This is an antiperspirant you apply at night and it controls pit sweat the next day. You can go for several days in between using it.

I sweat a lot during the summer. A LOT. And although I still have armpit sweat when I use this product it is nothing like when I don't use it.

The cons: It stings like hell when I put it on. I DEFINITELY do not use it on days where I shaved under my arms, because the stinging is almost unbearable.

Another con: since it is an antiperspirant, it doesn't control odor. SO, I have to apply a deodorant during the day to help with that problem.

All in all, Certain Dri is the best "clinical" strength product I have tried. ...Secret Clinical was more expensive and didn't touch my perspiration problem. I'll keep buying this and working with it.

I gave this a high rating and yet I wouldn't buy it again. It does what it claims to, oh yes - I don't sweat a drop with this. But I have sensitive armpits anyway, and this stuff is absolutely, intolerably itchy. This is extreme itchiness you can't ignore kind of itchiness. But enough of it managed to sink in before I itched my armpits into oblivion the several times I applied it - I kept hoping the itchiness would go away - and it did work, wonderfully. I don't sweat excessively, but I get odor easily. And when I didn't sweat? I got no odor.

I think this is worth a shot for everyone and is a great product. I can't use it, but if you can, you will love it. Especially if you do have trouble with excessive sweating, you must try this.

Edit: Tried the STICK version. MUCH more tolerable and same effectiveness! If you can't tolerate this, try that!

A must have for girls with extreme wetness and odor. I cannot live without this. Works better than any clinical deodorant. Just wish the bottle was bigger to hold more product.

If only I had known about this earlier. I bought the certain dri roll on which retails around $7 in my area.

this really does help with underarm sweating. I normally can sweat through two shirts layered if i am anxious, under pressure, etc.

In those situations now my underarms just get a little moist, so it hasnīt completely made my underarms desert dry.

I was a little nervous about my underarms feeling itchy, or being too sensitive but that never happened. They never felt itchy dry and i never got any type of reaction to this product.

I use this at night and in the morning i put on a deodorant that i like the smell of!

This stuff is great! It's a little frustrating that you can't use it after shaving, because it means I pretty much have to use an other deodorant for all the times I want to step out of the shower and still be dry.
I sweat quite a bit and this definitely helps, although I don't think it really helps with odor the same way other deodorants traditionally do. But overall it does the job, and is reliable, and would buy it again.

I sweat a lot for a woman. I would have to consciously wear darker clothing to cover it up. I never had BO but the amount I was sweating was ridiculous! this stuff is awesome! I went around lifting my arms at work (showing my friend) lol

I use this at night and sometimes during the day (mostly if I didn't apply it in the AM), but you have to make sure you wait a while AFTER you shower. Also, I'm not sure, but I wonder if I got a bad batch (my third bottle was ineffective, I'm on number four now) so if this doesn't work for you the first time, try another bottle :)

I've had a problem with excessive sweating since I began puberty. Although I don't have a problem with BO, the pit stains are just so embarrassing, especially since I'm a dancer. I'm the kind of person that sweats all the time, even if it's freezing out.Through makeupalley I came upon Certain Dri. After reading so many positive reviews, I went to my nearest Walgreens and purchased the stick version because that's what I'm more used to. It worked alright but I was expecting better after all the rave reviews. I decided to try it for a month and see how well it worked. I only saw a small difference. A couple weeks ago I decided to give the roll-on version a try and let me say it is amazing. If the stick version isn't working out for you, I highly suggest the roll-on. I saw a dramatic after just the first use. It did itch and irritate me the first couple applications but now it's not so bad. Make sure to follow the directions though. Apply at night and not after showering or shaving. Since the roll-on is liquid it could get a little messy so I apply it with the top facing up. The method I use is that I apply the roll-on every 3 days and on the off days I apply the solid. This product truly changed my life. I am now more confident and I'm able to wear anything I want without worry about pit stains. Certain Dri is inexpensive, easily available. and works like magic.

I first used this many years ago when I was working retail in the mid '90s and found that I was sweating like crazy during the day - not the best when you're trying to give pleasant customer service! It was so bad some days that I occasionally felt tiny rivulets of perspiration running down my sides. Not to mention that my left armpit seemed to be way more overactive than my right. Altogether: not a fun situation and I was feeling beastly!

