About a month ago, I went to the Kiehls store in downtown NYC to pick up the Blue Toner. As a sample, I was given the Blue Cleanser. And the cleanser just blew me away.

It is a watery gel that foams up, although not extravagently as other cleansers. It has a cool tingle (not a stinging Noxema tingle), and it removes make-up decently (if you wear heavy make-up, you may need something else before). But the best part is, it leaves my skin exceptionally smooth, smoother than your average toner. I believe it has some BHA acid in it, and it really helps my skin stay soft and acne-free. Since I started using it, I haven't had a major breakout. Amazing, considering how badly my chin was breaking out just a month ago.

I really like this cleanser. I bought it after having a good experience with the Blue Herbal Toner. It feels good on my face, and I like the tingly/minty feel. I like that I only need a small amount to wash my face. When I first bought this, I was using in at night only and using a scrub in the morning. I had some breakouts, so I am now using the Kiehl's twice a day. My skin looks even better. It's not overly drying nor does it leave my skin oily. I would have given the Cleanser 5 lippies, but the price takes away (a bit) from the overall value. I love the stuff and would buy it again. It makes me want to try other Keihl's products.

This wash made me break out terribly when used with the corresponding astringent and other Kiehls products. I paid $85 for various Kiehl products and it just made my skin worse. A total waste of money. I recommend ANYTHING ELSE.

This cleanser smells like cough medicine but it works wonders. It has a tingly sensation and you can feel it working. It cleans my skin so well that I really don't need to follow up with an astringent or toner. I can apply my moisturizer/night time treatment directly after. My face broke out after trying a new moisturizer and this cleanser helped to get rid of the pimples. It is expensive (20 dollars for the large bottle), but it works better than any other BHA cleanser that I've had in the past. I highly recommend it. Update: I had to return it, because it was too drying for my Retin-A treated face.

I got this as a sample, and I must say that I am rather pleased with it. It lathers nicely and rinses off clean, but doesn't make my skin feel tight. It's also quite minty and tingly on the skin, which is good for mornings so that it wakes you up. It's got a funny smell though. Like insecticide. But I think it's helped me clear up my breakout of tiny pimples along my forehead.

I have been using the entire blue herbal line for about 5 months. My skin looks great. Pretty much undercontrol except when female problems arise then they go away. other than that, this is a great line. Haven't bothered to think of changing...

Nice light foaming cleanser with salicylic acid, feels refreshing, rinses clean. A bit overpriced, though.

I have been using this product along w/ the blue herbal toner for about a week and am very happy. I have oily and acne prone skin. It is a thin gel w/ a slight medicinal feel. It does a good job cleaning my skin. I will def. repurchase.

Great product for oily/combo, cleans well and keeps acne at bay without stripping or overdrying. I've been using it for 2 months and still have more than 3/4 of the bottle left, I'd say its a good buy. Also using the blue herbal astringent and moisturizer which are both great, might try the spot treatment once I run out of the DDF i'm using now.

Just got this today. I used it and i didn't really notice a bad smell or anything. It tingled slightly on my skin but I definitly felt clean afterward. I don't have anything bad to say about this product. I'm waiting for the Blue Herbal Spot Treatment to arrive to see how that works out. I'll keep you all updated.

Too bad... I like when I put it on - so refreshing. But my face was so oily afterward. I think it's too dry for me. Sad...

I really do enjoy this cleanser. It has a very thin consistency but if definitely effective. When I lather my face with this, it actually tingles, but just a little. It feels great to me but I thought that this great feeling would only be in the shower and that when I got out, it would be dried out. I wazs WRONG! My face felt smooth and very clean. I took away a lippie however because I thought it smelt A LOT like Robitesin medicine (which I absolutley HATED as a child, and now) and I didn't notice a dramatic change in how many zits I got yet. I am still waiting to see however. I will update later about its overall effectiveness for acne.::EDIT:: Robitesin smell is no longer a problem. Maybe I got used to it but either way I still love this cleanser. Cleans and doesnt strip my skin. AWESOME!

I've been using this on my combination, acne-prone skin for two weeks and I love it! I definitely see an improvement in the tone and texture of my skin, and it feels so refreshing. My skin feels clean, but not stripped and dry. I don't know if it would be too drying in winter, but right now (summer), it's perfect. I follow it with the Blue Herbal Moisturizer, which I use as a treatment cream, and then I use the Sodium PCA oil-free moisturizer to moisturize. Maybe I could switch to a different moisturizer in the winter to keep this cleanser from drying out my skin, but so far, this regimen is working very well for me.

Outstanding cleanser for oily skin! I have an issue with it this summer...my skin is completely out of whack! I was a bit afraid of this cleanser at first, as oily skin products usually work, but make my face tight and uncomfortable. Not this! A refreshing cleanser that left my face feeling clean, but not tight. I am following with my dermatologist's treatment and the new Blue Herbal Moisturizer..which I also love.
