I absolutely love this fluidline. I reach for this one all the time, but not for lining my eyes. It's too light for my dark brown Asian eyes, unfortunately. This is a beautiful reddish copper cream liner that comes in the typical Fluidline glass jar. My favorite use for this is to swipe my Japonesque Squirrel Eyeshadow across the top and use that little bit to define the outer 1/3 of my eyelid to round off and give dimension to whatever eyeshadow combo I feel it complements. Beautiful!

I went back and forth about getting this one after reading mixed reviews but decided to just go for it b/c I really liked how it looked online. Also I have light brown eyes and I thought this would complement them well and it does. I typically wear a dark brown liquid eyeliner. I really love this one b/c it's such a different shade of brown...reddish brown...it's not the usual dark boring brown I wear. Very pretty.

This is a beautiful fluidline. I love the way it makes my blue eyes POP. It is wonderful to apply, long lasting and keeps it's true color upon application.

I was kind of hesitant to use this one because i thought that a metallic looking liner might look funny. but i tried it and it doesn't. my friend really liked it (although she says she loves my makeup every day). The next day I decided to use it as an e/s base and it was freaking awesome! I put it on really lightly with my finger and blended it up really good. it didn't crease at all and it didn't really look metallic. I paired it with tempting and shroom and lined with blacktrack fluidline and it looked awesome.

I am new to makeup and I love it. I realized that I wear this almost every day (for over a year) at first I wanted dip down but now I think that this was a better choice. It glides on very smoothly (better than any other I have tried), it blends well, lasts all day, and the color really adds extra spark while still being natural.

This a pretty reddish brown color but it's blah as eyeliner on me. As base/wash, this stuff is teflon for the eyes. My shadows last from morning to night with creasing. The color doesn't interfere with any of my many eyeshadow color combinations. Even though the pot is small, I cant imagine using it up anytime soon. A little goes a long way.

I was lemming this color (and my first fluidline in general) for a long time, and I finally broke down and got it. I'm every bit as impressed as I thought I'd be with the ease of use and staying power. This particular color is perfect for blue eyes, too. I've always half-wished I could have brown eyes for a day so I could make them stand out the way so many makeup colors will do for brown eyes. With Rich Ground on, though, my blue eyes seem to smolder and stand out and actually remind me of the eyes of that famous Aghan woman on the National Geographic cover. For once, my eye color actually stands out and 'pops.'

I love me some Fluidlines. I know that MAC wasn’t exactly the first on the gel eyeliner idea, but they’ve surely perfected it. I picked up Rich Ground anticipating it would be useful for my rare more subdued days in which I didn’t want the harsh drama of intense black lines upon my eyelids – I’m Asian with extremely sparse eyelashes so black eyeliner always really stands out on me. Rich Ground is a beautiful shimmery burnished golden brown color in the pot. And it applies pretty much dead-on what it looks like in the pot. A nice medium shimmery red brown line. It actually does shimmer, unlike some of the other shimmer Fluidlines. But the color it imparts isn’t really stupendously bold – well obviously. I am finding I can’t wear this eyeliner with dramatic eyeshadows because it kind of disappears amongst darker, bolder colors. So I guess I got exactly what I was anticipating. I wear this primarily by itself or with a light shimmery wash. Don’t get me wrong, it’s way better than Brassy Fluidline, but I guess I really do prefer the distinctively eye-lined look. I probably won’t repurchase this as I don’t use it all that often, but it is a gorgeous color. The staying power of this Fluidline is incredible of course. I highly recommend this for paler girls, that’s for sure! I just feel kind of “naked” with this! But it’s great for lazy days!

Everyone before me already described the shade perfectly. It's great for those days that I want liner but not something bold like Blacktrack. But you have to be careful while choosing your shadow color to go with it,if you choose something red-based (like Mythology for ex),you'll look like you're tired or cried for hours the other night. You get the point. So I suggest you to choose more neutral, less shimmery colors to pair with this liner. All and all it's a good product,it doesn't excite me enough to make me repurchase it tho.

Beautiful color on my hazel green eyes. This is a great liner and a very nice change from your usual brown, without being "over the top," colorwise, if you need to stay fairly neutral for your workplace, which I do. I hesitated about the red factor, too, but even with my eyes slightly red from allergies, it looks great.

Too many reviewers scared me away from Rich Ground w/ comments about the red undertones of this color. I was thinking, "I cannot have any extra red around my tired, sensitive eyes!". Yet, everyone had it and loved it, so I got one in a swap. Why did I wait so long?!?! This is so much more bronze than I would have imagined (even from MAC's website!). It is so gorgeous and flattering on my hazel eyes. If you are hesitating, b/c you are nervous about the red undertones, do not worry. I have a lot of red in my skin and eyes, and Rich Ground did not worsen the situation at all. It actually brightened up the eye area, because the slight metallic finish added a little light to the area. In addition to the fabulous color, I love Fluidlines b/c they have great lasting power, do not smudge or flake, will not fade, and remove easily at the end of the day w/ most eye m/u removers. Finally, my guess is, 1 jar will last a long time. A little goes a long way with these highly pigmented gels.

