The nurse/practioner suggested this cleanser when I visited my derm asking for LaRoche-Posay Dermo Cleanser. She said she liked the Kinerase cleanser better and she has rosacea. So I thought great, bought it and left w/o another thought. But the cleanser contains Sod Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium laureth sulfate which certainly accounts for the foaming action but certainly makes this cleanser less that "gentle" as the name indicates. I would not use this on my rosacea again, and there are certainly better, more gentle cleansers suitable for rosacea. I won't be taking my derm's office recs again w/o my own research first.

Did not like this cleanser. After using for approx. one month my skin has become very oily and shiney. I am also breaking out. This product is expensive and is not for me.

This is the first time I tried the Kinerase cleanser. Kinerase didn't have a cleanser back when IDF was its manufacturer, it is now owned by Valeant. The formulas of the cream and lotion are still the same, but they have added some new products, including this cleanser. I bought this cleanser as part of the 4 trial product trio in the travel pack for dry to normal skins. You get in this pack, the signature Cream, Cleanser, new C6 product, and the eye cream. It is a great way to try this stuff. I love this cleanser, it seems to wash off every trace of makeup and dirt and makes my skin feel divine after washing. I think I prefer this cleanser which is ultra gentle to Obagi's Foaming Gel Cleanser. Valeant isn't making a toner for some reason, but I'm sure they'll come up with that too. I would def. buy this cleanser again, it is gentle, makes my skin feel like baby skin without drying it, and calms my peeled, stressed skin, keeping my complexion smooth and even toned. Great stuff!
Update 10/11/08-I am still loving this cleanser. I bought my first large bottle of it and it is working beautifully. I think this possibly newer version lathers better than the original cleanser and performs just as well. I wanted to try the face mist which is a toner in the Kinerase line; they didn't have the toner when I originally reviewed this cleanser. I will keep using this product, I just love it!
Update 11/5/08-I hate to say it, but this seems to dry me out big time. Maybe they altered the original cleanser, as I had not used this in quite awhile. I don't think I will be repurchasing, as my skin becomes very red and desert dry. God, I wish this hadn't occurred. I love the idea of green tea, but this doesn't seem to be all that gentle anymore!

$29 for 6.6oz. "A pure and gentle foaming formula with green tea extract for additional skin soothing benefits. Green tea is also a great antioxidant to help repair sun damaged skin. Ideal for even the most sensitive skin types." I love it I love it I love it! I have skin that is oily and stuffy in the t-zone and still gets dry and flaky along with the breakouts. I was looking for a cleanser to use morning and night that would gently clean my skin without making it overly dry or leaving an obvious residue. This is the one! There are other cleansers I love (like Z.Bigatti) but this is less expensive and more gentle. I highly recommend since I feel that less is more when it comes to skincare. My skin is calm, smooth and clear. I purchased 2, one for the sink and one for the shower. Foams well and rinses well.
