I love this product so much!! I have sensitive skin that dries out really easy. Anything with a little bit of foam dries me out but at the same time if I use something that is made more for dry skin (excluding Cetaphil) it makes me break out. Honestly with my skin I don't have acne but I am prone to break out with the smaller pimples.

This product covers everything, my skin does not dry out at all, does not cause pimples, helps clear my skin up, removes makeup and removes my stubborn sunscreen.

I love how feels on my skin too, only use a little bit, I use a dime size amount. It foams really easy and it feels like your rubbing silk on your skin. There really is nothing I can say bad about this product besides the price.

I have sensitive skin that gets dry easily. Almost every cleanser I used leaves my skin feeling “tight” afterward. So for the past couple years, I have been using Cetaphil…until I find something better, as Cetaphil does not remove makeup nor heavy sunblock in the summer months. My future sister in law gave me Shisedo gentle cleansing foam. At first I hesitated to try because foam cleanser normally leaves my skin dry and tight. However, this one remove make up and leave my skin well cleansed without any drying effect. It’s not very foamy, more smooth and creamy in texture actually. It does feel nice when you lather in on your face. $29 is expensive for a cleanser but if I have the money, I would definitely purchase.

So far so good. I am using this product along with Hydro-Nourishing Softener, Night Moisture Recharge, and Day Moisture protection. It seems to remove your makeup well without drying out your skin. I have combination skin that tends to be on the slightly drier side. The Night Moisture Recharge leaves my face a tad too "wet" feeling.

I like this cleansener, but it is not so gentle first of all and it is too gentle when it came to make up removing. Nice scent ( I really don`t know why they are all putting perfume in the face care products!!!). I have combo skin and I love foaming cleanseners, but why they make always my face tight? I guess, that there are no such thing like foam without tight feeling on the cheeks. But I will not repurchase this because it dose not do the job. It leaves a lot of my shimmer make up on the skin! I will use this only mornings.

I am on my 3rd tube for this. Previously I was using SK-II and although I love it, the price, I couldnt love.
Anyhow this is a great alternative. I have combo skin and after cleansing with Shu Uemura A/O oil, I use this to feel extra-cleansed. I have sensitive acne prone skin but this is not stripping. I also like the comforting smell which is the usual Japanese cosmetic fragrance, slightly rosey. The consistency is good too. I can get quite a lot of foam out of little. Will continue to use this unless SK-II put their price down = ]

My everyday HG cleanser! It's probably not as gentle as stated on the packaging, but it leaves my skin clean, soft and fresh. It's a foaming cream and it's super efficient, a pea-size amount is enough to work up a rich lather!

Have already repurchased and will do so again.

i have extremely sensitive skin, even some products meant for sensitive skin sting like hell for me, its that sensitive.

when i ran out of my usual cleanser i thought that i would give this a try.

im just using a sample at the moment, but so far soo good.
it not stingy, and my sin doesnt feel so dry and stretched like it does when im using other cleansers (except of my usual stuff which ran out). it lathers up nicely and feels really soothing as i massage it into my skin.

to take it off, rather than spalshing the water onto my face and makeing a big mess, i use a muslin cloth soaked in luke warm water and gently wipe my face clean.

i love this!"!!! the only reason ive given this an overall 4 is because of the price tag, £20 for a cleanser is really much! i dunno if i could keep up buying this again and again, but i guess until i find a better product i'll be happy paying the sky high price

My HG cleanser. Removes m/u better than any other cleansers I tried, doesn't dry my skin (gentle!) and I only use a little bit each time so it's even economic :)

I received this as part of a Shiseido 3-pack sample and I like it as it gave my skin that squeaky clean feel. However, I have very dry skin and I worry that it might be too drying. Since this was a single-use sample, I would have to try it over a period of time to see what the long-term effects on my skin are, but I do think I will buy it and see how it goes. I've been using DHC's Deep Cleansing Oil and moisturizing soap, but it's a 2-step process and getting to be a bit of a hassle. But, since it's literally oil it doesn't dry out my skin. I like Shiseido products overall and this definitely does a good job at cleaning off my makeup.

This foam smells great and is gentle on my skin. I use it with my Shiseido brush. I love how it foams well, and my skin feels very clean afterwards, and not dry. I have yet to find a product better than this ... I've been trying some cheaper ones, but they aren't as good. It's a little pricey, as most shiseido products are for its small size, but the quality is awesome.

This is mediocre at best. The name is deceiving as this is not extra gentle. My skin feels stripped and very dry when I use this. The good thing is, if someone likes using it, the tube will last for freaking ever! I will not repurchase because it's too drying for me, but might work for oily skin types. I like the scent, but again, this is not extra gentle.

