I'm sure there already is a review on this as this is many people's holy grail lippie I'm sure! but this is the perfect sheer red bitten lip w/the perfect hint of color. Sure to get lots of compliments on this one! Highly Recommend... even if you don't like/wear reds like me!

this has been one of my favorite lip glosses since high school. It gives a "better than natural" lip color..Although I've tried many lip colors, I always go back to this one..The color in the tube is deceiving as it truly is natural-looking..price isn't bad either, although the new formulas tend to be shorter than I remember.

Like the natural color (though it's a trifle too warm/peachy for me), love the (chapstick) feel, love the soft shine, but good grief do I hate the packaging! It's a pretty silver tube, but the lid NEVER stays on, and it's the sort that will smoosh your lipstick if you don't roll it back down into the tube after using it. Still, definitely worth trying. Plus, it's not obvious when it wears off (no lipstick ring).

YES YES YES! I saw all the raves on the site and I finally bought this one today...it was the last one at the counter too. I must say when I opened the tube I was a little scared-but the color turned out to be a perfect berry reddish color--Its perfect for me because I don't like the dryness of most lipsticks--this is moist and wondeful! I think I'll probably use it when I want a bit more color than the light colored gloss I normaly wear--Black Honey is pefect for a night on the town!! Will buy this one again!
Update many years later-Still a beautiful color and I used it as my go-to for performances and events but I figured out that this also breaks me out along my lip line like so many other lipsticks out there. Wont buy this again.

I might be the only one who doesn't look great in this color. Looks like I'm recovering from an electrical shock to my mouth. I was hoping for raspberrry, but it showed up blueberry on me.

Why did I wait SO LONG to buy this? Great natural color with a kick to it. Enhances my lip color so beautifully and the formula is terrific. Very lightweight and moist and lasts a long time too!!!

I wore this a lot hen I was around 12. I pulled it out again recently and discovered that I don't like it nearly as much now. It turned rather fuchsia on me after a few minutes, but if it hadn't, it would be a lovely sheer berry color. I love the slim and shiny silver tube and the nice, light formula, but not the color.

This is the most flattering neutral in history, isn't it? It's scary in the tube (hi, pitch black), but it's warm, sheer brick/beige on my lips. I love the formula -- light, comfortable and sheer, but can be built up to a mid-berry fairly easily, and I adore the sleek silver tube.

Yes, I do believe this is the Holy Grail of natural lip color. When I'm sick of red and just want something sexyish and natural and glossy, I reach for the Black Honey. I have very pale ivory skin, and very dark brown hair and this brownberry sheen just looks completely wonderful every time. The only complaint that I have that no one else seems to, is that sometimes when I apply it, it CLUMPS on me! Weird little, bloodclot-looking clumps that perch on my lips that must be picked off. This stuff really softens the skin on my lips, too, so perhaps that has something to do with it. A little trick I suggest is sometimes I smear some Black Honey on my lids for quick shimmery eyes!

Love this color! The only thing is there are so many drugstore knock-offs of black honey these days, why would anyone pay for the original? I guess I know why I still buy it--I love the sleek packaging of the almost lipsticks!

A sheer, natural berry color... didn't like it, looked greasy wand way too sheer. for a better full coverage version of this I prefer MAC's mystic l/s.

This lived up to all the raves. I was a little nervous of the colour in the tube, since I'm a PPP, but it added a nice sheer tint to my lips, without drying or giving off that nasty lipstick taste. I'm definitely going back for more when this tube runs out.

I finally made myself buy Clinique's "Black Honey" just to see what was so great about it. I have to say, I really love the color. I didn't the very first time I tried it, in fact I tossed it back in the box and got ready to ship it back, but I'm glad I gave it another chance. It has a smooth, very sheer application and if you're looking for a great everyday natural lip shade this is a great pick. Definitely a keeper!

My lips are genrally quite dark in colour so it's hard for me to find a lipstick that doesn't look too dake (pale colours are a no-no on my lips).
Was a bit freaked out when I saw the colour (think Elvira) in the tube but pleasently surprised that upon application, the colour is really natural . . . reminds me of the colour you get after sucking on popsicles!
I find it quite moisturising as it doesn't dry out my lips and I like the glossy colour as well.

Black Honey is a gorgeous shade. I don't wear it everyday, but it is my fall-back lipstick. It goes with everything and looks great if you want that no-makeup look. It's only problem- it does not last! I also have to wear it with lipliner or it feathers on me. I pair it with Bamboo lipliner, which is alse very pretty.

love this...my everyday color when i just want a nice, neutral but not boring look. it is creamy, shiny, moisturizing and the color is great for me...goes on a warm berry brown on my highly pigmented lips.

This is really nice for a natural look--the perfect daytime red with a hint of brown. Goes on smooth and easy and leaves your lips graciously (unlike most lipsticks--don't you hate that ring of color around the edges of your lips after you've just eaten a meal?)

This product did nothing for me. I have very pigmented lips and it didn't show up. Was so dissapointed. Then again most lippies don't work for me due to the colouring in my lips grrr. Expensive as well.
