I'm not a makeup wearer but when I do this is what I gravitate towards. I have very sensitive skin and can't use many foundations and this one is perfect! It's very light, when you put it on it just looks like your own skin. It makes your skin look matte and not shiny, like it says and stays on pretty much all day. It leaves your skin really soft :-) The application is easy, I just use a spongy. Overall this is a really good foundation and the only one I will use and the price is good, this stuff lasts a while :-)) I would definitely recommend!

My ex boyfriend introduced this product to me during the summer entering senior year. In high school my skin was pretty flawless, occasional pimples but my skin now is horrible. I always used powders which always dry my skin. This product works pretty well on me. My skin is medium-fair and I use classic ivory (4) and it tends to make me look a bit orange, especially in picture, I use disposable sponges to blend and clean fingers to apply. I try not to use to much. If you cake it on it looks fake and will make your skin especially greasy at the end of the day and for my acne prone skin it leaves it with new acne emerging. Overall decent, I've used about 6 containers since I first started using it. I also like to use the Covergirl skin perfection foundation just to blend it all in for a more natural look.

I used to wear this foundation back in high school then I moved on to other foundations and forgot all about it. I was trying to figure out why I stopped wearing it in the first place. So when it was on sale a few weeks ago at Shoppers I decided to pick it up. Bad idea. This foundation makes my skin look so oily after only wearing it for a few hours. Applying powder afterwards just makes it worse.

This is great to finish off makes you look flawless!!<3
Only thing is it can sometimes make you cakey on its own and go dry over your spots!!

this is my everyday foundation. my color is dark 3 Cocoa. I apply this with my elf powder brush. I dip the brush into the foundation then buff into my skin. the coverage is medium but its buildable. As long as I wear my MOM primer underneath it keeps my oily skin matte. It does make me look a bit orange in pictures. strange but I still like this foundation.

I have to say that I did have a hard time finding the perfect shade for my skin. In any other foundation I usually fit into the 'creamy, natural' range, however the matte mousse shades are all too yellowy for my skin tone. I did settle with the classic ivory shade which is more pinkish in tone, so I suggest getting one shade lighter than your natural skin colour.
The packaging is nice and the jar makes it easy to apply how ever much you want. As for the mousse, it's light and fluffy and really feels like silk when you blend it into your skin. I did feel though that the mousse was a little greasy... but ironically it doesn't seem to cover up any dryness I have. Haha. The only method I've found to be the most effective in applying this is with your fingers as the warmth created makes the mousse blend effortlessly! You really don't need a lot, however this foundation isn't really high coverage (more for an everyday finish), so that's something else to consider if you have acne or blemishes that you want to cover up completely.

I love this foundation! It gives great coverage and a little goes a long way. I've been using this for about a year now, and I honestly think I'll stick with this for a long time. I wear lotion underneath it (St. Ives Timeless Skin) and it looks really natural. This stays on all day and covers all of my blemishes pretty well. This won't break you out, but it won't help to prevent acne either! Great product!

I have been using this product for a couple of years, and it is my favorite foundation. I love the fact that it is a mousse, and I think applying it is very easy. I get some product onto my hand, and put it all over my face. That's it, and I love it! Even though the price is a little high for my tastes, I will continue to repurchase it. I am not the type of person who wears foundation everyday, but when I do, this is the one I use. In my opinion, they have a great assortment of shades for all skin tones. I love the glass packaging, as well. This foundation seems to last me a long time, as well, so I don't think the price is too big of a problem.

My biggest complaint about this product was that it was difficult to apply. Because the mousse is so clumpy, it was hard to control how much I was taking out of the jar, and it did not spread or blend very well. If I was able to apply it sucessfully, it looked OK. But it started to appear cakey as the day wore on, was difficult to take off at night, and gave me blackheads, which is very rare for me to get from a foundation.

From a distance my skin looks flawless. Up close I look cakey and every bit of dry skin is made a million times more visible. Since its winter my skin is bit dry. I also believe this product is making me break out. I really want to like it but everything is working against it.

