I love this foundation. I never would have tried it if it wasn't for all the MUA reviews, because it's kind of expensive for a drugstore brand. But this stuff is better than a lot of high-end foundations I've tried. It evens out my skin and smoothes out dryness while still looking totally natural, like I'm not wearing anything. It goes on so smoothly you barely need moisturizer under it. The colors are all natural and yellow-based (I got it in Buff). It doesn't cover every flaw, but my skin just looks better overall when I'm wearing it. I don't know if the kinetin actually does anything, but the foundation is worth buying whether or not it improves your skin. The ball applicator is kind of weird, but swiping the foundation off the stick is easier than using than a squeeze tube or dipping your fingers in a bottle with no applicator. I don't know if this is my HG, but it's the best foundation I've tried so far. Don't hesistate to buy!

God, this is depressing. I was sure this foundation would work for me after reading the reviews here, but this is one of the worst foundations I have ever tried! It sinks into my pores and makes them look even larger than they already are! I can also see it on my skin, and if you put powder on top, even really good powder, it looks like Old Lady Face--chalky and obvious. Damn, the exact opposite of the natural look I try to achieve. It's back to the drawing board for me.

I love this and would definitely buy again, I have this in warm shade and it makes me feel flawless when I put this on.

This is a great foundation, creamy texture, nice yellow-based color, and a dewy finish. The first time I wore it, a lady working at the Lancome counter complimented me on my "perfect" skin. I bought a bottle for my mom, and she is a believer as well.

I am currently on my second bottle of this foundation and I really like it. I have the color sand which is really nice on me because it has a yellow base. This foundation blends very easily. I usely apply it immediately after I apply moisturizer to make it more like a tinted moisturizer. I have dry skin and this doesnt end up looking flakey. A lil' of this foundation does go a long way. I comes in a glass jar and the lid has a little stick on the inside of it that you get your foundation off of (hard to explain-sorry!). I recommend this to anyone with normal to dry skin looking for a nice drugstore foundation. UPDATE:::2/25/04. I still give this 5 lipsticks but I found my HG... Bobbi Brown Moisture Rich.

This foundation did not give me adequate coverage and went on too pink, but the bottom line for me was it felt gritty.

I took a chance on this and was pleasantly suprised. I wear the Buff/Chamois 02, a little pale looking when I put it on but blended fantastically. I use a sponge because it is a thicker, dewier foundation and I use the ball to apply. Unlike some of the previous reviews, I like the applicator on this product. Other bottles I have to shake and shake to apply to my sponge, this is just a direct application with the wand/ball. I have combination skin and this makeup wears beautifully for me. The only think that I don't care for with this product is the smell. It really bothers me.

I had read some reviews on here this foundation comes in yellow based shades, so I thought I'd give it a try, but when I put the stuff on it was a thick wet pinkish white mask. Yuck! I'm giving this three lippies just because I think I might have liked it if it had really been yellow based because of how smooth this stuff was.

So far this is what I use. I don't LOVE it, but I haven't found anything better. I'm scared to try anything else. I goes on thick or thin, depending on what you want. I don't really use the applicator cap that comes with it. I like it, though, because it allows to me to get the minimal amount of foundation I need by just running my finger across the little stick. It covers well and blends in nicely. I'm still trying to find my old love, that cream stuff by Maybelline that I wore all the way through high school, with the SPF? Where did it go? :(

This is a pleasant surprise for a drug store foundation! I have nothing to complain whatsoever except the clumpsy "deluxe applicator"! Buff is the perfect colour match for me, the coverage (medium) is just right when applied with a sponge, it's neither drying or greasy for my combination skin, looks natural and stays on all day! Now, with SPF15 and Kinetin, what more can I ask for?

I really like this product. I was plesently surprised, as I did not expect it to be as nice as it is. I love the applicator-tip that is in the top of the bottle...it'll help when it starts to run low. I didn't look like I obviously had make-up on, yet it covered everything and it lasted!

I bought this in a trial size, and boy am I glad I didn't buy a full size! It magnified my pores and stuck to dry patches and felt a little irritating. It also gave me a little rash that took a few days to completely go away. No good for me.

This was not for me. I bought a sample, and as soon as I applied it I noticed how my pores just popped out like I put them under a magnifying glass, not to mention that it didn't have the medium coverage that I read about. AS I WAS applying it, I got a little bit in my eye, and it has been BURNING and IRRITATED all day,, to the point to where if it isn't better in the morning I will have to go to the Dr. I have tried irrigating it and everything. I am a contact wearer and had to go in my "ugly" glasses. So,, I will not buy the full size and will never forget this product! It has been a painful experience...so don't get it in your eyes! lol.

ahhh this foundation is soooo great! all the colors are neutral and very nice. It blends beautifully and has a soft finish. It looks very natural on skin and it has spf15 in it!!
however i took 1 lippie off b/c the bottle and applicator is sooo annoying, its a ball thingy at the end where it picks up the foundation and goodness..its just irritating, but the foundations great:D
BTW- The coverage is sheer.

Bought this after my daughter used my Smooth Result foundation and the bottle broke. I really like the Almay Skin Smoothing Foundation. It gives me great coverage. I have also been using the Smashbox Photo Finish primer and love it too. I'm older, 39, and love it.

A very cool foundation. I love the little applicator with the ball at the tip, and the texture is very nice. It blends in nicely, and its coverage is incredible!

Wow! I'm really impressed by this foundation. The Kinetin offers light-medium coverage, so I save it for my 'bad-skin' days. It leaves a semi-matte finish (not shiny like other reviewers have said) on my combo-oily skin & the color selection really isn't that bad for drugstore. The SPF 15 is just another really strong point. I'm using Buff right now - it's a tiny bit too light, but workable. I may have to move up to Neutral for when I get darker, though. The only problem is the weird smell, but that does go away very quickly & this stuff wears quite well throughout the day. Overall, great stuff!

The coverage of this foundation is closer to light than medium, but it is somewhat buildable. If you only need something to give your complexion a little oompf, this is worth trying for its natural-looking application. It's v-e-r-y dewy, and the shine factor does bug me, but this stuff seems to agree with my skin, so I'll keep using it 'til it's gone. My skin seems like it hasn't been breaking out as much since I've been using this. It's been about a month, and it actually looks like it makes my skin a little smoother too. Maybe that Kinetin really does work.

Love this! I have it in Naked which is just right for my summer skin, but could probably do with a lighter one for Winter.I've never got on with stick foundations, but this isn't too runny either. It goes on with medium coverage and makes my skin flawless! :-D The smooth feeling is amazing, but did go a bit tacky after a while (could be because I couldn't stop touching my face!) doesn't smell like plastic either. Great looking skin for £10

I really wanted to like this foundation - but alas, it didn't work for me. It didn't blend well and for some reason, made my pores stand out. The color was too pink for me (I used the lightest). When I wore it, it was obvious that I was wearing foundation - especially in a good light. Bummer.
