I bought this shade to fill in my brows after dying my hair with Feria "Espresso." It's the perfect color and I come back to it time and time again.

I wear this color pretty much everyday. I have medium, yellow toned Asian skin and if you're someone who likes to stick to browns in eye makeup, you'll probably like this. It is definitely on the browner side, but not as straight up brown as MAC's Brun and it's definitely not chocolatey. It has more of a grayish/brown tone that gives it more smokey look. True to the name "Mystery".

Really pretty warm matte brown - good lasting power and easy to apply. I mostly use this as a liner and it stays put and looks really natural.

I got Mystery in the Chromezone quad, and at first i stayed far away from it. Then i started using it and now i use it almost EVERY SINGLE day. I wear Brule (also in the quad) on the lid and crease, and then blend Mystery into the crease and outer corner of the lid and it looks gorgeous. Only complaint is that it IS a bit hard get on evenly at first, but with a good brush and blending it looks gorgeously airbrushed on my eyes.

It is a matte dark brown. I find it a little hard to blend it evenly, though practice makes perfect! You would think this would make my green eyes pop, but it doesn't
! Not on its own...paired with shroom and teddy khol makes a nice smoky eye. That's more like it!
It certainly is NOT my favourite, but it is nice to have in my collection.

EDITED 08.04.3009: While it is a basic dark brown, it so versatle a s a base for experiments. I use it with pigments and other shimmer eyeshadows on top, as an eyliner.... it is excellent. Lately I've been using it almost daily! And, as others have mentioned, it is great as a brow liner!

A universal brown. It’s so perfect you can’t go wrong. Use for brows, lids-wherever. Or with look see for that girl next door feel.

This does look very plain in the pan but it does have many uses. Eyeliner, brow liner, brow filler, in the crease and on and on. Perhaps not the most exciting eyeshadow colour but it is a staple and it is very natural. I would definitely repurchase.

Excellent color for eye brow filler or creases! This is my staple for those specific areas. Highly recommend for someone looking for a natural fill in for brows. Although, not recommended for use alone as e/s.

Can't believe I bought a MAC e/s that I ended up returning. Only because color was too dark and warm for me. I thought it would have more of a cool tint, but a warm gray brown. Divine texture of course, this would be a yes if I had different coloring.

This is a fantastic colour. It was recommended to me at the LA pro store as a brow powder and brown shadow. I can't say enough about how much I love it as liner, shadow, and brow powder. The plum undertone gives it an edge that makes it stand out as a brown. This makes a rockin' smokey eye.

This is my all-time favorite dark-brown shadow. It's perfect as a liner with just about every other shade I have and can be sheered out in the crease or around the outer corners for a nice smoky effect. It even works as brow fill in a pinch. The hint of plum takes it a little beyond basic. I bought two: one for my 15-pan and another to take along in my purse.

Mystery is one of my favorite MAC shades and one of the few I've just about used up. I'd describe it as a dark grayed plumish brown (satin texture). Works with a wide variety of other e/s colors.

When I first saw Mystery in its pan I was scared that it would be too dark and matte to be useful for anything, but I have found a PERFECT shadow liner for creating a smokey eye. It does on quite heavy, but is easily blended to create a softer look.

I really needed to find a slightly cool toned dark brown e/s and Mystery fit that bill for me nicely. I love this paired with MAC's Satin Taupe and Stila's Puck!

This is a dark, true brown color that works great when used lightly for creases. I also love to use it as an eyeliner. It makes for a natural, yet striking look.
