love it layered, no stayin power just by itself though. i bought only this color and as soon as i got a chance to swatch it on my hand, i knew it wouldnt last, because it was extremely sticky and would not set. however layered with a powder eyeshadow over it and an eyeprimer like the udpp, it lasts a really long time.
my only complaint is the hugeness of the pencil, takes a special sharpener to sharpen it

I love this. I own 3 NYX Jumbo Pencils, and this is the most multi-purpose one! This works as a base for any color at all, and inner corner highlight, brow highlight, cheek bone highlight and anything you can think of! It's creamy, pigmented and goes on smoothly. I love this and recommend this to anyone! Packaging get's a 4 because I wastes a lot of product to sharpen and it's hard to find a sharpener to fit these.

this is my go-to base colour for my inner corner highlight when i wear eyeshadow. i apply it generously and apply a light shimmery eyeshadow on top to blend it out and makes the eyeshadow brighter and more vibrant. have never used it as a lid colour so my review is strictly for how i use it.

I must have oily eyelids since this did not work for me at all. It creased and faded away on me, whether I used this as a base or by itself. If you want an alternative, try MAC Pure White Chromaline.

I love putting Milk as a highlighter on my tear duct and on my brow bone. It also makes a beautiful, subtle eyeliner (when used correctly). This pencil is a must-have for brightening the eyes! I really love using French Fries as a smudgy eye liner (especially on my upper last line). My only problem with this product is that I have to sharpen it, but since I have the Nyx sharpener, it shouldn't be a problem. Also, the lid of the pencil tends to crack easily.

A must for light and bright colors, as a base to eyeshadows. I wish it didn't crease so much but maybe I'm layering it on too much. I have this in various colors and to this day, Milk is my favorite!

Absolutely LOVE this. As others have mentioned, it is great as an under-brow highlighter, and on the tear duct. But, I use it primarily to make my eyeshadow "stick" and last all day. First I prime using Too-Faced Eyeshadow Insurance, then dot the Milk Jumbo Eye Pencil over my lid, crease, and up to the brow bone. I spread the product with the tip of a finger, until I have a light layer all over, from lash line to brow. I apply whatever eyeshadow(s) I'm using over it.
By "stacking" these products my eyeshadow lasts 12 hours or so, with NO creasing or fading (and I have oily eyelids).
To resolve the problem of the cap cracking (which then results in pushing the cap too far onto the pencil, causing the tip of the pencil to jam up against the inside of the cap, and ruining the point)....here's a trick:
Take a piece of scotch tape as long as the circumference of the cap, plus an extra 1/8" or so. Line up the edge of the tape with the edge of the cap, and apply the tape strip around the cap. Try to keep the edge of the tape lined up with the edge of the cap all around, and overlap the ends of the tape strip by about 1/8". You only need one strip of tape per pencil.
That tape will help prevent the cap from cracking at the edge. If it does manage to crack anyway, the tape keeps those cracks from "opening up" when you put the cap on, so you won't be able to push the cap down so far you end up smashing the tip of the pencil on the inside of the end of the cap.

I had been purchasing NYX online, then broke my vow against going to Ulta and began purchasing there and now there is a NYX section at my local beauty supply store which is highly unusual!!! I am in love with the Milk jumbo pencil and have used it as a base as well as a bright white shadow paired with a palette full of vivid pinks, greens and blues. It's a great product, easy to apply and control, smooth gliding. There is a definite back up in my kit (on the off chance that NYX decides to end production)

I bought a back up of this too! This goes on so smooth and lasts a pretty good long time if worn with a good primer. Def an awesome product.

This is a great product to use as a primer, provided you apply it lightly. I also use it on my brow bone and even on the cheeks as a highlight.
The only think I don't like about it is the packaging. I wish the pencil was a twist, instead of needing to sharpen it. I'm thinking about depotting it into a jar.

Its a must-have when you like bright eye makeup ! It makes colorful eyeshadows so much more vibrant. Some people complain about how they're creasing, well if you use a good primer underneath and you dont apply too much, you shouldn't experience any creasing at all !

Nice basic matte white. I use this as a highlight for inner eye and inner eye corner, and it blends in easily and really naturally into my skin. You can use it sheer (like me) for the very natural brightening effect or you can keep it minimally blended for an opaque white. It is also AMAZING for helping pop bright colors. Just know that it does add white if you do that (for ex, red e/s over Milk will turn it slightly pinnkish..) Just a tiny bit, don't worry!
As for the sharpening... This product would be perfect if it came in an automatic form.. a girl can wish.