This was one of the very first foundations I tried. When you first take it out it's a bit intimidating with the texture but once you put it on and start blending (I found using my fingers and warming up the product was most effective) it goes on so smoothly. It's really nice and feels so silky and soft. It really gives you a flawless airbrush feel. It also goes under the eyes without creasing really really well; that's one of my favorite pros of this product. However, from my experience this is a light to medium coverage foundation and it's not very buildable. Also, I don't recommend this if you have dry skin especially if it's winter! This foundation is matte so it is a bit drying and any chapped or peeling or dry skin will just be amplified. Overall, this isn't a bad foundation to try if you have combination skin and you don't need much coverage but just want a more flawless finish face. As far as lasting power goes, it holds fairly well throughout the day but I would use a smoothing primer and a setting powder with it.

I first bought this maybe 3-4 years ago when I was in high school in shade classic ivory light 2, I was indifferent at first, it was light and fluffy with sheer coverage. Over time it loses it's texture but I still lived to use it for concealing under my eyes because I find this gives the most natural appearance. I'm finally out of my tub so I purchased the exact same shade but when I opened it it's SO dark and yellow!
I'm shocked at how different the color is from my original shade. I'm not sure how or why this is, but if I could get the same shade twice I'd repurchase... :/

Not the worse foundation I have tried. It does give a nice finish, does not last very long few hours tops (definitely needs a primer underneath). I have very fair skin and even in the lightest shade it tended to go a pinkish orangey color. Would be a better product with more fair shades and longer wear time.

This product gave me good coverage with my freckles and impurities on my face, but it gave me lots of spots on my cheeks, I have never had spots on my cheek, but after using this product for a week, I found that I had quite a lot. I have dry/normal skin and I'm not an expert on skin, but this product was not right for my type of skin, so if you have skin like mine then i would advise not to use it that often otherwise you could get more spots like me. I have now stopped using this product and my skin has become a little clearer again.

I don't know why I bought this product. I've always used liquid foundations. When at school, everyone seemed to use this. I thought I'd give it a try to see what the fuss was about. I learned it was about nothing. It's cakey, I think it even looks cakey in the container. It feels really heavy on the skin and doesn't last long at all. I used to use the dream satin liquid foundation all the time, and although I don't find it to be amazing it's far better than this!

You don't even deserve one star. Pssshh.

I have used this foundation for about a year now. It sounds awful, but I use it over my liquid foundation sometimes (I don't tend to use it on it's own that much) for extra coverage and for a matte finish that doesn't look really powdery.
A great thing about this regarding the packaging is that you really can use every last bit as its in a glass pot, unlike with liquid foundation with pump dispensers and glass tubes where you always get some left that you won't be able to use.
I don't find this particularly long lasting, however it doesn't claim to be. It does transfer quite easily.
I have quite normal skin so tend to get quite a nice finish with this. I can see how people find it quite cakey though. And as this is a mattifying mousse, it can be a bit drying and is by no means a moisturising foundation.
I do like that because its not a liquid foundation, you don't have to wait for it to 'dry' and you can carry on applying blusher etc on top straight away. Always good to save time!
I wouldn't recommend this if you have particularly dry skin, however of you're after a smooth matte finish, this is great.

When I saw this product I was very exited to buy it !!!!!!!!
A nice smooth Mousse foundation that promises full coverage I had to try it !!!
CONS
. Cakes up
. Settles into fine lines
. No coverage
. If u have acne or pimples it highlights the problem
. Looks terrible underneath the eyes as it settles into the fine lines and creases up
. Only lasts 4 hours with primer and powder
PROS
. Cute little glass bottle
-_- that's it !
I really wanted this foundation to work I tried applying it with different brushes and nothing worked ! I thought it looked really good on my skin at first like AMAZING but then 10 minutes later it oxidised and just looked terrible and started doing all the things that I mentioned above
And if u have dry skin this would definitely settle into your skin terribly !!
And if u have oily skin then in would fade of in patches like it did with my sister
Never buying this again !!
Waste of $22

When i saw this maybelline dream matte mousse i had to try it!
Promising a full coverage matte look it seemed worth a try for my acne prone skin. so i gave it a go, It didn't sit on my skin right if you know the feeling, it was cakey and actually quite drying :/ which was unusual for me! the coverage was good but the color selection is awful, i find that once it dries it goes a bit darker in color! not impressed! Overall not the right foundation for my combination acne skin :/
