This cleanser doesn't really wake me up, although at time when I can squish the beads on my face (and I mean SQUISH), then it would probably burst open and make my skin feel a little tingly. This doesn't really help my pimples at all, but it does really clean my skin really nicely. The smell is okay, but I get sick of smelling it after a while, and this cleanser in my opinion can remove my foundation and everything decently. I probably won't be buying this again because I need something to manage my acne prone skin, as well as my existing pimples.

a lot of the review for this say that it dries your skin... i agree that it does but i use the clean and clear morning glow moisturizer and that helps a lot. i got it at walmart for 4.47 and the moisturizer cost a little bit more but its worth it :)

LOVE this stuff. I am NOT a morning person by any means. I DRAG. This wakes me up just as much as a cup of coffee does, which says a lot. The scent is great, makes my skin feel clean and not drying at all. I'm not noticing any help with blackheads or anything, though.
The scent isn't overpowering at all. I HATE citrus scents with a passion and this was actually refreshing. I also like the tingling (no matter whether it's menthol or whatever) that wakes up my skin as well. Foams up nicely, didn't feel drying at all. My new HG cleanser :)

I've been using this product for a little over a year now. It doesn't help with pimples or anything, because I still have a couple zits at any given time, but it really does clean well.
What I do is use this in the shower, then exfoliate with a sugar scrub (still in the shower), and immediately after stepping out of the shower, I pat my face with a towel and put on my moisturizer. This gives me really clean, soft skin.

This product feels amazing when you use it, very fresh! Unfortunately it has a slight drying factor that I don't love so much. It does feel nice and definitely washes off makeup and dirt, even at night.
Your face feels very clean after you use it and it has a nice feeling, so if you want to clean your face and enjoy how it feels (it doesn't sting at all but feels cool and fresh on your face), you may want to get this.
I would buy this again, but I don't think I am going to. I have other cleansers that are just as good, so I won't miss this very much once it's gone.
EDIT: This is an amazing morning cleanser! It does actually help take away impurities, which helps reduce chance of breakouts. It's a very nice cleanser and I recommend it to anyone who was thinking about getting it.

I used this product a few years ago and wanted to like it sooo badly but there was just no way.
It smells very nice and looks pretty but irritated the hell out of my skin to the point of pain.
I used it maybe three times and every. single. time it made my face bright red with pain.
I'm lucky it never made me breakout.

This product didn't work for me, not only did it make me break out, my skin was dry and flaky around my nose area. I used this product 2 or 3 times and I started getting pimples around my mouth. I stopped using it and after my pimples cleared I tried using it again, once again my face broke out. I guess I'm allergic to some kind of ingredient in this, I'm not sure. The cleanser does cleanse my face but it doesn't do much of anything else, This product is rather useless and I know much better cleansers that just cleanse but does a better job of that.
The bottle has been used 3-4 times and now it's just sitting there, purchased for 8.99 I won't be buying this again.

I first bought this because of my very oily skin with a lot of acne. I would use this product first in my facial wash routine at morning and at night. At first, for the first 3 or 4 days, it started to work really well. But, after using it for a week, it dried my complete face up. It was totally fried and peeling off like i got a massive sunburn. I had to moisturize it for days until it went away, and it was an itchy and burning feeling. The only reason i decided to buy it was because it was dirt cheap at a local store, only about $2.00. But i learned to not just buy it because of the price, but read reviews first. For my skin type that is very fare and oily, it didn't work. But even though my skin is oily, it dries up really fast. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone with the same type of skin as me.

This soap made me feel so clean, it feels like all the disgusting dirt under my face is being washed away and it's great! But I don't know if it works or not, since I've been using a special acid spray for acne, so I'm not sure which one works...

I liked this cleanser because of the smell and the minty feeling on your face. It really didn't do anything to my face but i like it in general.
I would just recommend people who are allergic to anything with fragrance to stay away from this.

i have been using this product for about two years. it has since been one of my main stream facial care products. the bursting beads DO help to wake you up, at least, they do for me & i'm always tired in the morning. it has a great, bright scent. i have combination-oily skin & it does feel a bit oily after i wash it in the shower, but i follow through with a second facial cleanser, so you may want to back it up with another cleanser. but overall, i love this product. it helps your face feel fresh & does cleanse out some impurities.

I have repurchased I'm not amazed by this product mostly just satisfied. It does EXACTLY what it says nothing more nothing less. It removes makeup fairly well when I am lazy and, leaves the skin clean and soft. The exfoliating beads don't do anything at all. I have dry skin and I'm not sure if this dries out my skin as I moisturize right after washing my face. I like the smell and it leaves my face feeling cool, smooth, and soft.

I've never had so many issues with a drug store face cleanser like I have with Clean & Clear! They just overdo it on the alcohol -- so much that I'm left with dry patches on my face, which I've NEVER ever had issues with before. You'd never think it though because it smells and feels pretty damn good when you're slathering the stuff on your face -- though, I have to agree with a prior post, it does have that Dial hand soap feel to it. The beads don't really do much, I assume it's just for looks. Rather inexpensive compared to the other brands out there, but now I understand why.

I bought this b/c my local CVS didn't have my normal Clean & Clear cleanser in stock. Love the smell but it is super drying! My skin type is Normal but I felt so dry after using this. I want to really like it but maybe it would be better to use during the summer months.

I really love this cleanser. I only use it as a morning cleanser because I have something a little better I use at night that cleans better and removes my makeup-but as a light morning cleanser that doesn't dry my skin out this is perfect. I love the scent too, its a mix of citrus and lemon. It leaves my skin refreshed and clean and doesn't dry it out which is a plus. And you can beat the price. You only need a small amount ( i use the size of a dime) so this stuff will last a long time too. Really recommend this cleanser. :)

I don't remember how much this cost but I think it was around six bucks? I don't know, but it wasn't really pricey.
It really does live up to its name, and you don't see that often with products. I didn't expect it to do what it said. I just got it because it was on sale and I needed a cleanser instead of using bar soap as my cleanser ( I know pretty bad) but hey that's poverty!
It really does freshen up my skin, awakens it, cleans it, and doesn't break me out since I have sensitive acne prone skin. I noticed using my acne wash as a daily routine only made my acne worse so I don't use it every day but every other day and I use this as my daily face wash just to keep my skin clean.
My skin has really improved but that can factor into to other stuff that I've been doing different. I'm just glad this face wash doesn't irritate my skin into breakout hell, cause I recently tried out other reg face washes that did do that..
I also LOVE love the pump! Unlike other face washes where you have to squeeze out the stuff, this has a PUMP so convenient. Smells great too.

I personally love this product! I needed a nice cleanser i could use in the morning just to refresh my skin before i put on my makeup. First of all it smells great, it actually says what it does and the smell wakes me up. I wouldn't necessarily say it does wonders for my skin or gets rid of acne, but its great for people who are looking for a good basic cleanser to use in the morning.