I found this stuff on a bottom corner shelf at the CVS that was located in that mall. The dull packaging and poor shelf placement certainly didn't seem too promising, but the fact that it cost more than the others made me wonder why they could get away with charging more for it. I was desperate and sweaty, so I took a chance.

Wowsers! That day changed my life. This stuff shut off the waterworks! I finally felt empowered after so many years of feeling like a swamp-monster girl. Since then, I've purchased this product numerous times and learned a lot about it through trial and error. Here are some tips I can offer:

- ALOE: When you buy the Certain Dri, pick up a tube of pure, unscented Aloe Vera to have on hand just in case. This will be a great help as you adjust to this antiperspirant, it's usually pretty cheap, and it has many other uses as well so it won't be a waste of money.

- USAGE: Once a day was OK to start. But once you start to notice it working (pretty quickly), try going to every other day, or every few days. If you use it every day for any extended period of time, you will get the stinging armpit drama.

- STINGING ARMPIT DRAMA: If you get the sting, grab that pure, unscented Aloe Vera gel and apply that to your underarms. Let the sting die down for a day or more before even considering applying more Certain Dri. Consider using Certain Dri less frequently as you figure out what works for you. If I apply Certain Dri at night, sometimes I'll apply some aloe in the morning, to be proactive in preventing dryness and stinging.

- TUNE IN TO WHAT YOUR BODY TELLS YOU: Many factors affect your sweating, so be kind to your body and adjust your Certain Dri usage to fit your personal needs. Some things that can affect your perspiration include: hot vs. cold weather, the humidity, your monthly cycle, your diet, your age, the materials your shirts are made of (cotton, polyester, blends), stress, physical activity, and on and on.

- PACKAGING: This is really one peeve of mine and is the reason I've taken off one lippie in the rating. This roll-on bottle does leak. I apply carefully and always store upright. If you travel with it, put it in a ziploc bag, or it may leak all over your other toiletries. Certain Dri has been around for awhile now, and I can't fathom why they haven't taken the lead from the myriad other companies whose roll-ons are well packaged. Come on, Certain Dri, give us a better roll-on bottle already.

All in all, this is an HG product for me, with room for improvement in the packaging department. It does what no other antiperspirant has done for me, and I am so glad I found it.

This stuff really does work. I have horrible night sweats and I do a pretty intense work out during day....absolutely no sweat and no odor. It is amazing. A miracle. I was one of those girls who when nervous or anxious I get sweaty pits....wet marks on my shirts...yuck...not anymore. I am so glad I found this product and I will never ever buy anything else again. Seriously girls...try it. Worked for me after the very first application. It might cause some tingling but nothing that will keep up at night.

This is definitely THE BEST ANTIPERSPIRANT!!!!! out there! I have always had trouble with sweaty underarms, not excessively, but bad enough for them to sweat and get stinky even after a couple of hours out the shower.

I decided to try this based on the reviews on here, I have to say I AM SO HAPPY I found this site and this product! I have been wearing it since Monday and til today (Friday) I have not "stank up" any of my clothes norade them wet. This California "winter" hot weather would have had me sweating from the walk from my car toy classes. I would always be so insecure sitting down infront of someone worrying that I wud smell like underarm. (it wasn't that bad, but I was embarrassed).

I will never NEVER give this product up! Thanks u certain dri

This product is beyond words. I am indeed impressed. I even blogged about it an the CEO of Certain-Dri sent me an e-mail to put my review on the website (makeupprincesss.blogspot.com) I wrote a review because I had sweating problems. It is disgusting to have wet spots under your arms. I never thought anything but injections can help me. But Certain Dri proved me wrong. It worked instantly I put it on when I got home, did it wrong the first night but the second night I did it right, went to school & work and came home dry. I was in shock, like you don't understand ... I couldn't believe my eyes. I NEVER EVER in a MILLION years thought something they sell at a drugstore across the street would work over night to help my sweating problems. Thank g-d for Certain-Dri they have stopped my problems for good. Last week I purchased Certain-Dri AM and am also impressed with how it is working keeping me fresh all day. Certain-Dri PM was purchased a couple of months ago, so I didn't buy it the other day and am saying I love the way it works .. I have been using it for about 3 months and it has been nothing but amazing to me! I hope this helps you all with your purchases. And if you have sweating problems, this is your answer!

this product was an absolute lifesaver for me! i sweat a lot..maybe cause i'm small? 5 foot and 100 pounds haha so maybe i just don't have room for water but i sweat like a guy and it's gross. i have tried every deodorant known to man and woman and nothing has worked. i take a shower every morning i would literally shower, dress, get ready and be out the door and my underarms were already wet. i couldn't wear tight shirts anymore until i found this! this stuff is AWESOME my arms are not even close to wet. so happy this stuff has literally changed my life. the only thing is my arms itch and burn like crazy sometimes but i put lotion on or just itch it and pretend it's not so bad. either way the results are soooo worth it.

