it's a little harsh on my sensitive skin. i have to allow time for the redness it causes to calm down. but once it does, my skin looks nice and even :)

I love this moisturizer. It absorbs right away, and makes my skin feel soft and smooth. It doesn't break me out at all, and I break out rather easily. The smell is strong, but it doesn't bother me. It's not badly priced (usually between $15 and $18). If you have super-dry skin, this is not for you - it's not a heavy moisturizer - it has kind of a gel texture. If this came in more hygienic packaging (a pump or something) I would die happy.

I found this product on sale at my local Walgreen's for around $2, and since I didn't have a good moisturizer at the time, I decided to buy it. I'm so happy I did! The smell is very pleasant, and it leaves my face and neck feeling smooth. I really believe that it has helped to cut down the oils my skin produces (I have pretty oily skin), and it has also evened out my skin tone, which was much needed. Despite the price and my stingy nature, I would definitely buy this product again.

This has got to be best moisturizer ever!! I love the smell =) Some say it's too strong, but I think it's ok and it has a sort of fruity scent which I love. I have oily skin and this moisturizer doesn't leave my face OVERLY greasy like some other one's i've tried.
I use this moisturizer day & night after washing my face with Alba's pineapple enzyme facial cleanser. Perfect pair!

So sorry, Alba, I love your hand creams, but this oil-free face moisturizer is so ultra-fragranced (and NOT in a good way) that I can't even use it to find out whether it works well. Every time I put this on, I feel nauseated from the smell. Plus, I hate moisturizers where you basically have to contaminate the whole container by dipping your finger (or anything, really) into the product. Nasty--it really negates the awesomeness of the paraben-free product. Sure, germs are natural, but they're not going to help my acne prone skin stop breaking out!

I really love this as a night moisturizer. My face is acne prone AND oily and this works great as a night moisturizer as well as fading my scars and improving my overall skin texture. It doesn't break me out whatsoever but the only thing i have to say about it is use it at night because it does get oily during the day. i use olay's combination/oily moisturizer during the day and the combo has been fantastic!

My usual moisturizer is really expensive so I was looking for an alternative. My acne-prone skin doesn't like a lot of acids, so vitamin C and other antioxidants are out. This was oil free and $12 at my local drugstore. I like the consistency, the smell and the price, but it made me break out. Worth trying if you're not acne-prone.

The fragrance was too strong, both for my eyes (it made them water) and my skin (totally irritating). Plus, it broke me out pretty badly.

I actually barely started getting into using a daily moisturizers and this is one of the first one I've tried. But so far I would have to say that it works for me.
Pros: It doesn't make me break out, I actually like the smell, and it leaves my face feeling great.
Cons: The texture isn't really like a lotion...its a lot thinner and almost more "watery"...I don't know if that makes any sense but yea.
But overall...I like this product and would probably buy it again.

My sisters and I have been using this moisturizer for over 4 years now and we think it's great. I personally like how it sinks in to my skin pronto and feels smooth and light. I am acne prone but I think its hormonal not topical so this doesn't make me break out. The smell is soft, not very memorable-- I use it everyday and can barely recollect how it smells exactly lol. Anyways, we've gone through like 20 containers and now we want something with SPF....

One problem is that this moisturizer is very strongly scented. It's not unpleasant but it's strong. Another, it doesn't provide enough moisture to my skin.

My good friend who's a professional esthetician had a "heart to heart" with me about organic facial products; I tried this based on her recommendation and the reasonable price.
This is pretty good stuff especially for the cost. Furthermore it doesn't have a bunch of crap in it. Although whitish in color I find it closer to a "gel" like consistency as opposed to "lotion". It's very light, wears well under make up and absorbs fairly fast. I highly recommend this for someone who A). is just becoming accustomed to wearing a daily moisturizer under their makeup and B). for anyone with acne prone skin. It does make my skin soft and actually helps to somewhat even out my skin tone.
However I think I might need something a bit heavier depending on the foundation I'm wearing. I'm going to use the rest of this jar but I might consider switching to an Alba product a bit heavier. My skin is somewhat combo/dry so I believe I need something a bit more hydrating. I've recently ordered the Alba Sea Renewal Cream for nighttime which is supposed to be heavy, so I'm hoping that my using a heavier night cream will take care of my daytime hydration concerns. Final opinion: I like this product a lot and highly recommend, but I think I need something more hydrating for the day. I'll update review once I receive the Alba Sea Renewal Cream. FYI- try picking this up from Ulta. Should you not like this product they'll gladly let you return it/exchange if you have the receipt.

