I can't believe that this product is not rated higher. I LOVE this eyeliner. Definitely my favorite black eyeliner. I use this on my waterline and it is SO creamy. It glides on with such ease, I don't have to tug on my eyes at all. It's a very rich dark black color, much darker that UD Zero like the reviewer below me noted. It stays put but is also easily smudgeable if you want to create a smoky eye. I love wearing this when I go out. It's a very intense black and I love the way it looks. But again my favorite part is how easy the application is. I never have to run over the line more than once as the pigmentation is so rich. If there's a concern about the eyeliner smudging where it shouldn't or running under the eye, setting it with a shadow will surely fix that. I have very oily and naturally watery eyes so most mascaras/eyeliners tend to either disappear or run on me anyway. But I've never experienced any overly smudging even with my watery eyes with this product. I will definitely repurchase this.

I use this to tightline. It's glides on soooo smoothly and stays put longer than any other eye liner i've used on my water lines. I wouldn't use this on my lash line though, becuase it's creamy consistency causes it to smudge.

my no 1 kajal liner for blackest black on the waterline.
It is blacker than the UD 24/7 pencil - it goes on very creamy, and it really stays for hours on my probably very watery waterline (no other pencil has done so far - I have not tried MAC though).
I think it is amazing pigmentation wise. I doubt you'd find a blacker black somewhere!
I am not lining my eye with it - it could be too creamy. I line with the UD black pencil, and the waterline is done with Stila's onyx kajal. these two work well together - if you wanted to smudge your liner the Stila one may be better since it appears to be creamier. A rockstar/punk look would probably be amazing with this one, but so far I have not felt the need :)
(it sharpens well with the cheapest sharpeners from the drugstore btw, no need to buy stila's sharpener)

LOVE LOVE LOVE my kajal eyeliner. I have it in smokey quartz and i think its the perfect eyeliner for that daytime look. The color isnt too harsh but really brings out my dark eyes. What I love most about this eyeliner is that it doesnt draaaag across your waterline and eyelids...which is horrible cause the skin around your eyes is the most sensitive. Buy this! you wont regret it!

this eyeliner glides like a dream and has an amazing staying power... sounds good, right? NO NO NO
once its on, it does not budge and refuses to be smudged on upper lids. yet, it smudges in all the the wrong places - like under your eyes, on the sides, in black little patches of smudges... not a good look, unless you are going for that horror flick 'victim' look. too bad, as stila products are of high quality in general.
oh well: you win some, you loose some. this one is a looser.

Not a horrible eyeliner, requires touch ups during the day, but definitely not worth the price. When placed on my bottom waterline, half way through the day, the eyeliner starts to smudge off. Also, the eyeliner on the corners of my bottom waterline slowly wash off about 30 minutes after i put it on.

For a long time I didn't use black eyeliner I think it can look harsh on me. But this liner solved all my problems. I put it on an angled eyeliner brush and apply it that way and I can get a really thin, kind of diffused line that I think is really flattering. It's also great for the waterline when I want a more dramatic look. I've been contemplating trying a black gel e/l, but I really don't feel like I need it as this does the job.

For a few years I've been buying nothing but covergirl eyeliner because i did not want to spend a lot of money on a good eyeliner. So I finally decided that it was time to invest in a quality eyeliner. I've always heard great things about Stila so I thought this was a good choice. I was wrong. Not only did it go on way to smooth, I was constantly having to take a qtip underneath my eyes because it was always running off my eyes. I am really disappointed with this product.

I really really really tried to like this product. Kim Kardashian loves it so I thought, it has to be great, right? No. It goes on soooo smoothly which is nice, but its almost too smooth, I tried to be so careful and just slightly touch my waterline with it, its a mess. I know how to put on makeup, I've been doing it for years...in fact I've been doing the black smoky look before it was even popular - everyone always commented on my eyes before all the celebs were doing it. Anyway, worse than just the tough time of putting it on - it also smudges like crazy. Of course I put on a primer...of course I know all he tricks of the trade - still smudges. Not a fan.

