I used this while pregnant since I was told I couldn't use anything with salycilic acid and I ended up loving this. It doesn't break me out, removes all my makeup even mascara, etc and doesn't leave my face dry or tight. I have combo/oily skin and it works wonderful. I'm not too crazy about the smell but for the price and how well it works it doesn't really bother me. I LOOOOOOVE it and will continue to buy.

I really love this cleanser. At first, I just planned on using it as a cheap backup cleanser for when I ran out of mark's That's Deep Purifying Gel Cleanser (which is the one I was using before), but I liked this one so much I ended up switching. It has a nice clean scent that isn't flowery or obviously fragranced in any way (now that I think about it, it actually smells exactly like you would expect a cleanser to smell), and it effectively removes all my makeup at the end of the day. It's also extremely affordable and easy to find, which is important to me; I hate having to hunt for stuff. All in all, I expect I'll be using this one for a while now. I have found that, no matter how hard I try, I can't resist experimenting and I'm constantly buying new skincare and makeup products to try out. But I definitely plan on repurchasing this. It works, it's simple, and it makes my skin look bright and healthy after cleansing with it.

I recommend washing your face TWICE with this cleanser to get all your makeup off. The first time you wash your face it will rinse off the makeup, the second time it will cleanse your skin and start to foam. I have been using this product for years and I swear by it for removing all traces of makeup even eye makeup. Just don't get it in your eyes because it will burn.

I've used this product for several years. It's great for removing makeup. I can use it to remove eye makeup and it doesn't irritate my eyes. It has no scent and is non-irritating. My main issue is with the packaging. I lose a lot of product whenever I try to close the pump. Other than that, it's a great product!

I really like this cleanser. It takes off my makeup and makes my skin feel really nice and refreashed. I will repurchase this product again. 1-2 pumps is all you need. It has not dried out my skin or make it feel really tight after washing. It is a great product

What can I say that hasn't already been said about this fantastic cleanser? I've been using this for the last 5 years and I have no complaints. I have combination skin that is oilier in summer and drier in winter. I use this cleanser year-round. I find that it does remove ALL of my makeup (I wear a moderate amount and nothing I wear is waterproof) and eliminates oil and dirt. I use an entire pump at night; otherwise, it will not lather or work as well. I also use a washcloth at the very end to further remove any makeup or cleanser residue. In the morning a pearl-sized amount is more than enough to lather and cleanse the dirt/oil on my face from sleeping.
Since I started using this cleanser I haven't had to buy eye makeup remover or cotton pads, so I've saved $$$ over the years too! It's officially my HG cleanser.

I'm not crazy about this product. As a makeup remover, it really sucks, and it smells like cheap dish detergent. To get good use out of it, I use it after I remove most of my makeup with something more effective. HOWEVER, as a makeup brush cleanser, it rocks. This is why I gave it three stars.

I have gotten this product like 4 times already and have been using it for a while. It's simply wonderful. It takes off all my makeup and leaves my skin feeling very fresh. I have oily skin so this is perfect for it. I DO NOT recommend this for dry skin, ONLY OILY SKIN. It is fairly strong but i think there is another product from this line for sensitive skin. The packaging is great but not for travel because it doesn't lock completely (i have spilled a few times). When i first pump it into my hands, it's this magical silvery, beautiful substance (i like to think it's unicorn blood haha) When i start rubbing it into my hands, it foams up, then i apply it only my face and yea, it's great. The only problem with this stuff is that if i'm wearing a lot of makeup, i'd have to repeat and use this twice to get rid of all of it. However, it does remove all of it! i don't have to worry about that, even my waterproof eyeliner, and it doesn't hurt my eyes much at all. With that said however, i do go through these pretty quickly, and it helps that it's inexpensive. I used to use the clinique cleanser and hands down this one's better (although it doesn't last longer) I don't think i'm going to buy it after i finish my last bottle because i'm going to try an acne preventing cleaner. (having acne has nothing to do with this, it does have to do with me not taking care of my skin) if you have NORMAL/combination,OILY skin, this product is GREAT! (ALSO, it does not prevent acne)

The fresh Foaming Cleanser does a good job of taking off all my makeup BUT

I do not like the smell. Like others have said, it smells like dishwasher liquid.

And my skin feels very, very tight dry after I use it. I have to apply moisturizer.

I will not repurchase.

