I absolutely love this color. Its a beautiful warm coral color. I pair this with Pink Grapefruit lipglass and the combination is gorgeous. Im a NC42 for reference.

One of my all time favorite lipsticks. I love the lustre formula. Doesn't last very long, but it's worth reapplying. This is a great summertime color... Looks Great With a TAN!!

I love this l/s! The color is a perfect coral pink and very flattering on warm-toned skin. It's an easy, fresh lippie that brightens up the face and is great for daytime wear. It's buildable to a deeper coral. I find it's quite pigmented compared to some of my other Mac lustres. Staying power is so-so, but I love the color so much I don't mind having to reapply.

i loveee Sea Sheer.. it looks fabulous against my NC 45 skin tone.. applied lightly, its perfect for day time, just a tad brighter than a regular nude lip.. perfect summer colour! the only thing thats bad is that since it is a Lustre, it doesnt have staying power.

I went to the MAC counter and asked to see a peach lipstick, a darker color, not a pale peach as these leave me looking washed out. The MAC girl gave me the See Sheer lipstick and topped it with the Bare Necessity lip gloss. This combination is amazing! It's a great corally pink that looks fab with my Asian olive skin! Just what I was looking for- a fun summery lip look. See Sheer is described as a grapefruit pink on MAC's website and I would say that is accurate. Some people has complained that this lipstick seemed too orange, but on my olive skin definitely more just a grapefruit pink color. On its own it is very natural looking on my pigmented lips, maybe a little boring, but a good color for work, especially in the summer since it is part of the lustre lipsticks. Bare Necessity is part of MAC's dazzleglass line and even though it looks brown on the website, it is more of a sparkly apricot nude color, so go by it's description and not the color swatch. It's basically an apricot version of Oh Baby lipglass(which is a sparkly nude) and looks great by itself too. I don't know if I would rebuy See Sheer because as I said before it's just a tad ho hum by itself. Will I use it up? Definitely-I'll wear it to work a lot and the consistency would allow me to wear it in the heat of summer and while I was doing something active outside. Do I feel fabulous when I can pare it with the lipgloss? Absolutely. Packaging great, price decent...4 lippies out of 5.

As others have said, this is the perfect spring/summer color for those with neutral or warm coloring. I am a NW 25 with neutral coloring, have dark brown hair, hazel eyes, and pigmented lips. See Sheer is not at all reddish on me. It's the perfect mix of pink and peach and creates a very soft look. I LOVE this color!

I was looking for a peachy pink color, but this one is dark orange -almost red...I am disappointed. But it's not a terrible color either, so I keep using it from time to time...

I tried out my friend's See Sheer. I look horrible. It's orange. It doesn't look good if you have a tan. you are just totally washed out. I am guess it might look good on pale skin. But if you get a tan or have some pigment, it won't look good. It also looks weird on my friend because her skin tone is between light to medium.
Lustre is a good formula. I have some lustre lipsticks. They are not drying. That's why I give the overall rating 2 for non drying formula. It's very important lipsticks are not drying, otherwise it's not easy to apply and not wearable. But this color is just a joke.

Thank you MUAers who recommended this lippie based on my coloring! I posted on the MU board that I was looking for a l/s to brighten up my face this summer and posted my pic with it. My hair is dark brown, eyes dark brown, fair to med skin, non-pigmented lips. It is a pinkish coral on me. I was worried about trying coral because I don't want to look like a grandmother or a clown with too bright a color. But because of the pink tones, this is just so pretty, and not overwhelming. My BF even likes it on me! I highly recommend this color for gals with my coloring for the summer. Try it!

I originally had no intention whatsoever to get this lipstick because the tester was all disgusting. However, I had to pick 2 Back2Mac lipsticks, so I picked this one and Vegas Volt. At first I was skeptical about it, but now it is my absolutely favorite day-to-day lipstick. It is sheer, but with color. It is coral red, but no scary at all. I have very pale skin, dark hair, and girly features, so this lipstick makes me feel super "cute". I like it. :)

Rock and Roll! I love, love, love this colour for spring/summer! I have pale skin, dark eyes, and dark hair, and this coral/pinkish colour looks great on me!

