MAC is my daily go to eye shadow. The color selection is vast, the pigments are nicely concentrated, and the staying power is above average. Still on the lookout for my HG, but this will work fine until then :o)

I keep going back to MAC because other brands don't offer as many colors. You can find anything from brights to neutrals at the MAC counter. There are also many different finishes..the choices are endless. They can be hit or miss in terms of quality (pigmentation, blendability, staying power, etc) but for the most part, they are good. The best of the best ones are far superior to the best of other brands I've tried and I've tried plenty of others including those that are more expensive.They cost 14.50 per pop which is pretty steep for some people like me so I only buy them once in a while.

MAC is very well known for their color ranges, trends, and funk. They are fun, artistic, and different. But when it comes to pigments, they lack it. Sure, they have all the colors of the rainbow for eyeshadows but they lack pigment. I have to use a lot to get the color I want. I like that they can be metallic, shimmering, matte, etc. But the color isn't strong enough and doesn't stick to my lids the entire day. Better choices out there.

Although I love the heavy pigment on these shadows, I seriously hate the fact that it irritated my eye to the extent that I couldn't even open them and would continuously tear up until I take them off. If you are somewhat sensitive (because I don't consider my skin sensitive at all) this product may not be for you.

i own several MAC shadows. overall, they are good shadows. but i think the biggest draw is the color selection. because quality-wise they're not really better than most other department store brands.

Wonderful pigmentation, easy to blend, huge variety of color choices...
it's been one of my favorite e/s recently. Except for the a-little-high price, I have nothing to complain about it : P

I think that its been almost five years since I've purchased a drug store brand eyeshadow. After trying MAC, I slowly but surely have moved on to this brand and this brand only.
The colors are so rich and go on smoothly. If you go on their site, they even tell you what other colors complement one another.
Yes, it costs $14, but the pan will last you for a long time.

I love love love MAC eyeshadows their color selection is amazing and the texture is sfot super blendable and of course super pigmented. those colors are ture to your skin as they are in the shadow pots.

meh. i'm failing to see the hype about MAC eyeshadows. i've tested a bunch of them at the counters throughout the last 2 years and i only own 3 of them. yes, the color range is amazing... but many of the colors are dupe-able with less expensive, equal if not better quality drugstore brands... just search the makeup boards and individual beauty blogger websites to see just how much so.

MAC has inspired me to play with makeup. Before I only felt safe with a good foundation, mascara and lipstick or lip gloss. After going to the MAC counter a few times for them to do my makeup for events I got inspired on learning how to put the eye shadows. I have many other ones, but somehow always go back to the MAC Eye Shadows. Since I learned how to play with them I am addicted to MAC Eye Shadows. The ladies at the counter have helped me to learn different techniques, and now I have my OWN!!!! So exciting... Anyway... These eye shadows last ALL DAY... I love that. Even when I do a quick makeup in the morning and put just a little bit it lasts all day. I also like their paint, paint pot and pigments in combinations with the Eye Shadows. Love them!

I love these eyeshadows - I can't find another brand with better quality of eyeshadows, more colors or more finishes.
The range og MAC eyeshadows is definately the best!

I loveee Mac shadows. As long as you get a good eyeshadow brush, these shadows will go on great. Very smooth and flawless, and the colors seem almost made for your skin. Easy to remove with makeup remover pads, in yet they're pretty good at lasting for a few hours. You may need to reapply, but they go on great. worth the price for the right color.

For the pricepoint, I think the quality of the shadows could be better. I have older MAC shadows that are highly pigmented; however, the newer shadows I purchased were about as pigmented as the drugstore brands. Smashbox and Urban Decay eyeshadows are longer lasting and more vibrant even without eyeshadow primer.

MAC is very much famous for its variety of colours of eyeshadows. It is considered expensive for a small pot, but the finishes and colour payoff is to die for for most of it's popular colours. Again, MAC is always coming up with new colours and themes that is too appealing to resist. The colour payoff depends on the texture of the eyeshadows. They come in FROST, LUSTRE, MATTE, MATTE2, SATIN, VELUXE, VELUXE PEARL and VELVET.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Mac eye shadows. I love all the wonderful, bright, brilliant colors and the shimmeriness of many of them. I love the round tubs that last FOREVER. Best damn eye shadow to be found on the planet, for sure.

I enjoyed the color selections you can get I think any color in about any shade that you can think of. They are very pigmented and went on and wore well. Took off two lippies cause I believe I got a red copper color that I wore and the color was OK was not terribly impressed because of my pink undertone. But, my eye was red and watering all day at work and I could not get it off. I looked ill to most people. Dang sensitive eyes are such a bummer most of the time.

i LOVE MAC eyeshadows. i happily repurchase over and over again. the colors r amazing and so many to choose from, mix n match or alone. they all r brilliant. i too stay away from the matte ones bc im in to the shiny look, but if it fits u then there isnt a bad thing to say. my EVERYDAY is Retrospeck and then i pick colors/colors to wear. def. my staple shadows, dont purchase anything else. i too have ALL day wear, no creasing or disappearing. good work.

I really wanted to like these eyeshadows, because MAC is such a prestigious brand, but after buying 4 of them over the years, they just aren't the best out there. I have All That Glitters, Mulch, Embark, and Juiced. The colors go on nicely enough, but I find that they all crease and come off by the end of the day. Also, they are quite expensive for what you get. There are better eyeshadows out there that stay on longer and have a nicer texture. Try LORAC eyeshadows: although the color selection is not as vast, the texture is almost creamy and have wonderful pigmentation!

MAC eyeshadow is great. It's one of those products you really need to use to know the difference. They blend so well, and the colors are so vibrant.