I paid around $6 for a 6.7 ounce bottle. I wouldn't say the scent is fresh. To some extent it reminds me of dishwashing detergent, then again, my dishwashing soap smells better. The fragrance in the cleanser doesn't seem to irritate my skin so i'm not bothered by it. As for its efficacy at removing makeup, this cleanser completely removes my bb cream and Shiseido SPF 55 sun cream. Those of us who have used Shiseido sunscreens know how difficult it is to remove them! I previously used the DHC cleansing oil, but found that it was the source of my breakouts even though it thoroughly removed my makeup and sunscreen. The DHC Cleansing Oil is priced at around $26 for a 6.7 ounce. I do find that it can be slightly drying when rubbed in for too long.
Since this is readily available and is reasonably priced I definitely will be repurchasing through college :D
This is the reason why I can continue wearing my Shiseido sunscreen :DDDDDD
Update(8/13/2011): This might be irritating my skin. I think my skin turns a little pink every time I use this. Gahh. -____- It worked so well at removing my sunscreen too!
Pros:
-Completely removes bb cream and Shiseido sunscreen
-Doesn't dry out my skin
Cons:
-Irritates skin, which is a shame because I actually thought this would be a gentle cleanser D:
I'm still giving it a five star rating since it does what it claims to do and it's also very affordable.

Honestly I found this product to be no better than using dish detergent and it smells like it too. It made my skin feel tight ,red and rough. Not more effective any other detergent type cleanser off the shelf. I will not buy this again.
I love some Neutrogena products but this one is a no no .

Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser is a cleanser and a makeup remover in one. Removing makeup before you go to bed has never been easier. This dermatologist tested formula effectively removes dirt, oil and makeup. It even removes eye makeup; it rinses completely and will not leave any pore-clogging residue. I purchase this from either Wal-Mart or Target for about $4.99. This is another favorite product that I clean my face with every night, I really like it because its a cleanser and makeup remover in one and it makes things very simple and easy to take off my makeup at night. I have been using this product for a few years now and it has really helped my skin and this product like the one before helps me to control my oily skin.

I bought this to gently cleanse and remove light makeup. This didn't agree with my skin. On the bright side, it's awesome at cleaning makeup brushes.

Pros: removes makeup, oil and soap free, didn't break out skin
Cons: dried out and irritated my oily skin (to the point where my usual products stung and my skin peeled), I don't care for the chemical citrus smell.

Really like this cleanser as it does a pretty decent job of getting the last of my makeup off [I use a makeup removing towelette first] and it does a great job removing sunscreen. I use it with my Olay cleansing brush and it is not at all harsh.

I love this product! I can see why other people might not though. It's great for my oily East Asian skin - it leaves it feeling clean, and I have no problems with drying out since I always moisturise afterwards. It goes on and, more importantly, off very easily since there's no gel that can stick to your face.

The thing I love the most is the self-foaming dispenser - it foams far better than I can, and I only ever need half a squirt. One bottle managed to last me 2 whole years with daily use!

My only complaint is the menthol smell/tingling - it's refreshing, yes, but that means I mainly just use it in the morning. I recently bought another Neutrogena self-foaming cleanser, so I should be set until 2013... :)

The best drugstore face wash! It is the ONLY and I mean ONLY face wash that will remove all of my makeup. That includes my long-lasting Revlon Colorstay foundation and my L'Oreal 16 hour Eyeliner which are typically more difficult for other washes to remove. So basically it's like a makeup remover and face wash in one. The less I have to do before I go to bed, the better! The product comes in a bottle with a pump which is great because fumbling with a tube or bar of soap with wet hands is not fun. The cleanser has a very light, fresh scent but nothing over-powering. The name "foaming" would spark an image of bubbles galore, but it doesn't really create a lot of suds. That's okay because it does its job and that's all that really matters! I probably wouldn't recommend this product to someone with super sensitive skin or someone that doesn't wear much makeup. This is created to be a heavy-duty cleanser so it might be a bit too harsh for those folks.

I can't quite get this product to foam in a productive fashion but it still does a thorough job, especially in the PM before a good night cream. It takes off waterproof mascara just fine. I usually use Neutrogena's Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover beforehand but i think i will not repurchase the latter since this cleanser does a great job on its own.

I couldn't figure out for a while why my skin was really red and peeling all of a sudden. Then I switched back to my olay sensitive skin cleanser and I realize DUUUUH! it was my neutrogena!!! I always had that overly squeeky clean feeling after using it and skin felt too tight but I never put it together until recently. I also ended up with perioral dermatitis which I saw someone else mention in a review too! coincidence? hmm... not for sensitive skin for sure!!!
