The worst hairspray experience for me. I was looking to try a new spray and tried this after reading all the raves here. To me, the smell was horrible. I had to wash my hair to get the smell out. It was very heavy and lingered. The spray just laid on my hair- did nothing for me at all. At 15 and change I returned it the next day.

This is the best hairspray I have ever tried. I have used it for many years. A little goes a long way. The smell also goes away really fast, unlike other hairsprays. It is a little on the pricey side, but like all salon products, you don't need a lot. I will keep buying this until they stop making it (which I hope is never).

My HG- I love, love, love this- I refuse to use any other harispray- I do think this is expensive, but Ulta has it on sale periodically, and they have the cans with 33% free- I have very fine hair and this holds great and controls fly aways but never ever weighs my hair down or makes is feel tacky, just excellent hold that lasts all day- I also love the smell

I have been using this for several months. Today after being out in 20 to 30 mph wind here in Chicago, I felt I had to write a review. My hair still looked normal! It does not leave your hair crunchy or stiff. It holds in all conditions except high humidity. It is also great for taming the little flyaways or halos. Spray a very small amount onto your palm and smooth them down. The only drawback is the scent, but it fades quickly. Overall a great hairspray and the only one I will use.

This is the best hairspray that I've found so far, so that's why it gets 5 lippies. It holds a style without the stickyness, I can easily comb through my hair afterward without getting tangles. Doesn't leave my roots greasy either. It's the best! It even smells pretty decent too.

Just wanted to write this for those ho need hair to stay for weddings and proms. This is excellent finishing spray. It will set the style after all finished dont try to comb thru afterwards. Had the same packaging forever they need a new look!

I was very disappointed in this product. After all the rave reviews it got, I absolutely expected it to be able to stand up to the high humidity here. It didn't. It dried out my hair even more than it already is and within minutes of being outside in the humidity, my hair was a big old mess of frizz. Needless to say, I will not be repurchasing. The search continues...

LOVE this hairspray!! I was really doubting that anything would help with humidity, but this definitely did. It's not sticky at all and it doesn't make your hair rock hard when you put it on. My hair was so soft! This is definitely my favorite that I've tried.

I must say without a doubt that this is the best hairspray that I have ever used. I have used it for 15 years and I will never stop using it. I have never been pleased with any hair care product like I have with this one. Holds well, but is not stiff or sticky. This is my HG!

One of the best hairsprays I've ever used, excellent hold on my fine hair. One note of warning: when I worked at a hair salon, more than few customers would return this because the spray nozzle got clogged (trying to dig it out with a pin didn't help, either).

i used to wear hairspray as a thickening agent for my hair, and this worked great. i just turned my head upside down and sprayed, then brushed. it does make my hair a little dry, but the thickness makes up for it. :)

I agree with everyone else - absolutely the best hairspray. I have been using it for the past 10 years and could never imagine using something different. I have tried so, so many different hairsprays in the past and this is the very best. Nice hold, very easy to comb out, not sticky at all. I have very fine hair and this has never let me down. I read somewhere that Shaper Plus is the best selling hairspray in the world. That shocked me when I first read it but it but I can certainly believe it.

I have used this hairpray on and off for the last 15 years. It has fantastic hold. I have thin, pin-straight hair, and this product will keep my style all day. It's not too sticky, and a little goes a long way. My only gripe is the smell. It has always been a smell that just doesn't appeal to me, and has been the reason why I have stopped using this in the past. But I always come back to it. UPDATE-3 MONTHS LATER: OK, the smell has gotten to me again. I have to put this in retirement for a while until I can clear my nose.

I used this eons ago, but have been pretty devoted to a different brand of hairspray for the past few years. I used some Sebastian Shaper Plus over my mother's house today and I couldn't believe how much better this stuff is than my old stand by. It offers non-sticky, non-drying hold and control... and I really enjoy the scent. I'll update this review during the summer months when humidity really kicks in.

Shaper and Shaper Plus hair spray is the only beauty product I've been loyal to for over 10 years. This stuff has gotten me through my many hair phases... the teased hair of the late 80's/early 90's, blown straight hair during the rest of the 90's, and for the last few years.. sorted variations of short choppy do's. There is NO OTHER hair spray like Shaper.. believe me, I've tried many, but always come back. This stuff holds, shapes, washes out, and is easy on your hair. Does what no other spray can do - it holds your hair and still lets your honey run his fingers through it without losing a digit! Smells like nothing as far as I'm concerned, so if you had an aversion to the scent, maybe just give it a little time. Over the past 10+ years, I've never had any comment on the smell in my hair, because this spray doesn't leave a lasting smell.

If you want great "flexible natural" hold in your hair, but you don't want any traces of stiffness, flakes, or weight - This hairspray is awesome! It's an ultra fine mist hairspray that holds my hair in the most natural way possible. My hair still bounces and moves around, but it stays how I want it. It doesn't dry my hair out or build up really bad. I always reach for this hairspray to finish off my flatironed hair. It keeps it smooth, sleek, and silky. This gives very good flexible hold and will not make your hair feel hard at all. It's good stuff! If you need or like a heavy ultra firm hairspray that hardens - This isn't the hairspray for you. UPDATE: Love this for natural straight looks or pulled back ponytails, doesn't it hold a curl for nothing on me.

Shaper Plus is one of the best hair spray I've ever used, and I've been using it almost daily for the last 2 or 3 years. It has one of the strongest hold, without being sticky or leaving the hair outrageously dry (doesn't make my hair too crunchy). It doesn't take too much product to hold my hair.

It works pretty well, but I still wish to find THE perfect hair spray: when the weather is humid it won't hold that much my curly hair, and this spray is a bit intoxicating... Otherwise it would be perfect.

One of the best hairspray for baby fine hair such as mine!
As mentioned in other posts, it is easy to comb through and the smell is not overpowering.One of my favourite with Nexxus Maxximum in aerosol.