I am finally reaching the end of this jar of moisterizer, and once it's done, I will not buy it again (I hate throwing suff away until I finish it). So, basically it didn't make me break out or anything, but it just doesn't feel like it moisterizes. I put it on after washing my face, and as soon as it dries, my face feels tight, like when you don't put on any moisterizer at all. I guess what I look for in a moisterizer is for it to leave my face feeling hydrated, but not greasy. This stuff has a sticky aspect to it, and once dry does not feel like it hydrated my skin.

this is the best moisturizer ever! Let me tell you! I have switched over to different moisturizers in the past and they always seem to either break me out, or are not moisturizing enough! this stuff is the best! I have been using for the past 6 years and it NEVER breaks me out! EVER! It also works well with other products too. I have used it in conjunction with the Serious Skin Care line. I really really love this product and i will encourage anyone with sensitive, acne-prone skin to use it. You will not be disappointed.

Not bad, not great. Smells pretty strong, not a bad smell but I just don't like heavily scented products on my face. It is bit sticky before it sinks in. It didn't improve my skin but it didn't make it worse. It moisturized fine, actually quite well when applied on damp skin. I guess I was lured by the green tea aspect since other products with tea or caffeine that I've used have improved the appearance of my skin. I've almost finished the jar and I will finish it, but I won't buy it again.

I bought this hoping it would be a good substitute for my H20 Face Oasis Hydrating Treatment, which is great but pricey. It wasn't. It's heavier than Face Oasis, so I used it in the wintertime when my skin is drier. It feels cool & soothing on the skin & moisturizes well, but it made me feel greasy by midday & caused me to break out. Plus it's got a really strong floral fragrance, which I didn't like. I would not repurchase.

I'm on my second week of using this day and night and my skin is in the best condition it has been in months (with the help of Decleor balms and oils before starting to use this). I add two drops of jojoba oil in it at night and I wake up with soft, smooth skin. I had a case of heat rash, cystic pimples on my chin, flakies, and irritation from using Garnier moisturizer (minus the heat rash) and Burt's Bee's Garden Tomato Toner, and with the combination of this moisturizer and jojoba oil, my face noticingly healed everyday that went by. Makeup goes on really nice with this too. My foundation and powder go on looking so smooth and nice! I'm quite amazed. I just wash my hands before using this so the tub doesn't really bother me.

Sigh. I wanted to love this product, I really did. The smell was pretty nice, and I've liked the other products I've bought by Alba, and this one was OK at first.
Then I started to break out.
I thought it was a coincidence, because the breakout occured around my "time of the month".
I'm now pretty sure it was the moisturizer. I'm not just talking little whiteheads, either, I'm talking deep, painful pimples and I normally do NOT get those.
It helped control my oil at first, but then about three weeks into using it, it just seemed to leave my face with a glaze on it.
Also, the jar packaging? Really? So unsanitary and primitive. Ugh. Would not recommend, will not buy again, kind of upset that I wasted so much money on this.

Since it's summer, I think it's a good night moisturizer for super oily skin people like mine. It's too heavy for daily moisturizer, even though it is oily-free, it's still kinda heavy in a way. The pineapple smell is fabulous and the consistency is not too thin. It is good enough to make my skin felt soft and supple in the morning, I used acne medications after applying this creme, but my skin has never had dry patches, so I think this moisturizer definitely helps. $14 is not too bad, since it would take you at least 4 months to finish a creme. I gave some to my friend, who has dry and sensitive skin, and she really likes it! I think some people breaking out because they are sensitive to pineapple? it has acid so it can be strong too. Basically, a decent cream, would not buy it again though, because I like to switch products, haha.

I'm so heart broken. I used this fabulous moisturizer a few years ago and just had gorgeous skin! But I've now been using it for a week and every morning when I wake up I seem to have more and more whiteheads/clogged pores. BUMMER! I used to love this stuff. Reading past reviews it seems many others have experienced breakouts as well. I still love Alba's body products, though!
