This is an okay product. The formula is okay but the large brush with spread out thin bristles makes the application really clumpy and messy. It didn't give great lengths and feels uncomfortable on the eyes.

I bought this because I'm a mascara layerer and I wanted to add this to my collection. I'm going to keep playing with different application techniques but after a week of wearing it, I realized I hated the way it made my lashes look. It did add length but it clumped and looked spidery! The main problem is the brush because it's long and narrow and the bristles are widely spread out...I'm going to try the formula with a cover girl or tarte brush, maybe that will work better!!

I fell for the gimic of this mascara, I thought it would make my lashes really long and that the fiber extensions are just what I needed, but this mascara is really nothing special. Sure, it lengthens decently, it has decent staying power, but the brush reminds me of Great Lash which means that it clumps. You will not get the dramatic false lash look with this mascara unless you layer it. I say, spend your money on a better mascar

Along with my HG Volum' Express The Falsies waterproof mascara, this one can actually keep up my super straight Asian lashes (after curling of course). This gives cleaner, longer lashes than The Falsies, but the volume is lacking, which was expected since it was promoted as a lengthening mascara. If I feel extra fancy I'll swipe this on before The Falsies for super dramatic lashes, but since it gives such great definition for my lower lashes I tend to use it more as a lower lash mascara. Great mascara overall, even better if you're looking for curl and length.

I bought this a few days ago because of all the great reviews and I'm SO HAPPY I did! I have thin and short lashes and this mascara is PERFECT! It gives me plenty of length and volume and that's what I love. I will definitely continue to buy it!

I was really excited to buy this mascara because if there's one thing my lashes need, it's length. I bought this along with Maybelline's Full n Soft because I heard that this was a strictly lengthening mascara and thus I would need to layer it over a volumizing one.Pros:- lengthens decently- fibers do not point all over the place/get into eyes- no flaking- holds curlCons:- Minor smudging- NO VOLUME whatsoever (but I expected that)- makes some of my lashes stick together- not "illegal" length- can be hard to get offHonestly the lengthening on this was not much more than the Full n Soft. I haven't really taken the time to "properly" apply this (ie carefully applying mutiple coats like some people have said is necessary) but as a student I want something I can apply with minimal effort and still make my lashes look a decent length (mine are naturally super short) with. It does look alright layered over my Full n Soft. Will probably not repurchase unless I can find a way to get it to work, but might recommend to someone with thick, already fairly long lashes who wants that little boost of length.

Wow, I must be the only person who has had a good experience with this mascara so far. It stands up to my oily eyelids and comes off easily with mascara remover. There's no clumping, flaking, raccoon eyes or weird fiber-things. This is my current HG mascara (unless it fails me like Clinique's Lash Power did).

I bought this mascara mainly to use before going to the gym. I wasn't impressed when I first put it on, but after I curled my lashes, I did notice some nice lengthening (did not stick to the curler like most mascaras either). Was it a major change?--No. The brush isn't one of those rubbery tiny bristle ones, which is a plus for me, and is longer than most. There was no clumping, flaking, or raccooning which was a major improvement from the L'Oreal Million Lashes I bought last. I prefer a false lash look, which this doesn't give since its targeted towards length NOT volume (which I knew and wasn't expecting). I think if this was paired with a volume mascara under or over this, I think it would give an awesome false lash look. This is definitely a day look mascara by itself.I'm kinda torn whether I would buy it again because it does pair well with volume mascaras and is a fantastic waterproof choice, however it's around 8 clams...which if you need to buy another kind to go with it, it's a bit pricey. UPDATE---changed 3 star to one star due to CONSTANT fiber pricks to the eye that you can't get rid of (with eye drops and trying to find that one lash that is doing it).

This is crap, along with most other maybelline mascara's. How dare they name this Illegal Lengths like the old version... this has absolutely no qualities like the original. CRAP.

This is just an okay mascara. The brush is a bit awkward to use because of these long, single spiky bristles that are randomly placed on the brush. It adds a bit less volume than Maybelline's Lash Stiletto. As for length, I'm not at all impressed. The so-called extensions sometimes end up as tiny little spikes that can weirdly point downward and look a lot like unwanted spider-ing.
