This is a great highlighting product. Though.. there are a few quirks about it.. or about using it.First.. I have oily skin, and like others with oily skin.. using illuminating products often means adding shimmer and shine to the face which is something those of us with oily skin tend to avoid or limit. But when properly placed and blended.. this product is pretty awesome.I never use this product during the summer.. as I said on my skin it would just be too much shine. But during the winter it offers a very nice healthy glow. I do have a bit of problems blending it.. but I'm pretty sure it's just the foundation that I use (a fast drying 24 hour long lasting foundation - so putting 'wet' makeup on top of it like a highlighter or creme blush doesn't really work well) - so I do have to use this while my foundation is still a bit tacky and not set yet and just dab a very small amount where I want it to go then not mess with it afterward so it doesn't cake. Again, it's not so much this product alone as it it using this product over a foundation.

I purchased this after a freind recommended this product to me. She loves it, I gave her my bottle. It doesn't suit me. She has pale skin like me but she is both quite a bit younger and has much lighter hair. I'm thinking those two things make a difference. It looks fake and casts and "off" glow on me. I don't know how better to describe it than off and fake. I either apply so little you hardly see it, or just a tiny bit more and FAKE happens! I much prefer a more subtle powder and to be able to brush a light amount of highlighter across my cheeks in a nice sweeping motion.

I really like this product. I mix a quarter-size of my 100% Pure tinted moisturizer and a dime-size of this highlighter and rub this combo on the apples of my cheeks and it is so pretty.

This is the best liquid highlighter out there. The formula is like no other and the pink luminescent shimmer color gives off the prettiest, dewy look. Works great for African American/darker skin tones! I use it under the brow bone and on cheekbones. But yes be careful because if you use too much you can look shiny. If you have had little sleep and want to look more refreshed, it looks awesome on the brow bone, in the corner of the eyes and applied lightly over your fave under eye concealer. A little goes a long way so this bottle is a good investment. I do wish that it came in a different applicator because the nail polish brush is not the best. I have a mini-travel size version of it where the applicator is a sponge tip and it is much better because you can control the application/amount of the product.

I love the effect this has on others but it's just not so great on me :-( !!! Firstly i have oily skin and use powder foundation so this is a bit diffcult to apply. And then my skin tone is olive/tan so i do get a nice sheen but it can look a little crazy if not applied properly! I have experimented with it loads of times but now i just use it on my brow bones for nights out or dab a teeny bit on my cheekbones if i have time to play around with it! Wish it worked for me but it doesn't so i won't be repurchasing.

I have oily skin and this just does not sit right on my skin. It looks nice when you first put it on but does not last but a couple of hours on me. I had to keep reapplying. I mainly used it for my cheeks and as a highlighter on my brow.

When I got this product I thought it was going to be fantastic. Then when I started using it as a highlighter I thought it was good, but not great. But I have finally figured out how great it is. By mixing it in with my foundation. It is glorious when used that way. It lightens my foundation the perfect amount and gives me that dewy glow that lasts all day!

Unfortunately I can't get this to work for me. By no means is it the fault of the product, it just doesn't suit my skintone at all. I'm an NC40 golden undertoned girl and High Beam shows up very metallic/frosty looking on my skin. It deposits a very shimmery silver slightly pink colour which is soooooo unflattering on me. I like Moon Beam but High Beam...ehhhh. It looks so fake. I also find that High Beam makes my skin look greasy whereas Moon Beam just makes me look dewy. Wouldn't repurchase this.

I went through a Benefit phase, where I was obsessed with their products. One of the first things I purchased from them was this highlighter. I find that this highlighter doesn't live up to the hype and the praise it receives from magazines and other media.Honestly, if you have oily or combination skin, this isn't the best product to be using. The creaminess seems to accentuate greasiness. While I've never had a problem with other cream products, I find that the shimmer is quite extreme. You need to use an extremely light hand. Don't follow the instructions which say to apply three dots along your cheekbones. I find that for my combination skin, it's quite a lot. One dot, blended out, will give you a decent amount of shimmer without the excessive greasy look. I tend to prefer powder highlighters or more solid creams to liquids because they seem more natural on my skin tone. The packaging is ridiculous. It's like a nail polish bottle. Because Benefit is known for their good and quirky packaging, these bottle styles they have used for High Beam, Moon Beam, Benetint and Posietint are a little disappointing and make the product hard to use in my opinion. Finally, I find that it wears off quite easily. By noon, you can't really tell you ever put it on. Overall, I think this product is way too expensive and doesn't deliver. You can get better highlighters for much less than $28 that will last longer. Other high end brands, like LORAC, make beautiful highlighters and cheaper brands, like ELF, make great cream and powder highlighters that will replace this one 10 times over.

I really enjoyed this highlighter when i first recieved it. It was so great to bring light and shimmer to my face. But that became the problem, I started to look to shimmery, not luminous. This is a great product, but only to be used in very small amounts over a matte highlighter. Sheenless highlighter looks more natural for day. This on top of it at night though would be the bomb!
