Used this when my skin was combo (as opposed to "dry" now) & it was my HG foundation. Always gave me a flawless face guaranteed, & people would think I had skin that was porcelain-like perfection. This foundation never quit on me through the day, either. If my skin hadn't changed, would definitely still be buying it.

The first time I pay for a higher price makeup product. I tried the sample and really liked it so I went to but the full size product. In the store I asked the sales lady to put it on me. She did so with a large brush. I usually use a sponge applicator, but she said a brush gives better coverage and would not obsorb the makeup. I guess the lighting was not very good in the store, so it looked like the product was a good match. Then I purchased it.
When I got out into the sun light, I saw that it really looked like a mask. And my pores really shows, then I had my second thoughts. A week later I thought I give it a try again before taking it back to the store. This time I put it on with a sponge applicator. Supprisingly, it turned out really well. It didn't look "make-up", and the pores were covered, even my everlasting zit was diminished. So I am give it a good rating here.
About the packaging though, I hate that it's in a bottle. So hard to get the stuff out of the bottle. And I hate the powery feeling it leaves on my hands, I always have to wash my hands a few times after puting this stuff on. So I don't think I would pay the price agian for this product. But I am definitely hooked on the higher end of makeup products. Looking to try new a better stuff.

I tried Photogenic Foundation because of the ads! I'm old enough to know better dang it! This foundation always appeared mask-like on my skin, it sat on top somehow never morphing into my skin. And to top it off, it made pores stand out, pores that I didn't even know were there. All in all a terrible foundation for me although I am glad that it works so well for others :) For reference I am N/D Mature skin type with cool undertones.

This is actually one of my favorite foundations. The sheer coverage and excellent shade range offer my skin just what it wants. It has a slight SPF for protection and has light-reflecting pigments that make my skin look flawless. Lightweight formula and oil-free. Plus it does not cause breakouts on my normal-combo skin. I used this foundation off and on for about 5 years now and I keep coming back.

I'm glad that I did not actually purchase this foundation. I had read that it was a good one, but it just didn't work for me. I got a sample of it a few days ago from a S/A at the Lancome counter, she matched me to "Buff"
Good color, but it just did nothing for my face other than make it greasy and break out, I am 39 and hardly ever break out! : (
I hated that it was such a dissapointment for me considering the good reviews, back to the drawing board!

I used this for a few weeks and wound up throwing it out. It accentuated my pores terribly.

I wear this in Buff 2-excellent color match (GA LSF #4), and very nice, sheer-medium coverage. This works better for my normal-combination skin than the Colour ID foundation, which I found has no really perfect colour match for me, and also has a greasy look after a few hours. I am actually liking this better now than the LSF, which also seems to look a little too "dewy" after a while. This with the Photogenic powder compact is now my holy grail, no fail, everyday foundation. **UPDATE** I keep changing my mind wear foundations are concerned...I think my skin is continually changing and foundations that didn't work before are suddenly working for me...the Photogenic looks too masklike on. I have gone back to color ID and found a great match in the II-20 N color.

this is great for those spring days when my skin would start to dry out and it got warmer outside. if i needed a bit more coverage all i had to do was applying a bit more than usualy and apply a setting powder. it was really lightweight, and stayed on forever. the only thing was that i couldnt wear it on days that were wet and kinda humid, as it tended to fade away after the first few hours

I use this in Lys rose (lightest or second lightest shade) when I have a fake tan. I'm a very fair, redheaded PPP (Tarte Facade is a good match for me) and it's just too dark and unnatural for me otherwise - gives the dreaded orange tidemark round the jawline when I wear it without a fake tan. It's also pretty oily in texture and less sheer than my usual choice. I wouldn't recommend it for someone who gets very oily quickly, unless they're prepared to do some blotting during the day. I also see this as more of an 'evening' foundation. It comes into its own in artificial light.
That said - on darker skin, (fake tanned or natural) this foundation gives a beautiful, flawless effect. Just glowing. It's stunning in photos, as other reviewers have mentioned - giving a wonderful 'candlelight' effect. So I save my tube for when I've had a Mystic spray tan, am going to a party, and want to look flawless in pictures. Then I get comment after comment on how beautiful my skin looks - in fact, I don't even need to play up my eyes or lips that much since I know my glowing skin will be the showstopper. So darker skinned girlies and pale ladies who, like me, love spray tans, go for it!