I absolutely love RICH GROUND fluidline. It is the same color as the Chanel Christmas eyeshadow from 2004- has the same amazing wearability too.
I love to wear Rich Ground with red hair, auburn hair and as a shadow with many colors of hair. It makes my eyes look blue and really looks beautiful with neutral eye looks.
Here is a photo of me with Rich Ground on as an eyeshadow.

Finally, finally acquired one of these Fluidlines after much hemming and hawing (Q: Do I really need another eyeliner? A: Not at all, but screw it, I want this!) I managed to swap for this one and I love it. It comes in a small, sturdy glass pot with a screw-top lid; the opening is nicely large (unlike, say, the NARS liquid liners) and I can easily stick my finger or my brush into the jar. "Rich Ground" is a very warm, coppery-bronze color (i.e. it has a lot of red in it). The color can make me look worse if I'm tired, but it also really deepens my dark eyes and makes my skin look creamier if I'm not. This is not at all close to "Teddy", since that kohl is very brown and has only a touch of bronze, whilst this has very little brown in it.
The texture is fantastic--super-smooth and creamy; it glides on so easily, unlike the Stila Smudge Pots and Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliners, which were a bit dryish and crumbly (the Stila was worse than the BB in this regard). I use an angled liner brush to apply (my cheapo Essence of Beauty one works fine). Since the texture and pigmentation are so good, I only need to touch the brush to the surface about two times to do both eyes. (So the 15 USD price tag is not bad at all since the jar should last for quite some time.) Stays on my eyes all day without fading or smearing. Washes off okay at night (though I must admit that I have a fairly elaborate face-washing routine: milky cleanser; rinse; jojoba oil; rinse; remove oil with Burt's Bees Garden Tomato Complexion soap or Alpha Hydrox face wash; rinse thoroughly; Dr. Hauschka Clarifying Toner). I'll definitely be checking out more of these beauties :)
Off-topic, but this is my 1000th review. *Throws confetti* Thanks for reading!

I own 10 MAC fluidliners and this shade is by far my favorite. The bronzey copper color looks gorgeous with my blue eyes. I've had it for almost a year now and wear it at least once a week, and I still have more than half of the pot left which I think is amazing. The product is just as smooth and moist as when I first bought it, which is nice, as some of my other fluidliners have dried out over time. Rich ground is also more pigmented than some other fluidliners, and I only need one swipe to get the coverage I want which is a real plus for it. I wish all of the fluidliners had Rich Ground's quality.

I'd give Rich Ground a 4.5...and rounded it down. The color is beautiful, but it would suit my eyes better if it's a touch darker--closer to dipdown (except that dipdown is completely matte) with a touch less copper. I love the subtle shimmer and sheen, and the staying power is as good as every other fluidline--it's waterproof, smudgeproofs, and budge-proof. Try drawing a line on your hand, wait 30 seconds and try scrubbing it off under running water--it will stay on. (but it comes off very easily under an oil-based makeup remover, try Pond's bare and repair).

I really like this product. It's a gorgeous golden brown with slightly red undertones The staying power is impressive, as good as Bobbi Brown long-lasting gel eyeliners I would have to say. I was slightly apprehensive of the idea of switching from black eyeliner which was a staple in my make-up bag, however I think this gives good definition to the eyes. I have blue eyes and this colour compliments them, especially if you lightly bronze your skin as well. A great purchase.

OMG, i absolutely love this. This is one of my first 3 MAC products. I purchased this w/ the #263 brush, and it is the BEST looking e/l i have ever used. It goes on sooo easy, and it just looks perfect. The color is a bronzy brown with SLIGHT red undertones. I was afraid it would be TOO red, but it's perfect. I never get that line that leaves a gap between your lashline and the line. It's so great and MUCH easier than pencils. I'm never going back!

I tried this Fluidline despite the fact that the MA thought I would not like it. I am still a little undecided about the red undertones. Since I have NW20 skintone and hazel eyes I think it tends to make my eyes look a little tired. Retails for $13.50. UPDATE: No repurchase for me. I am bored with this and I've decided that I hate the red undertones.

Fluidlines are an excellent product IMO. For the quality they are very reasonably priced. Rich Ground is a beautfiul medium warm coppery brown with frost eyeliner. Beautiful with any other warm toned eye makeup colours. This shade can flatter every eye colour but it may be too reddish for some skintones. It glides on so smoothly and does not budge one bit until you take it off, even for someone like me with horribly oily lids. Would definitely repurchase.
