Gorgeous!!! It looks purple in the sun, and a taupey brown in the shade. I love the ambiguity in this. Doesn't chip as much as other polishes and dries faster.

I love OPI polishes in general and this shade is no exception. This polish is extremely saturated with shimmer and it looks gorgeous when it catches the light, but otherwise the shimmer isn't noticeable and it just looks grey on (so not tacky at all in my opinion). In the bottle this looks like a super dark grey, almost black, but applied it was lighter. I would have liked it to be just a pinch darker, but it could be that my manicurist just didn't apply a thick enough coat..

One of my all time favorite polishes! Sometimes I want to do darker polishes, and instead of going for a plain black or dark gray, I choose this. I haven't come across the non-halo version, but I have the halo and it's wonderful! I will continue to buy.

Not that keen on this polish. It's a bit too frosted for my liking. The glitter in this polish is OTT IMO. Applies and wears well as per usual but is too garish and a bit tacky to me.

I wanted to love this one but I just can't. The rainbow glitter sold me on it, but it doesn't do much for the color when it's on. The first coat looked almost dirt brown, and it took 3 coats to get the charcoal look in the bottle. Unfortunately on my nails 3 coats is an invitation to chips, and this was no exception.
I'll stick with OPI Brand New Skates until spring comes.

This review is for the holo version. I'm not really a fan of holos but My Private Jet is a must have. My husband desribes the colour as "gasoliney". I categorize this as a "party colour" - not something I could necessary wear to the office but for weekends MPJ matches with everything and works well day to night. I paid full price for this OPI but it was worth it because it's just so unique.

OPI My Private Jet has two versions; one filled with rainbow holo shimmer and one with just plain shimmer. I picked up the holo one and I love this so much! This has a deep brown base filled with gorgeous rainbow shimmer that can only be seen in direct sunlight. In low, dim lighting, this just looks like a deep brown with slight silver shimmer, but when you look at it in the sun, the rainbow of holo just gleams. I needed three coats to get the best coverage and colour. One coat was very sheer and streaky, the second coat evened it out slightly, but three coats provided perfect coverage that was flawless. It dried to be slightly dull, so a thin layer of top coat made the holo really shimmer and the colour all glossy.

I have been lemming this polish for about a month now and was lucky enough to find a small stash at my local Ulta. The color looks muddy in the bottle and the shimmer looked flat and silver so I was a little put off initially. I finally got got over it and did a full mani and was happily satisfied that I caught my lemming before it jumped off the cliff! On me the color comes out as a neutral, deep grey/taupe base with evenly dispersed glitter. Indoors I just get a hint of the holo glitter effect but in NL the holo glitter effect looks like I have lights on my nails! I've also tried this with a very thin layer of DS Shimmer (I think that is the name, it's described as a platinum color on the web site) and it looks even better! You can still see the base color but with a heavy dose of beautiful, micro-fine holo glitter. The color may not work for everyone but it's definitely worth a try as it is a unique color. I plan to look behind every bottle on the display at Ulta everytime I go just to see if there is a rogue bottle on the loose!

i didn't really want to admit it, but i am beginning to think that i need a backup (or seven) of my private jet. MPJ is widely celebrated as one of the coolest NP out there, and that's with good reason. it's very unique and it works on so many skintones. the holo is simply amazing; every time i wear this i stare at my hands. it's hard for me to remove it to put on another polish. MPJ really is THAT good.

I guess I'm one of the few that just didn't *swoon* over this polish. I liked it ok enough, but no love. Let me start by saying that I think the base color doesn't work with my skin coloring. I'm light with blue undertones. This polish made me looked a bit too washed out or paler than necessary. Now, in the sunlight, it was BEAUTIFUL. I'm pretty sure based on pics that I got one of the originals. However, in regular lit rooms in dimly lit places, this black-brown is all wrong for me and so I rarely saw the necessary bling. Recently, I bought ChG Wagon Trail and the color I get in dim lit areas is what I wanted with MPJ and did not get.

Rainbow-shimmery dark grey with plenty of shine. I use Poshe topcoat with all my nailpolishes and it gives me longer wear. My Private Jet is a classy fall color that I will probably wear numerous times! yay!

Unlike most other posters here, I do not see this as a black or gray base color. Every time I wear this, I mean to write a review to make a case for the brown in this color that no one else seems to see.
To me, the best way to describe it would be to say it resembles auto window tinting. (Living in CA, I have always gotten all my windows tinted, no matter what the going regulations are. Only got one fix-it ticket in 20 years, too!)
The first and second coats look like my front windows, a smoky, brownish sheer. The third, and sometimes, fourth, coat brings it to bottle color, and look like my rear windows from the inside, which are "limo" dark- just shy of black, but not gray.
That being said, I think it is the tempering of the dark color with a brownish hue that makes it so wearable for so many skin types and differentiates it from all the black polishes out there.

Gunmetal with rainbow glitter, yet smooth as silk. Doesn't streak at all and comes with pro brush. I use 3 coats. Only 4 bucks (pro stores). Unique and fun, but I don't wear it as much since its summer.

This has actually become one of my favorite OPI polishes it is right up there with Senorita-rosalita and OPI red. It is greyish and very sparkly. I love it. the application was smooth and the color is forgiving with mistakes. I added a sparkly Cover Girl top coat with silver glitter and it looks twice as nice. I usually do not want to repurchase particular colors because I already have a huge OPI collection, but this one I will repurchase before it runs out because it is already hard to find!!love it a bunch and I totally recommend it.

Love. this is so pretty. I don't normally like multi-colored shimmer but this is soo pretty. subtle yet strong. it needs a good 3-4 coats to get a deep and even color and even out streaks. a coat of poshe gives it an even more beautiful shine. i'm so over black creme color but this has awakened my love of black'ish colors. i can't believe i didn't have it until now.

WOW! I love this color. From pictures online it looked cool and interesting but basically just okay and not like something I could wear. Well I finally bought it and in person it is so much more gorgeous than it looks in pictures. The holo is finer and more shimmery looking and it looks like the night sky, I love it! I think it actually looks more beautiful from a distance than super close up like in pics. To me it looks black in most light, not gray, although I used 3 coats. It's just subtle enough to not scream holo from a distance but shines and sparkles in such a gorgeous way. I will be finding excuses to wear this gorgeous, gorgeous polish for a long time.

I'm not sure I can say anything that hasn't already been said. This is a dark, dark gray color with fine rainbow holographic shimmers. Best with 3 coats or fine to layer over other darks. Very glossy, great wear.
It's amazingly smooth for something this shimmery. UD's Midnight Cowboy is a beige with holo sparkles. It's pretty but *so* gritty and makes me appreciate MPJ that much more.

This is very pretty in the sun. I use 3 coats and get a black holographic color. However, any other time it just looks charcoal gray. I probably won't be wearing it again. 2 lippies for OPI's awesome staying power.
