I had acne since i was thirteen. I used every product under the sun and nothing worked. I've been using this whole line of products for eight months now and my skin has been clear. I even stopped for awhile and I started to break out again. Once I started useing this product again my skin cleared in two weeks. I would recommed this product.

LIFE. SAVING. PRODUCT. Seriously, this is the best thing I've ever done for my skin. I started using this about a month ago, and within the first few days, my skin was clearing up. Within two weeks, it was crystal clear and smooth, and it's stayed that way since. I used to have the most acne-prone skin, especially on my forehead, but after using this daily I don't have anything resembling a bump or clogged pore. This is literally the best my skin has been in 10 years or more. It did cause some annoying peeling/flakiness when I first started using it, but my skin eventually adjusted. Wish I had discovered this years ago. It's eliminated so many steps and products in my skin care routine, and it actually does what I hoped all those other products along the way would but never completely accomplished.
Seriously worth a try, and it's more cost effective than any other 2.5% BP you'll find. I used Neutrogena's On the Spot before this, which worked as well, but this is much cheaper AND it's completely vegan/not animal tested (Neutrogena does test on animals).

I've tried many acne products in my past: Differin, Proactive, Murad, along with drugstore medications like Clean and Clear's Persagel 10 and the AcneFree Terminator 10, and even the homemade aspirin mask and toothpaste. I'm still iffy about this, but this along with Proactive has cleared my skin. Some won't like this because it might severely dry out their skin but, for me, that's not a problem. I mean, that's what moisturizer is for, right? Like the website says,You're gonna need a lot of moisturizer. Because if not, your skin will be as dry as the Sahara Desert! The only downfall to this product is that whenever i put it on, it makes my eyes seriously water. But then after a couple of minutes it's gone. And also, it takes forever to dry, which sucks if your planning on putting on makeup over it. And if you don't follow the routine on the website precisly, i find that u don't get good results. Overall i like, been using for a month now and my skin is way better than it used to be, i'll continuing using until i find something better.

It works!
I'd tried the regimin (applying BP 2x per day) twice before for my not-ridiculous-but-still-consistently-annoying acne for about a month each time. No luck, so I abandoned it. My skin kind of cleared on its own after a while.
A few years later, I began to get acne all over the lower part of my face (yay, mysterious hormone changes!), and I tried a ton of different stuff to make the vile creatures go away.
Desperate, I pulled this bottle out of the cabinet and gave it an honest go, applying more every morning and night than I really wanted to. I did start small, as directed, applying about half a finger's length for the first three weeks.
Those first three weeks SUCKED. My skin had never been so dry. It was flaking and felt awful. People commented on it all the time. I almost gave up, but l really was desperate for something to work, and I'd read that the dryness was just a phase.
After 4 weeks, the pimples slowed down - didn't disappear, just slowed down. By the 4th week, my skin was also looking and feeling less dry. In the next 3 weeks (bringing us up to date), my skin pretty much cleared up completely.
I don't have beautiful, glowing skin, and I don't love having to slather this chemical crap on morning and night, but I have to say: It made the difference.
Now my skin is drier than it ever was before I started the treatment, but I just use heavier moisturizers from time to time.
Bottom line: This is not the perfect miracle product, but it really does work (if you stick with it) and it's cheap.

i actually just use my own variation of these products, but follow the acne.org regime. My skin began breaking out when i was about 13, i tried prescriptions, all kinds of skin care- clinque, natural skincare etc. when two years ago i discovered acne.org and i was at a point where i just wanted my skin clear and would try anything. when i first started it dried my skin out so so much in the first couple of weeks, however i have sensitive, combination acne prom skin aka its horrible to deal with. this basically cleared up all my cysts and pimples within a month. however when i started on the birth control pill i began breaking out again an even after changing to a different pill i still broke out, so recently i changed to 5% BP which has added more dryness to my skin but cleared it up again. i just really encourage people to try this, even with their own mix of products, it finally sorted out my acne and made me feel good about myself again.

I've struggled with acne of varying degrees of severity for about 9 years now and after trying god knows how many spot-fighting products and ill-advised medications I can say that this is the only thing that truly works for me. I've been using the treatment in conjunction with a gentle cleanser and moisturiser for about 2 years now and finally have mostly-clear skin!
However, it does come with some pretty nasty downsides. It dries my skin out like you wouldn't believe, slows down the healing time for any existing pimples and leaves behind unsightly, red marks that take months to fade (though these are to be expected with any benzoyl peroxide-based product).
I wish I could find something less harsh to keep the cysts at bay, but for now this is staying firmly in my daily routine.
ETA: This has now completely stopped working for my skin.

I am going to skip all the details and just say that this product works. HOWEVER, I used it for a long period of time, and although it made my acne completely subside, it made my face pale (paler than the rest of my body), skin texture rough, I couldn't get any sun exposure, and I always looked washed out. I gave it 3 out of 5 because it does what it promises... but are you willing to look like you're sick 24/7?