I'm really surprised at the rave reviews for this product. I got a sample of The Skincare's 3-step system at Shoppers Drug Mart and last night, when I discovered I'd left my Burt's Bees cleanser in my mom's shower, I decided to give it a whirl. I am shocked that they market this as "gentle" and that sensitive skinned gals are liking it... my skin is only kind of sensitive and this kind of stung my face! The stinging wasn't that bad though, the worst part was the over-drying! After I washed it off, my face was very dry, RED, blotchy, and a little tight. Never good. Don't like the smell either- too soapy. I suppose it's supposed to smell "clean and fresh" but it could do that without smelling like Ivory! In fact, with the way this product works on my face I may as well use Ivory. Ivory at least takes a few uses to make my skin red and dry!
I gave it two lippies ONLY because I think it would be OK for oily-skinned people. But it's not for me. Too stripping. Glad I didn't actually buy it.

For the first time in a long time I decided to use a foaming cleanser instead of my regular cream/milk cleansers just for a change. Given that the Pureness Foaming Cleansing fluid completely dried out my skin and left it far too squeaky clean for my liking, the proclaimed "extra gentle" cleansing foam in The Skincare line immediately became my next best option. However, just like how I had made that impulsive decision to buy the cleanser from my nearest Shiseido counter, I immediately regretted it the moment it touched my face. Yes, the very thick, white cream does lather up beautifully into a nice frothy foam and does an excellent job of cleansing my face - makeup, oil, gunk et al. But no, it is also most certainly NOT GENTLE. I only used the tiniest, pea-size drop but that in itself felt too much for my combo skin. It is difficult to rinse off as it keeps re-lathering/foaming and leaves my skin feeling tight and dry. My skin is more on the oily side of combo so I was a little surprised at that. I also did not like that distinctive lingering feeling of soap suds on my face, regardless of how bright and fresh it looked afterwards. Overall, not the right product for me but should be excellent for people with oily skin.

I tried this some time ago. It's a descent cleanser but not for me because it strips my face typical of most Japanese cleansers.

Love, love, LOVE this cleanser. I am a Shiseido junkie and from past experience, you have to play around with which products work for you the best with this company and when you've got the right one from them, you'll love it.

First, some backstory: about 5 or so months ago, I decided to switch to Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser to wash my face. Ladies...BIG FACKING MISTAKE, it was. About 3 months later, it started wreaking havoc on my skin and I got breakout after breakout after breakout. So I got kind of desperate and went to my Shiseido counter to shell out some money on some new skincare and started using a 5% BP cream on my acne. If you disregard the acne, I'd have normal skin, with a little more oil in the T-zone and nose. My usual SA told me I should use this one so I don't make my skin too dry.

You don't need to use very much of this cleanser to make it foam up really well to cover your whole face--just maybe a little ball that's the same diameter as the tube's nozzle-thing. I lather it on my hands first and then spread and massage over my face. After you rinse it off, you'll think the SAs are lying because your face feels like there's no oil left, but it feels very smooth and very soft. You just need a good moisturizer (I follow up with The Skincare Hydro-Balancing Softener (toner) and The Skincare Night Moisture Recharge). Ironic as it is, my face actually got less oily with this cleanser. I am really surprised because skincare isn't supposed to work that way--normally, it's the less oil that's taken away from your skin, the less oily, you'll be. But I was pleasantly surprised.

I have a ways to go with my tube, which I'm quite happy about because it means the initial worth of I believe 39.00CAD will even out to be much cheaper. Will repurchase until my face changes again.

I have been using this product over 2 years... I have tried many different cleaners such as BB, Dior, Chanel, Clinique (unfortunately), benefit but this is THE ONE! I love it because it takes away all my make up leaving the skin smooth and clean. Obviously I follow it up with the moisturizer. I have a combination skin and too much oil can make it really oily. So since i have foiund it I am have not changed it... Its a great product to try out.

I received a deluxe sample of this and tried it during summer days when I have combo skin. My slightly oily T zone loves this thing but my slightly dry cheeks apparently hate it. I feel that my skin is very "tight" after using this on my cheeks, a little bit like drained out of water and I had to use a moisturizer immediately. Luckily it didn't irritate my cheeks too as sometimes my skin can be really sensitive. I will have outbreak of pimples if I use the wrong thing. However, it cleans my nose quite effectively. There are less blackheads right after using this. I don't think I will buy this one but I will recommend this to ladies with normal to oily skin type. Also, it would be a great choice for those who like foaming cleansers as this foams up easily, which is rich and thick.
