First thing you need to know, is that I didn't bought this powder to use as a foundation but as a setting powder.
It was great as a setting powder. It kept the shine away during almost my whole day and it didn't look blotchy when apllied in a thin layer. It gave me some extra coverage on top of my medium coverage foundation which was a great bonus.
The packaging wasn't my thing. I liked the mirror and the spunge came in handy sometimes. But mine broke quite easily into three pieces.
But when applied as a foundation on its own, I don't like this product.
It was really sheer when I apllied one thin layer. When I tried to build it up, it started giving a grey sheen to my face in daylight. It looked kind of chalky too.
I think this makes a perfect setting powder if they have your shade. But even if it's just a bit too dark, don't buy it or go a shade lighter because it tends to go a tad bit darker during the day (not noticable when you're exactly the same shade). Probably because it starts to react with the oils of my skin.
As a foundation I really wouldn't recommend this, there are better powder foundations out there.

I purchased my True Match foundation in 4N and also purchased the powder in 4N. Big mistake. The foundation was already a little tanner then my own skin tone which I didn't mind, but the powder made it darker. So I switched out the powder for 3N which looks perfect on me. You wouldn't think the powder should alter the tone of the foundation, but i guess it just made the 4N more opaque and there-by adding more pigment so it looked darker. The powder is nice, smooth finish. Doesn't look powdery. It would be nicer if the mirror wasn't were the sponge is, as that is kinda strange, but no biggie.

I've used this powder for years I range between w2 and w3 I normally switch between this and mac studio fix powder+foundation but I love this stuff I've bought it over and over. It gives medium to full coverage blends well and is buildable. I either use it on top of my concealer alone or I'll use liquid foundation and use this as a setting powered either way its awesome. Its roughly $11 lately I've gotten lucky and have found $2 off coupons so I've stocked up but it's worth every penny.

I really like this, and it provides a little bit of coverage, but I use it up so fast! I use them up in about two weeks to a month, and I can't be buying powders that often (college girl budget). There's not enough product for the price.

I can't believe the awful reviews on this product either! As a setting powder, or for spot coverage, you cannot get any better than this...unless, you know, you consider MAC studio fix or something. I've used this for YEARS and it covers up virtually ANY blemish and doesn't come off. Stays on, stays matte, covers anything. It's great for blending. I have often used it over liquid foundation/under blush and bronzer to set the foundation and provide a little bit more coverage over lighter coverage foundations. Works like a charm. My only gripe is the packaging. The stuff pretty much ALWAYS shatters after I've gotten about halfway through the powder, and it also goes very quickly.

This i by far my favorite pressed powder. I started using this in high school before my skin got really bad i needed full coverage foundation and i always end up going back to it, i do suggest putting your concealer on top after the powder has settled or else it will cake up. over all if i had perfect skin i would use this everyday but i dont so it is great for trips to the grocery store lol

I have really pale skin and any nontranslucent powder is likely to fail. This didn't just fail, it was one of the worst pressed powders I've tried. The colour match was perfect, but it gave me that caked on, dry powdery goth look. It stuck to every hair and flake of dry skin. It looked unnatural and powdery even with a setting spray. Even with light, brushed on coverage, it didn't stay evenly distributed. It settled into the corners at the side of my nose, and in the fine hairs around my eyebrows. Horrible.

I really like this foundation. I buy it in the lightest shade as it comes out darker in colour once it has been applied.
Suits my combo. skin, is not heavy or cakey looking and lasts longer than any other foundation I have tried. (And I have tried ALOT!)
Feels light and has'nt broke me out like so many other brands have. Controls shine pretty well also.
Ever since revlon discontinued their colour stay min. powder. (I don't like the new aqua one) I have tried: Loreal infailable powder, Revlon pressed powders, Natio, Covergirl, Rimmel, Australis (broke me out sooo.. bad!!) and maybeline.
None of them worked for me so I now have a make-up bag full of powders I wont use.
I have to say loreal truematch is the one for me.

I use the colour rose ivory (C1) and I love it! I find it difficult to get make up to suit my pale but very pink undertones and this matches perfectly. I find it highly blendable and only takes a minute or two to apply. It doesn't leave a fake finish. I use powder because I have oily skin that is very shiny, this makes my face nice and matt for about 5-6 hours before I touch up.
The only reason I wouldn't purchase this again was either because I found something cheaper or because I found something with even better coverage with the same colour qualities.
Edit: I have taken off a lippie because since i've started using a mattifying lotion I have noticed the powder/flour effect that others have noted. So really this powder is good for oil but the coverage is pretty light and is really only a pigmented finishing powder.

This powder is good for concealing hard-to-cover blemishes. After a dab of concealer, I tap this conealer onto the blemish and it helps to hide it and also prolong the wear of the concealer. As an all over setting powder, i find this too heavy and too pigmented, but it's perfect for covering up a troublesome spot.