I love the Regimen! I have been struggling with breakouts for 7 years and when I began college my skin was horrible. I tried covering it up with makeup, but that would not hide the bumps all over my face. Since I started using the Regimen I only get the odd breakout, and it is gone within 3-4 days! I originally was using all 3 of Ben's products: the cleanser, treatment (BP), and moisturizer. Then I started to switch back to my old Neutregena moisturizer, and it works much better.
*Keep in mind, it takes a while for your skin to get used to the Benz oil Peroxide and you will experience VERY dry skin initially, but your skin becomes accustomed to it! In my case it took my skin about 2 months to adjust. Now my skin is soft, and clear! (besides my acne scares) errr.
TRY THIS PRODUCT! and give it enough time : )

I bought the 16oz version of this after using my Neutrogena On-the-Spot treatment, which is miniscule compared to this product. I don't follow Dan Kern's regimen of applying this product, instead of blending or massaging the product in completely, I slather it on and cover the infected area with the bp at night. I use about 3 pumps of it to do so. In the morning, I take about half a pump to a pump and massage it because I put makeup over the bp. The product is extremely drying, but nothing that a thick vitamin e cream cannot fix! I've been using it for 2 weeks now and my cystic acne has come to surface and a few have already dried and dissiapated. I am very happy with the product and the great price! The only thing I would suggest to Dan Kern is to replace the Sodium Hydroxide with some sort of other ingredient. Sodium Hydroxide is a strong base, which can affect people with eczema (I have ezcema, so i know which ingredients to avoid). But overall, it's great for the price.

This product is my favorite skin discovery of 2011. I am very acne and clog prone but my skin is generally clear as long as I use appropriate (for me) products and stick to a consistent routine. However, since switching birth control pills a year ago I have been plagued with cystic breakouts on my chin and jawline. I could treat them when they appeared but nothing I used prevented them, except for this product. I started out using this nightly (thin layer all over face) and eventually moved to every other night. I also use a little extra to spot treat when necessary. I've been using it for almost 3 months and in that time I have not had one cystic breakout. I have had a few small breakouts that resolve quickly, but nothing even close to the whoppers I was getting previously. I never had an issue with flakes or excessive drying but my skin is quite oily and I always moisturized after applying this. Because it's a gel, it absorbs quickly and it also goes on clear. The price, shipping, and online ordering is totally justifiable to me since I finally have something that works. I highly recommend this.

I don't use the recommended full amount but it still works great for me. I do find it a little gritty, which is kind of annoying but not too big of a deal. One of the most reasonably priced products on the market. The acne.org site is really informative and helpful too.

I've used this BP gel for about three years now and I'll never stray away from it!
I've had moderate acne since puberty and not much else has worked. I tried Proactiv which worked amazingly well for about nine months, but after that time the magic stopped and I was left with more severe acne breakouts around my chin, and jawline area. For about a good year and a half I suffered through trying product after product, going to the dermatologist, and doing at-home treatments (such as aspirin, egg white, and apple cider vinegar masks) to which none worked!!! Finally, I stumbled upon the acne.org community and followed Dan's regimen as he recommended. Within the first day, I could feel a noticible difference in the way my skin felt. It simply felt cleaner even though my current acne breakouts hadn't gone away yet.
With continued use, my acne breakouts became less and less; however, I still get the annoying period breakout from time to time no matter what I do.
On a side note, I used a full pump of BP gel when I first started, but now only use a half pump because a full pump makes my skin irriated and flaky. If you're still flaky after using a half pump, or you find the gel isn't working for you, you might want to consider using a weekly exfoliant. I use Paula's choice 10% AHA once a week and I think it allows the BP gel to work more effectively since there is less dead skin build up.
Packaging is good up until you've reached the last bit of product. At the time, i have to turn the bottle upside down and shake it furiously to get the gel out with my fingers. I wish they'd make the BP gel packaging in a squeeze tube like the AHA lotion so the product is dispensed easily to the very end, but I suppose it's small apples when compared to the results I get.

I must be a weirdo. It sounds like these products work awesomely for everyone except for me. My chin has been getting two recurring cysts on it since I started the regimen. Also, the new breakouts I've been getting have been deeper and more painful than most zits I have had in the past. On top of that, my skin is so dry and flaky and ugly now.
I think the soap is ok, but not good for acne, and it's too bubbly. Maybe I can use it for a body wash or something.
The peroxide cream part of the regimen makes my eyes water. It seems way too harsh for me. It is definitely the cause of my dryness and flakes.
On the bright side, I was surprised how big the bottles were. And the packaging is made of good materials. I really wanted this to work for me. Now I have to go back to square one and try something else, don't even know where to start, ugh.

