I read a lot of reviews before put my money on this foundation, because it's gonna be the most expensive foundation I'll ever purchased. And after all the raves that claim this's the HG foundation I decide to try this one.
I've oily/combination and with right foundation my oily skin is controllable. But not this one, it look perfect at first 10-15 minutes after that awful things happened, it oxidized on me I look darker and my skin look super oily, definitely not in a dewy way.
I'm so disappointed. If you have oily skin I suggest you think twice before trying this one. My good old Revlon Colorstay even works better than this one IMHO.
If you only need a foundation for photo shooting days (in air-condition studio) this's still a good choice. Since I found it photograph well, I'm photogenic while wearing this foundation. But in daily life that I've to running around, working or even going to a party , it fail to do that for me.

Looks beautiful in pictures and fairly good color match! The cap to the package always falls off in my purse or in a makeup bage. The downside is that is transfers and doesn't stay well - I've even tried with powder. Ex: If you blow your nose, almost all the makeup comes off on the tissue. Really love the result but staying power not great. Also tried wearing this in warmer weather and seemed to melt fairly quickly. The 120 shade is good but little yellow. 125 was too dark.
I tried the Matte Velvet but found it way too drying, the light color was too light and dark was too dark - each of the shades to appear almost gray on my skin :(

Best foundation for highlighting and contouring! Looks beautiful, packaging is great and colours are spot on.. Not too yellow and not too pink! Finally!! I wouldn't use this as a daytime make up I use this specifically for contouring.. Only downside is that it's not available in the UK :( and I'm running low!

I bought the 115. I have a hard time matching my skin and this one matched really well. I am curretly going to buy the 117 to mix. I like the coverage and it doesn't feel to heavy. I have combo, acne prone skin and this hasn't caused any breakouts or reactions. Will be buying again.

To be blunt, this isn't the worst product but it isn't the best either. Oddly enough, this photographs decently - not great. I am NC30ish and was matched to #125 which I believe is for light-medium with beige and a little bit of yellow undertones. It was a good match.
I can't figure out the application on this thing. I have tried fingers, kabuki brush, flat top brush, etc. It really just won't blend into my skin. Looks incredibly unnatural.
As for the coverage, it's definitely medium at most which is disappointing since I like fuller coverage.
Overall, get a sample before purchasing the full thing. $42-5 (with tax) is no joke for something you might like.

I haven't tried any other high-end foundations before, and only a few drugstore foundations, but I like this one the best of all those I've tried. That said, it really didn't do what I was hoping it would. I have severe acne, and while I like how it made my skin look in general, the coverage was really inadequate for what I needed. I expected to still need concealer, but this foundation seemed to be providing very little coverage for my blemishes. I was basically still covering my entire face in concealer (MUFE full cover). It made the areas of my skin that already looked okay look really nice, but I have so many blemishes it wasn't worth it.
I think if you're looking for something to just even out your skin tone, this is probably pretty good for that. But if that's all you need it for, maybe it's not worth purchasing such an expensive foundation. It does look very good in pictures though. Usually my blemishes are greatly enhanced in flash photography, but this foundation seemed to obscure them pretty well in pictures. That alone was a big plus for me because my acne doesn't bother me too much day to day, but I hate seeing it in pictures.
I like the packaging in general, but I did travel with it once and a small amount started to leak out the top around the pump. It wasn't a big deal, but I definitely think it could be a problem if you didn't keep it upright most of the time.
I started Accutane this month, and hope this foundation will serve me well once my skin is cleared up, but while I'm still dealing with red marks, or for special occasions. However, I would not repurchase this foundation because it was really not worth the price for me. I expected more for the price.

Great packaging, never broke me out, and it felt light on the face. I didnt like anything else about it. It melted off my tzone within an hour and it oxidized to a dirty looking color. I had high hopes but this was not the foundation for me.

I was super excited to try this product out, but when I did, it just didn't live up to my expectations :/ I have combination/oily skin with hyperpigmentation and redness, and this foundation didn't cover any of that. I found that I had to keep layering and layering it on, but it would just end up looking cakey.
Also, I have fair skin, so the lightest shade they had was still too dark for me. I used up the bottle but only because it cost me $45-50 CAD and for me to spend so much money, I felt like it was a waste of money. Def not repurchasing

I The first time I brought it, my skin was not flawless of course but it did not look as bad as it looks now.... When I first started using it my skin did not break out. When I brought my second bottle, by the time I finished that, I had tons of blemishes especially on my cheeks...I am talking about dark spots that I still fight with til this day. It covers well but it breaks you out to the point you feel like you need to keep buying and cake on more. I feel like this product is over priced and it did not work well for me at all. It does not stay on all day either...but the bottle does last long. I can say that.

