Not only does this work for minor cuts & scrapes, but it definitely heals blemishes faster as well. I use the cream not the ointment, since I have very oily skin.

I LOVE Neosporin! It not only does what it says (pain relief AND heals quicker), but it's also great on acne! (Cream does better) That came to me as a total surprise but, hey, if you use it on cuts and burns, why not pesky pimples? :) Heals them quickly and it makes certain ones not so painful.

Neosporin works GREAT. There isn't a time that I have used this and the cut/burn/scratch didn't heal up. It really does work great and it makes scars etc vanish. I've used this product for years, and this is one that I will forever have on hand.

This is probably the best antibacterial cream out there, perfect for any kind of open wound... be it a large gash from a fall, or a zit that you couldn't help popping. It doesn't sting like the one my mom used to put on my wounds when I was a kid. I think it was called Terramycin, or something like that.
I wish the packaging would be a bit more simple and classy, since I like well-designed products. But since it IS medicine after all, I'm not really complaining too much. And its effectiveness more than makes up for whatever it lacks in aesthetics.
Note: Always get the Neosporin CREAM, not the clear ointment kind, because the cream stays put while the ointment gets all over the place, and is considerably more oily.

When I have a one of those big painful pimples on my face, I use Neosporin to bind a dissolved aspirin together and make a paste. The aspirin helps with the swelling and the Neosporin keeps it from flaking off and from getting the icky white goo.

I usually get Walgreens' generic of the Neosporin + Pain Relief Cream, but I had a coupon so I got the Neosporin brand name.
I have never broken out from the Walgreens' version and use it on healing and scabbed over zits. However, it has happened 3 out of 3 times since I just started using the brand name. The only difference on the ingredient list is mineral oil in the brand name but not the Walgreens--which doesn't make sense because mineral oil isn't pore-clogging and is tolerated well by me in other products.
Ingreds:
Active Ingredients: Each gram contains: Polymyxin B Sulfate (10,000 units), Neomycin (3.5 mg), Pramoxine Hydrochloride (10 mg)
Inactive Ingredients: Emulsifying Wax, Methylparaben, Mineral Oil, Poloxamer 188, Propylene Glycol, Purified Water, White Petrolatum

I use this on cuts and scrapes and it takes the sting and burn away. I have even tried it on pimples, and it works pretty good. Everything seems to heal more better and quicker, especially when used with a bandage. A must to put in a first-aid kit or medicine cabinet.

I love Neosporin! And if anyone has an awesome claim, it's me. Haha. A couple years ago, I actually scraped up the entire bottom of my face in a fall. The doctor who did my oral surgery said to just put some Neosporin on it everyday. And in about a week it was GONE. My face looked just like before I had fell! I also use it on zits but only after I pick at them (habit >_<) so it heals faster. Great for scrapes and cuts though. :3 Also used it where I got bit by a cockatoo and it's barely noticeable! (And that one was halfway through my finger XD!;;)

I use this product on my face, the cream not the ointment because it will clog your pores, it fades red marks dramatically

Every summer I return to the U.S. for a few weeks and stock up on all the things I can't get overseas, like Neosporin. (Actually, I CAN get Neosporin overseas, but not without a prescription because of it's "antibiotic" claim.) In any event, like many other reviewers, this is a staple in our house. Love it and will always continue to buy it.

I've used Neosporin ever since I was little. It's healed scars, zits, cuts & scrapes and every other little imperfection. Awesome product!

In my family, Neosporin is one product that we cannot live without! We use it for any skin irritation, from zits to sunburn to actual burns, and it really helps. Great product, it does what it claims - and then some.

I love this! Since I haven't figured out how to prevent acne (I'm working on this!), I have found that this helps heal a zit a heck of a lot quicker!!! What I do at bedtime is dab a good size amount on my acne and then put a circle bandaid over it and the redness and scar lessens a lot quicker than it did before I started doing this. My hubby still loves me even when I come to bed with a bandaid or two on my cheek or chin!
Oh and when you put this on a spot you don't want to rub it in because the bandaid won't stick!
Hope this helps!

Great anitbiotic with pain relief , I managed to hack off part of my index finger with a rotary cutter while working on a Christmas Quilt,, no bone ,, but I did have to go to the ER and when I changed my wrap for 2 weeks straight I used this and it never once got infected and it healed quickly for the extent of the injury and it really does look much better than I expected it to,, great stuff I would def. use it again and have rec. it to my mother.

This is a great antibacterial pain reliever for cuts, and scrapes. A staple in our house.
It helps heal super fast, unlike any others, except maybe, Vaseline ointment, which is great for diaper rash, etc. Two thumbs up!

This is an all-purpose kind of product I'd never be without! I am reviewing the cream, NOT the ointment. Don't buy the ointment - it's greasy and doesn't sink in the skin like the cream. I use it every night on my lips followed by Aquaphor, and my lips are never chapped now, even if I use a lipstick that is drying. I know there's a new Neosporin lip treatment, and I may try that eventually. I also use Neosporin for blemishes, like the reviewer below, if I've picked at them. I know it's bad to do that, but come on, everyone does it at one time or another, and Neosporin makes them heal at least 3 times faster! Everyone should have this in their medicine cabinet!!!

A godsend! I'm a chronic, unstoppable face-picker-atter. This stuff is phenomenal for calming skin and preventing inflammation and infections. I use my Tweezerman blackhead tool, then astringent, then Neosporin cream and I wake up the next morning with FLAWLESS skin!
Also try this with the tiny band-aids on a pimple, it works like a charm.
I get bad breakouts on my chin and forehead during my period. I find that if I use Neosporin cream on those areas at night (after cleansing) during "that time", it prevents those breakouts.

I don't know if someone already mentioned this, but one of the ingredients in Neosporin (Neomycin) can cause allergic reactions, so some people might have problems using it on their faces. I use Polysporin as a moisturizer (the only moisturizer I have found that my skin agrees with), because it only has two anti-bacterial ingredients (not Neomycin), and does not have any mineral oil. It does feel heavy and greasy at first, but now that I am used to it I love it! My skin is never dry, and I never break out anymore.