I find that ALL lipsticks go redder on me due to my pigmented lips, so if that is the case for you I def. think you should try this colour out. It's bold, yet natural, if that makes any sense. It is easy to pull off day or night. This is now a staple in my collection.

See Sheer is a pretty medium toned corally pink with no shimmer. I am on the fence about this. Chanel Exaltation is similar but has a tad more brown and I find I reach for that one more.

I'm NW20, very dark brown hair and eyes and I never thought coral was for me... but this is my new HG. It's very flattering and easy to wear, but just ever so slightly unexpected and offbeat because it's not a generic brown or pink. Because it's a Lustre it's buildable colour but I do find it very pigmented.

I like it with Ladyblush and Point Black flicky eyeliner. Don't usually find the Lustre lipsticks need a gloss but Lychee Luxe lipglass or Slicked Pink lipgelee both look pretty nice if that's the road you want to go down.

This is a very beautiful color but I'm debating on whether it's the right color for me or not. I have a feeling it will work so much better in the summer as I am somewhat pale right now but I don't know if I want to make the mistake of keeping it and it doesn't work like I'm hoping. It's pretty bright yet sheer at the same time. Very coral/reddish.

MAC’s shade description is quite right “pinked grapefruit”. You know when toy slice red grapefruit in half if that reddish color had a hint of pin it would be this color See Sheer, nice summery coral color (reddish pinky-coral color). It is warmer color, and would be really ideal for the red heads and the ladies with darker skin tones. Color is buildable, you can just dab it, or put several layers to make it darker. Lustre formula is quite hydrating, but I am giving it 4 lippies because staying power is not so great (after 2 hours I have to reapply it, and I am not one of those girls that lick their lip all the time, and from whom lips lipsticks disappear). It also tends to bleed. I do not think I will repurchase it, because I will not use it every day, so I think it will last. For reference NC 25, green eyes, dark brown hair.
EDIT: Took of 1 lippie because staying power is zero, and a second one because it bleeds like crazy. Very messy!!!!!!

Usually I really enjoy MAC's lip products but I found this particular colour and texture didn't mesh well. It looks really cute with natural makeup and feathery mascara with a touch of liquid eyeliner, as it's a very 50's colour lipstick (I thought.)
The colour is corally-plum with a hint of pink, which changes on loads of people. (All my girlfriends have tried it and it has appeared in about 10 different shades!) The texture didn't suit me, as i'm a matte to semi-matte chick, but it's a run of the mill MAC colour.
I would reccomend a sheer 'Hue' which is a babydoll pink, or the matte 'Please Me' which is more red-magenta.

This is a really pretty bright pinky coral color that can be applied very sheerly. This is my only MAC regular lipstick, and I love the smell, although it may be strong for someone who is sensitive to smells. Because this color is a little bright for me (I usually do a very nautral lip color), I apply balm first and then sheerly apply this color to get a perfect sheer coral pink lip color. This is a Lustre, and I would definitely reccommend this!

I'm surprised by the negative reviews; to me this seems like an average, wearable lipstick that's a standard reddish pink with a little bit of beige-y brown thrown in. I don't think "pinked grapefruit" is an accurate description on my lips because it has too much red in the pigment. I found this color to be fairly bright and always wore it with a balm underneath, which created a very fresh, pretty reddish-pink effect that is more suitable for daytime. I am, however, quite pale, so someone with darker skin might be able to pull off the full effects of this lipstick better. I'm also warm-toned, which is probably why the color complimented my features; I'm not sure if a cool-toned consumer would look good in this.
I love MAC's black bullet lipstick packaging. It has some heft to it when you hold it in your hand, and I know it's metal because I was once carrying some magnets (physics class; don't ask) in my bag and found that this lipstick, as well as my keys, had attached quite strongely to them. I also like the slight vanilla scent.
If I ever do need a standard lipstick again, this is the one I'd purchase. I think the price is reasonable, the formula is smooth and moisturizing, and it's an overall good product. I am, however, more of a tinted lip balm girl and am much more drawn to MAC's Slimshines, despite the flimsy packaging and lack of product for your money.
Besides this, I only gave See Sheer a 3/5 because it could last a little longer on the lips, plus it's annoying to always have to pair it with a balm just to tone down the color.