This product is great.
To start off, i guess im acne prone. From scalp, face to back acne (serious types with cysts) from college. Tried other brands of BP like oxy and they didnt work until i found this
Had purchased the 16oz on 2 seperate occasions including the recent purchase.
Its the best BP i have came across my entire life! and i am serious.
The BP comes in a gel, smells is not overwhelming, and best of all is not drying and is able to absorb to the skin fast. Other BPs i came across take quite a while to absorb and this is not the case here with acne.org BP.
Effectiveness wise, this is the king to battle acne or zits. I used it for my face and my back acne. On the first ocassion when i used it, it cleared my skin and back from pimples TOTALLY from moderate / severe within like a month with the combination of AHA and cleanser from acne.org too.
Now im back on it because of breakout on my face and back again. This is my 2nd day on it and i would say im happy with the progress. This high quality BP causes fast skin turn over rate, getting rid of dirt skin which clogs my skin. Kills off bacteria and is not too drying.
Only downside is the stock availabilty over in Singapore. Can bleach clothes too, but wearing white is not a poblem for me.
Whats even better, the huge 16oz size can last me at least 3 months with my moderate / severe acne! would expect less but the effectiveness of clearing up my acne is fantastic.
Try it if u have not, many have not regretted and im sure it would help u alot!
Update on 28 JAN 12: After like 1 to 1.5months, my back acne has cleared. Leaving just marks and scars. My face still breaks out ocasssionally but right now its clear, just scars.
BP quanity left: 3/4 i guess. HG for clearing acne.

I had great skin up until I was a sophomore in college. And when I say great skin, I mean no cystic acne and just the occasional white heads (one or two at the most!) DURING my monthly "gift"; NO JOKE. I also didn't have to wear foundation or concealer anywhere else BUT my dark circles. What happened? I have no idea but I started breaking out on my cheek area which then lead to a massive cystic breakout on my forehead. So of course I freaked out. However, I kept with my old routine of washing with a drugstore brought salicylic acid wash but my acne never went away. Desperate, I started googling for ANY routine that would help. And eventually, I came across DKR the regimen. At first, the BP stung the s--t out of my sensitive skin and it made my VERY oily skin DESERT dry. And at this point, my dead self-esteem went into the negative zone -- my skin was painfully dry AND wearing makeup only worsen the look of my skin! But I read on their website that this was bound to happen so I stuck it out. For me, I didn't see results and didn't stop breaking out until the fourth month. I just completed my half year mark and there's no acne left. Just scars. On a side note, I only use jojoba oil (to remove my makeup and to moisturize), the cleanser, and the BP, and baking soda diluted in a lot of water as a scrub to help my hyper pigmentation and exfoliation. I don't use the AHA or the lotion because they break me out and are way too greasy for me. Also, those who are suffering from bacne (back acne or body acne), I had a severe case that started in sophomore year of high school (that's why sophomore years are my worse years as you can see the trend...). The DKR cleanser and BP really helped me clear up! I'm clear now and the results were quicker than on my face; I saw results in a month. But beware, dry skin might show up and don't give up! It usually takes three months for ANY regimen to work! BEST OF LUCK!

UPDATE: This stopped working for me and i had to move on to a 5% concentration. Not sure why, but my acne was coming back. Once I stepped up the percentage, my face cleared up again. Also I don't know what's up with this, but every time I put it on, it made my eyes sting and water even though i got it nowhere near my eyes! Like I would scrunch them shut for several minutes while the stinging went away - something akin to getting mace sprayed in your eyes but not that bad. It was weird. I have not had that problem with other BP products I have used over the years.
best BP out there IMO. Goes on nice, no white residue, no fragrance or unecessary stuff. Does the job, no frills. I use it in conjunction with prrscriptions and the acne.org cleanser.

Words cannot describe how thankful I am to have stumbled upon this product. :)
This literally brought my self confidence up to where it was before I had acne.
Pros:
-made my acne disappear!
-gets rid of those pesky lil bumps.
-got rid of melasma. (Or however you spell it)
-made me happy!
-great price for how much you get.
Cons:
-suuuppper dry skin! (Luckily goes away!)
-shipping to Canada is expensive!
-said to cause premature aging..
-I think it made my hyperpigmentation worse.
-pimples take forever to go away if you get them while using this
Overall I love this. I don't need to use it very much anymore. My skin is clear, nothing makeup can't hide anymore.
If I could meet Dan, I would express so much how happy I am that he started selling this!
The shipping is horrible tho. BP is $16 US, but after adding $21 CAD worth of shipping, its just crazy!
UPDATE:// this has sadly, stopped working for me. It wouldn't control my breakouts completely, and wouldn't prevent them anymore. I will keep this in my drawer, and take it out to use when I need it desperately. I have noticed fine lines, almost frown lines around my mouth, and bags under my eyes from this product. Also, forehead creases. This is not good, because I'm only 15! It does work, and if it works for you, great. :) however, I have started using Melelueca Zap It! And its worked great so far.
