to try cheaper brands. I tried out a few different brands but hated them because they made my lips feel MORE dry and appeared to "deflate" them (huh!?)... and was about to give up on the search for a cost-effective lip balm when I came across this Deep Renewal by Blistex. I liked the fact that it has anti-aging ingredients and SPF 15. I like the packaging, but I can see why some reviewers say it is a waste of plastic. I can get past any packaging if the product works. The scent is pleasant, light, fresh mint. It seems to hydrate my lips almost as well as the Fresh lip treatment, for WAAAY cheaper. The only semi-negative things I have to say are that I find myself applying MORE (one swipe isn't enough), and I also apply it more OFTEN (every few hours). But this lip balm is great for the price. I will definitely repurchase!

EDIT:
After about a month of using this lip product, I have to say it has disappointed me a bit... I still think it is effective for moisturizing and sun protection, however I have developed three large, painful pimples on the edge of my lips. I think this lip balm is clogging those pores and causeing a breakout. Very disappointing. I thought I had found a great drugstore product. I will not purchase again.

EDIT:
Hmm... I'm not sure what to think. I'm not sure whether the breakout was due to another product I used, which also caused pimples around the chin/mouth area. So I decided to purchase the Deep Renew lip balm again and give it a second chance - it's only $3 after all...

Bought this product on a whim.
I always trust blistex products, but this one failed me.
It does go on very smoothly, the smell is kinda nice too.
But it wears off so fast!
I have to keep re-applying the product every 20 mins.
I guess it doesn't do a good job in soothing my chapped lips (Blistex MEDEX does! I swear by it!), but as other reviews suggested, it'll probably be a good base for lipsticks.

But I will not buy this product again :(

I really like this balm. I always put this on before applying my makeup to prepare my lips for lipstick or lipglosss. I've never paid attention to it's staying power. I enjoy the taste and I don't feel like a kid applying it. It has a grown up smell, look and taste. It goes on super smooth.

I agree with the previous. Doesn't stay on. I apply and then re-apply and re-apply. It's alright. Not great.

Decent lip balm-the flavor is great if that's your thing-but like other reviewers stated, it just doesn't stay on. I need to reapply and reapply. The tube has not broke yet, but looks as though it will at any moment, so packaging is not great. Overall good feel on lips and love the sweet minty flavor!

I kinda like this stuff. Yeah, it doesn't last as long as other lip/chapsticks, but for some reason I can't put my finger on, I just think it works for me. And its cheap too. EDIT: This made my lips worse, very dry and chapped. Going to try for something Without petroleum in it.

I usually use just plain old chapstick but I decided to go ahead and try something new. The main thing wrong with this product for me was that I found myself applying it all the time. Not even a half hour would go by before I had to reapply. This is the first product I put on my lips that I actually felt dried my lips out. My lips peel and feel awful after using this. I will NOT be buying this again and will go back to the tried and true chapstick.

This product gives me an odd after taste. When I put this on I have to hold the tube funny, and to be honest I think the whole packaging is not practical and a waste of plastic. It seems to work well when it's on and then makes my lips more dry once it rubs off. I have noticed that it says it's a lip protectant so that may be why. If all this product is supposed to do is protect my lips then it definately does, seeing how there's horrible cold and wind where I live. Overall I won't be buying this again because I need something that will actually hydrate my lips.

This is nice. It stays on a long time. It tastes sweet. It works well. Nurturing. Edit Aug 2009...chucked into the trash..Discovered good ole Carmex is the better of the two. Carmex in the tube heals my lips.

This is pretty good for drugstore lip balm/ chapstick. I bought the Deep Renewal CoQ 10 Formula. I should learn to not shop with my 3 year old, when I should be reading labels on things. I get distracted and just hap-hazardly buy things. The CoQ 10 is the LAST ingredient in this stuff. So that doesn't exactly impress me, since it's in the name of it....but whatever, I guess. It's only like $1.89 or something, and moisturizes pretty well. It does have SPF in it, so that is a plus as well.

Love this stuff!! My lips are in the best shape they've been in FOREVER!! I've tried everything too...Softlips, Chapstick, Blistex, Burts Bees...you name it, I've tried it!!

As an added bonus, the flavor and smell are also very pleasant. There's nothing worse than a lip balm that leaves you with a bad taste or unpleasant scent, right under your nose!!

I highly recommend giving this product a try!!!

Plus side: SPF

Down side: N/A [see edit]

i bought it today for fun. pretty cheap, like 1.80 something or 1.90. can't remember.

I was surprised at how sweet it tasted, and the smell is lemony.

there's nothing special to it, like any other lip balm. but i haven't faced any problems with it so far...
----
edit/update:
okay i completely change my mind about this lip balm. one of the worst that I've encountered! And before this, the worst were just one that did nothing, this went beyond that and made my lips feel even more dry!

Texture: If you have ever smeared Vaseline onto your lips, then it feels the same. It doesn't absorb into your skin and just sits on top. that's probably a good thing. I have on several occasions applied it at night before i went to sleep, and still feel it in the morning.

Smell/taste: The smell and taste are the only good parts about this lip balm. Is so sweet that it's as if you applied on candy! This could be a downside if you have a habit of eating your lipbalms off your lips.

Packaging: Okay, at first when i read the review, and people were complaining about how the stick keeps sliding back inside, i thought that they just bought bad ones. I now realize what horrors they were going through. But it's very easy to solve. just hold onto the center of the tube and rest the end on the palm of your hand. This is probably easier for me and others with smaller hands. But using this method, i find i have no problems applying it.

Results: what results? Since i've started applying this lip balm, whenever i don't have it on, my lips feel dry and in need of moisture. It's driving me nuts! I end up licking my lips which makes them even more dry!

I will definitely not repurchase this. All i can do now is just to finish it since it is quite fun to apply since it's so greasy.

Cons: Smells like a citronella candle, the balm is pretty greasy and the staying power is poor.

This stuff is amazing! I hate the packaging though, every time i apply it the stick goes back down haha. But it instantly makes my lips moisturized. Also, ive noticed that lines have become a little less more noticeable and this is just a week. Also the first time I used it, I woke up and my lips looked kinda weird they were more plump (which I dont need any more of btw haha) Love the smell/flavor and the slight tingly feel whenever i apply it. And its super cheap, i decided to buy it out of a whim nothing ever seems to work for me but this one sure does