TERRIBLE! For me personally, it was not a good fit :(
The first week that I used this, it wore pretty good, but I honestly think that it was mainly because I was using my Smashbox primer underneath. My skin also adapts well to any makeup for the first few days but after, TERRIBLE.
My skin: combo/oily, olive complected, few blemishes.
I've used: MAC, La Mer, Dior, and Clinique. MAC is my go-to, and I've worn it the longest.
I have combo to oily skin and this makes my skin even oilier. I really wanted to love it because it's gotten amazing reviews, but it just doesn't work for me. It wears off realllly fast, in a couple of hours. I even use my MAC Studio Fix powder to touch up and it still doesn't wear well.
I purchased the kit after I did a sample and it was a huge investment that wasted my money.
*The bottle broke and leaks the liquid.
*The powder won't come through the holes so I have to take off the lid, which wastes more than goes on my brush.
*The primer is really thin, so I have to use a ton to cover my face adequately. It doesn't do anything anyways because my makeup still wears off, and it doesn't help to seal my pores, even my skin, or prep it.
*The setting powder does NOTHING and I'm oily in just a few hours in the best of circumstances.
*The makeup photographed white.
*Sets into my pores and lines while wearing off.
I put a lot of money into it so I'm trying to make the best of it, but I will NEVER buy this again. Still on the hunt...

Absolutely the perfect foundation for me. It camouflages my flaws without looking cakey. I love the texture and how it feels on my skin. The fragrance is very nice too. I'm on my second bottle and I'll definitely continue purchasing this product.

I tried this in 117. It last the whole day without changing its appearance. It did accentuate dry spots in my T-zone and settle into wrinkles under my eyes but not the extent that some other foundations did. The finish was better and the shade is the same as the lightest shade of the 'vanilla cream' by Too Faced. It didn't oxidize like MAC foundations (in NC 20), Studio Sculpt and Pro Longwear, did and the finish was better than those as well.
*Update: found out the accentuation of dry spots was not entirely the foundation's problem. I switched from Olay moisturizer to the Trader Joe's moisturizer and my dry spots went away, and this foundation looked great and last all day. A little bit of caking still though.

I love makeup and I heard a lot of wonderful reviews from this product and decided to purchase it and see what everyone was bragging about, but its not what people make it out to seem. I purchased the starter kit which includes the primer, foundation, micro-finishing powder, and kabuki brush. I have oily skin and I used the primer, foundation, and then used the micro finishing powder and topped it off with my usual powder. Within a few hours, my face looked really cakey and nasty. I had to retouch my makeup more than usual. I hardly use it now and have gone back to my usual foundation routine.

I like that this is an oil-free product. I can control how much I apply -- using a wet sponge gives a good, sheer effect. They have a wide range of colors. I like that it's a pump bottle. But. The top of the bottle doesn't stay on. #annoying

Broke me out horribly. While acne is a hereditary trait in my family, we have our shared ways of keeping it under control. The only issue I have now is covering a few scars and dark marks, absolutely NO pimples at all! After getting a sample of this (178 & 180 because the Sephora associate and myself had a small disagreement on which matched me more, I am a NW45 in MAC btw), I took both home and decided to mix for perfection. While it did look like I had on product, it did give a nice airbrushed look with my translucent powder. I will never buy this product again because it just broke me out way too bad.

I have tried a lot of foundations, Clinique, YSL, Chanel are to name a few. This is the only stuff out there that matches my skin and does not look painted on. I am Middle Eastern and have a warm skin tone with Yellow undertones and use the 140, the 123 does not work for me, even though it states it is for Olive skin, it's way too dark. In the summer or on vacation when I'm tanned I just mix it with Make up Forever dark primer and adjust the shade. I found the foundation works best with a good brush, I like it with Bdellium 957, goes on perfect with an air brushed look.

I was not impressed with this product. After reading some reviews online, I decided to take the plunge and buy it. It doesn't offer enough coverage for me, and looked like it just sat on top of my skin no matter how much I blended. The shade matched perfectly.. jut not enough coverage for my acne.

I had finally nearly cleared up my acne, and was excited to try this out. It made me look FLAWLESS and I was SO HAPPY. However, after about a month of using this, my acne was a hundred times worse than it had ever been. THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT LOOK GOOD OVER ACNE. I don't know how Cassandra Bankson does it, since I followed her video EXACTLY, but now that my acne is all over my face again this product looks AWFUL on me. It looks VERY fake and gets blotchy and makes my face look super dried out when it's NOT. Instead of making my flaws disappear, it makes them more noticeable! I had to go a whole day walking around school looking like I was a 7th grade make up first timer. This product just isn't for me, and if you have severely oily skin and bad acne, don't use this. This if for people who already have smooth, acne-free skin.

I didn't find this that exceptional. It holds on well, particularly if you use a silicone-based primer, but for some reason it sits in my pores a bit and shows off drier skin. It also tends to make me a little oily during the day. The coverage is good though and, being quite pale, I deffinitely appreciate the choice of shades available.