I had this in my collection for quite a while but never really used it until recently; now, I use it on a daily basis as an inner corner & brow highlight base.
it applies so creamy and pigmented and blends into the skin beautifully.

After Utla had been sold out of this color of the Nyx Pencils, I finally got one and I like it. I highlight my eyes inner corners with it and it makes me look more awake. So far I have had no problems with it. I just hope that when I go to sharpen it, that it's not too hard to do because that would suck.

I LOVE this product, I use it for 2 things, priming my lids and on my waterline when I use bright colours. I find it makes the colours brighter and open my eyes when on the waterline. I did have to depot it due to hearing it's hard to sharpen and thought it'd be easier. One downfall, it can make the shadow you put over patchy due to its texture, but it can easily be overcome by patting instead of sweeping the lid colour. I will FOR SURE be repurchasing when I run out, which will most likely be a while

This has become a staple in my makeup bag. I have many uses for NYX Jumbo eye pencils. I love using Milk as a upper lid liner, and I use it for my waterline. I use it as a primer sometimes. And as a highlighter on my tearduct, and on the outside corner occassionally.
If I have no idea what kind of look I'm going to create for the day, many times I reach for my Milk Jumbo eye pencil, and creation begins right there. Some of my favorite looks start with this pencil.
Has a creamy texture so it's soft of your lids. However, it can be somewhat sticky. It's super affordable, and you can find good deals on NYX products at Ulta, so you can score even more!
Overall, I love this pencil and honestly don't know what I did without it.
It's a staple! Love it!

I bought this pencil in Milk, which is a bright white colour. I use this pencil on the inside corners of my eyes and smudged under my brow as a highlighter. They go on really smoothly without being too soft, and blend really well. I set it with translucent powder and it does not budge at all. I am really happy with this product and they are so cheap that I am definitely going to by more. Overall I am really impressed with the NYX brand, and I cannot wait to try more of their products.

These don't quite work for me as a base unless I use UDPP underneath. Without a primer, they crease like crazy. But this one is very useful as an inner corner highlight so I'll give it an extra lippy. It is very pigmented so you don't need to use a lot of product.

I finally was able to get my hands on this a few months ago at a pharmacy near where I teach. I only have one other NYX shadow pencil (French Fries) and while I loved the colour, that thing creased like an accordian, even with primer underneath, unless I blended it out almost to nothingness and applied ANOTHER powder shadow on top, which seems to defeat the whole point of wearing such a lovely colour of shadow - I just can't wear it on its own, even with primer underneath. So I was reluctant to give this a try - I mean, it's cheap enough but I didn't want to find my eye makeup had slid all over the place 2 hours after applying it.... But, to my surprise, I quite like this as a brow highlighter and for the inner corners of my eyes which are areas where I don't need to worry about creasing. Blended well, Milk sort of vanishes, rather than remaining as a garish white streak and as it blends away, it leaves behind a nice, illuminated look. I've also used this over primer (UDPP), blended, and with powder shadows applied overtop and it does make some colours much more vibrant and, fortunately, it doesn't seem to crease.
The "packaging", such as it is, is nothing more than a clear plastic cap that cracks in no time. And these pencils need to be sharpened, rather than being "twist up" and I HATE sharpening pencils because even with a really good sharpener, you still lose a lot of product and the tips can still break off if you aren't 100% careful

First of all, this product is not a primer nor does it advertise as a primer, so you can't really say it sucks as a primer because it isn't one!
I have read both the negative and positive reviews here before buying. I figured $3.50 wasn't going to break me if it didn't work out. I ended up purchasing "milk" and "cottage cheese".
"Milk" - I've used it for the past two days - with a primer - and couldn't be more happier. For me it makes an excellent highlighter for my brow bone. I don't need to use a lot, so I'm guessing this one tube will last me a while, and I like getting a lot of bang for my buck! I can't say it will work for everyone, though. I don't have oily eyelids but I can see where this product would just end up a mess for someone who does.
***** UPDATE 8/15/12
I'm still using Milk on an almost daily basis. I am barely making a dent in the product! I hardly ever touch Cottage Cheese - I find it too shiny for daytime wear.