I've had a problem with underarm sweat since puberty. I couldn't wear T-shirts or really any colored clothing because I would get sweat stains. It's ridiculous that I had to deal with this problem for so long! Certain Dri is an amazing product. I looked on makeupalley for a deodarant that would solve my problem, which is certain dri. You put it on everynight or so. For me, the first day it didn't really work, but as i applied it every night, it worked better and better each day. The only downfall with the product is that it's really messy and drippy, and it itches and burns my armpits like crazy when i followed all directions. But beauty is pain.

So I am totally one of those people who sweats randomly and for no reason (thankfully don't have to worry about smells). It usually happens when I am wearing tshirts, or even long sleeve shirts, and do not feel any discomfort whatsoever. A lot of times this results in major deodorant stains and ruined clothing, which is the worst part.

I got Certain Dri just a couple of days ago and based on good reviews and commercials I've seen for this product. I have used it only a couple of times so far and it definitely works!
I got the roll-on version, which is great imo. I apply the product very carefully, with the container pointed upward so that it doesn't spill or drip all over the place; this way it only applies the right amount of product to desired areas and dries very quickly.

Aside from slight itching, I have not experienced any problems with it at all. It is a really good product and I am so glad I won't have to deal with stains and ruined clothes any longer. Not sure how it performs long term, so I will wait to decide whether or not I need to repurchase. So far it's great and I would repurchase based on initial reaction.

This is the only antiperspirant that really works for me. I've tried the "clinical strength" versions of other deodorants like Secret and Dove, and they don't even come close to Certain Dri. I use it as directed at night before bed, and it halts all my underarm sweating the next day.
The only thing that's a pain is that the rollerball version is obviously a liquid, and it drips all over the place. I have to mop it up with a tissue or it makes my side itch, and I feel like I waste a little bit of product each time I use it. I had a problem with itching at first but I'd use some cocoa butter lotion on my underarms after it dried, and I don't have much itching at all anymore.
It's also an antiperspirant, not a deodorant, which means it won't do anything for any kind of smell you might have, so I use a cheap scented deodorant in the morning so I don't stink.
Certain Dri has really been a godsend, I've been using it for almost a month and I've noticed such a difference. It's a pain to use but it works, give it a try if nothing else has helped you in the past!

i sweat a loooot and this product really helps. Many people say it itches when you put it on, but thats only if you put it on after you have shaved. Other than that it's an amazing product and has reduced my underarm wetness dramatically.

(Review of the rollerball version) Full disclosure: I sweat. A lot. Fortunately, my sweat isn't the sort that smell much, but my pit stains had been embarrassing me for years. Certain Dri has fixed that for me. Long story short: It works. There are some problems with it, such as not taking care of smell and the itching. But after using this for several months, I have a few tips for using this.

1) Moisturize your pits. I know it sounds weird, but just lotion them up after they've dried and you will avoid some truly awful itching.
2) Hold a tissue under your pit while applying this. The liquid formula works the best but it drips alot. Since this stuff can itch, you don't want it all over your body.
3) Use an alternate deodorant in the morning to keep the smell fresh. I use Crystal, but any deodorant (rather than antiperspirant) should work.

After watching a review on youtube, I thought of giving this deodrant/anti-prespirant a chance in great hopes of solving my sweating issue ( which happens only when I am out of my house & short sleeves on, I know it is weird). It did work for the first 1-2 months, with the stinging and itching and sore underarms, it did work. It did manage to reduce/stop my sweating, but then lately it has stopped working. It didn't keep me dry and I was facing the same old problem again. So, I had to switch to Avon anti-prespirant and it is working good now.
You have to keep in mind for the Certain-Dri to not ever use it after shaving your underarms. It literally itches bad until you wash it off, or do what I did, put some baby powder in that area and the stinging & itching would calm down. And i used both the roll on & the stick formula, but only the roll-on seemed to work. I used the stick one when I needed to use it after shaving. Overall it wasn't a waste of money, but would not repurchase it.