For a pressed powder, I think this is pretty good. I bought it quite a while ago but never got around to using it because of my bad experiences with pressed powder. Well, when I finally got around to trying it, I applied it with a big powder brush like many here have advised, and I was pretty impressed with the results. The powder goes on smooth, even and blended perfectly. My skin feels very smooth after application and even after several hours, it looked pretty good. My only qualm about this product is that it cakes a teeny wee bit, but it could be because I have dry skin. In my opinion the results I got from this powder with a brush application is just a step down from the result I normally get from my Clarins translucent powder. The price is pretty good too.

I have oily skin and this is crap. I was greasy in just a couple of hours and it oxidizes orange. The color match was good but stay away from this if you have oily skin cause it won't do anything for you.

I was fine with the packaging. I tried using this as a finishing powder and it sucked. It caked like no other and looked like I had dipped my face in flour. Not the best look for a 24yr old who's trying to look natural.

Age: 19-24   Skin: Acne-prone, Fair-Medium, Warm   Hair: Black, Wavy, Medium   Eyes: Brown

Background:
- I have acne-prone, combination, olive-toned skin. I currently average 3 large pimples each week that leave long-lasting, very red marks.
- I use Neutrogena's 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne Treatment (2% Salicylic Acid) everyday in the morning and in the evening everyday, and
- I use Clean & Clear's PersaGel 10 (10% benzoyl peroxide) cream 3 or 4 nights each week.
- Before I applied the powder, I used, in order: the Neutrogena 2% salicylic acid, and then I moisturized with a self-made tinted moisturizer consisting of Eucerin's Everyday Protection Face Lotion SPF 30 and the L'Oreal True Match liquid foundation in W5.

While I like the True Match liquid foundation, its powder counterpart is disgusting. Previously, I had used Everyday Minerals' Intensive Formula in the Golden Medium Shade to set my foundation. I wanted to see if there was something better, and so I decided to give the True Powder a try. I picked W 5 in the powder, since the same shade in the liquid matches me perfectly. I used this product for 4 days until I just gave up. I found the coverage to be sheer.

CON: No matter how lightly I applied the powder, it just sat on my face and gave me a caked-on look. (I used a Everyday Mineral's rounded kabuki brush.) Often with combination skin, you have to let the oils on your face time to combine with your powder to give your foundation a smoother look. However, with the True Match powder, I found the opposite to be true. After 6 hours in an air conditioned environment, I did a mirror check and the powder between my eyebrows had become scaly. Thanks to my oily forehead, these powder scales were stuck on my skin--not a good look. I can only imagine what would happen if I had been outside in the heat.

CON: In terms of color, the powder was not a very good match for my olive skin. It appeared to be slightly yellow when I applied it and then oxidized to a more deeper yellow. I think this would be a good shade if you have more yellow tones in your complexion, but not so if you're like me and you have more green tones.

CON: This powder was very expensive, considering one of its main ingredients is cornstarch, and also considering how badly it performed.

PRO: While cornstarch can be an acne-causing ingredient, I didn't break me out.

PRO: The packaging is very stable. I took this in my carry-on for both departure and return flights and neither did the powder or its case become loose. I also dropped in once and the powder was still intact.

PRO: One of the great things about this line is that you have a lot of color options. Go to L'Oreal's website and you can do a little interactive quiz where they ask you questions about your coloring and then they give you color suggestions. **** You can print out a $1 off manufacturer's coupon at L'Oreal's website after you do one of their personal match quizzes. This coupon should be accepted by drugstores such as CVS, Walgreen's, RiteAid, and also retailers like Walmart. Check store coupon policies before purchase.****

my main problem with this product is that it oxidizes BIG TIME. the coverage was decent but i still had to conceal my blemishes.
when i put my makeup on in the morning, i noticed that the powder had a pink undertone which looked unnatural. but at least the concealer (which was the same brand) and powder matched.
but by midday, due to oxidization, the powder and concealer changed colors. so i looked like an oompa-loompa with splotches on my face!

it didnt break me out though, which is the only reason it gets a very generous 2 lippies, instead of 1.

I'm a red head with pale, combo, acne-prone skin.
I use Soft Ivory N1
-
PROS
It's makes for an excellent finish with my liquid foundation
It helps cover my red skin
It doesn't turn orange
It doesn't break me out
It feels light
It's lasted me longer than a year
-
MIDDLE
Not a perfect match; little too light, but better than too dark
A little cakey at first until I blend it with my hands
It's great at fighting oiliness, but have to reapply half way through the day
-
CONS
The clear plastic piece fell out immediately; always have to put back in
I never need or use the mirror or sponge (I use a brush)