I used this foundation for several months untill I finally figured out this was what was causing terrible cystic acne outbreaks and I tossed it. This is a very thick foudation and can almost have a gunky texture, it's just too heavy and oily. Nightmare for acne prone girls!

I was surprised how much I like this foundation. It looks natural, doesn't rub off and doesn't make my oily skin more greasy. In order to look natural, I had to blend it pretty sheer.. but this is the coverage I want. IMHO for combo skin, it's better than Adaptive, Teint Idole, Maquicontrole and Maquilibre. It isn't the best for moderate to heavy coverage.. I prefer Estee Lauder Double Wear for bad skin days.

This foundation is AWESOME!!! I just recently went to my mom's wedding and when i looked at the pictures...i was amazed how the foundation adapted to my skin perfectly and did not make me look as if i have 2 different colors on my face and neck. They were taking alot of photographs so thats why i chose Photogenic and i didnt see any crazy pictures so far!! Im a Bisque 4. This is a rather pricey foundation but i will only wear them on special occasions, such as weddings or events where lots of pictures will be taken....has a noticeable perfumy scent, but bearable...*UPDATE* Found a better substitute....MAC's face and body foundation is much sheerer, but loox wonderful in pictures and its easier to apply...and u get a great deal bcoz for a 4 oz tube, its only $28.50!!!! It has no scent & great for people who dont want to feel like they have a mask on....I will never cough up on photogenic again!!!

I got an oily and pimples face but I love it! Usually I guess those people with oily skin stay away from it coz of its greasy texture. I love it since I get used to use L'Oreal Pure Zone Anti Regreasing Moisturizer every morning. The moisturizer undoubtfully keeps my face all day shine-fine BUT the problem it brings is that I can no longer use oil-free foundation after that (I can¡¦t even blend the foundation). Photogenic¡¦s ultra-moisturizing texture covers my scars well but yet easy to blend and light enough. My face keeps shine-free and looks naturally all day long. I¡¦ve finished the 15g sample and just bought one from counter a week ago. Give it a try for the combination of Pure Zone Moisturizer + Photogenic, you¡¦ll probably be impressed by the result.

Ok, I absolutely love this foundation. It makes my skin look flawless and natural at the same time. The coverage is very adjustable, yet even when applied more heavily it still doesn't cake. I've tried so many foundations the last couple months and nothing can compare to this. The only thing I do think lancome does need to improve is the packaging. It can be very messy getting the product out of the bottle and the cap can collect so much if not careful.

This is by far one of my favorite foundations. It gives my dry skin a smooth satin glowly finish. It looks much better when applied with a brush and not your fingers, however (if using a brush only a little is needed). Doesn't provide heavy coverage which is a plus for me (don't like heavy foundations) It boosts up my dull skin in winter. Not so good for the summer as you can feel it melting off. But I don't really use foundation in the summer so that wasn't an inconvinience for me. I have been converted to tinted moisturizers so I haven't been using this foundation in the past couple of months. But I will definetly buy this again if I want to go back to liquid foundations.

Very high quality foundation. Like the rest of the photogenic line, it is just the right amount of coverage. Covers well, but is very natural looking, and doesn't make me feel like I'm wearing anything on my face. Also doesn't cause breakouts if I fall asleep wearing it. Bisque 4 matches well with my medium/golden skintone.

I liked the idea how this foundation reflects all kinds of light, ESPECIALLY flash photography light because i'm sure you ladies have fallen victim to the lighter face, darker neck syndrome in pictures so i tested this foundation when i knew i was being photographed [at my friend's brother's wedding] and everything showed up evenly and natural in the pictures. a big plus, however i didn't like how it went on. it's a liquid, a very sheer liquid [i much prefer creamy foundations in a compact or a stick] and i noticed it streaked when i applied it to my moisturized face. i don't know if i was applying it incorrectly [i used my fingers, a sponge and even a brush] but i hated it. it didn't cover my flaws much and as much as i liked how natural it appeared in pictures, i don't use this foundation anymore [my bottle is practically full] and i won't ever buy this again.

The ads for this are amazing, aren't they? That's what led me to try it, and while it was ideal for me for a while, the pigment turned on me and stopped matching my skin -- I didn't tan or go pale, and it was stored in a dry, cool, dark place in my drawer, but after a few months it started looking like a mask after I applied it. So I had to trash it.