I loved the how dark and creamy it was. It also went on with hardly any touch at all in just one swipe. The downfall is that this product does not set causing it smudge everywhere. After only a couple hours it was no longer on my waterline but rather was slowly racing down my face. I also found it difficult to sharpen.

This is my HG eyeliner! Im in love! this is by far the best eyeliner i've ever tryed...its so creamy and a rich true black. when I apply it, it just glides on so easily and I only need one coat and I get the darkness I like. I have Mac's feline eyeliner that everyone faves about and in my Opinion, its not one bit Comparable to stila.. I just really really like it and never have never found another eyeliner as good as my stila. This is one of those products that I would purchase over and over again

Really wanted to love this product, but like everyone said has no staying power, goes on great. but what i use it or is a smokey eye, or a base, works very well. But on the waterline goes within 10mins, so not much point. Pro's - its very creamy and easy to blend. This is an expensive item, so will rather use mac smoulder or fluidline to line my waterline.
If anyone has found the perfect black eyeliner for the waterline that stays within setting it with black eyeshadow (I mean who would do that?) please let me know!

This eyeliner smudges like no other eyeliner I've used. The texture is extremely soft and pigmented but it smudges like crazy. I tried setting this with eyeshadow but it still smudged after 20 minutes. I definitely would not repurchase.

I love how this eyeliner goes on so smoothly, and the colour is so intense. However, this product does not have great staying power! When I put it on my waterline, it'll disappear within 10 minutes if I don't set it with powder. This product is okay, but I don't think I'll be repurchasing.

I really wanted to love this eyeliner but it just didn't work for me. It goes on like a dream and its definitely the smoothest eye liner I have ever used. But no matter how hard I tried to keep it on, it always smudged on me. I'm going to stick with my UD 24/7 liner in Zero or my Stila Smudge Pot.

Its very creamy, and goes on so smooth ... but it just doesnt stay on. I have to set it with a black eyeshadow, and it will stay but thats the only downfall.

I really wanted to love this eyeliner but it just didn't work for me; I ended up returning it to Sephora after trying it out for a week. No matter what I did it smeared and smudged on me. I tried using it on its own and I tried setting it with an eyeshadow but it just wouldn't stay put on my top lashline or the bottom. I'm going to stick with my UD 24/7 liner or my newest favorite Forever Stay Eye Pencil from the Sally Hansen Natural Beauty line (which I think I'm liking better than the UD 24/7 but I'm still testing it out).

Okay, first and foremost my main complaint about pencil anything, is the horrible loss of product when you sharpen. This stuff is so expensive that I, really, go over my sharpener and my shavings (onto a clean paper towel) and put any leftovers in a clamshell container I bought from TBK Trading. At the end of one pencil I have enough for a couple more weeks with an angled eyeliner brush and it's worth it.
This stuff goes on your eyes silky smooth . If you have watery eyes, like me, you can put a primer under it and then set it with powder in the same color, or you ca use one of the gels they make that makes eyeliner waterproof. It's perfect for thin, or thick lines, including cat-eyed looks. I have been in love with this since I bought a small size in a kit and now it and UD are my liners, period.

This black is a darkest black eyeliner I have. The pencil is really creamy and doesn't tug on the eye during application. However, I found I found it to smudge horribly--even with primer. It always ends up travelling to my waterline and everywhere else. It'll definitely give you raccoon eyes by the end of the night. I reccomend UD 24/7 its similar but without all the smudging.

I got this eyeliner because it came with the Red Carpet Look Palette... I am sooo glad I bought it!!! This is the blackest-black eyeliner ever created! Other positives: if you want a smudgy smokey look this is very easy to smudge, but once it sets, for me, it stays put and doesn't come off. I fell asleep last night without taking my makeup off... when I woke up it was still perfect!! For people with oily lids, this not might work great, but it was a great buy for me.
:)
