Got this in a swap, and wow did I strike gold! I'm a PPP with both pink and yellow tones and it goes on as a Black Honey color, as another reviewer said, but when I blend with fingers it subdues to a lovely natural-looking flush. Since I first opened it, I've worn it every day. I'm a little weirded out by the raspberry smell--it's a perfectly nice scent, but I don't look for scent in my cheek products--but it pretty much fades after application so no worries. (I have one teeny concern which is that my cheeks have broken out some since starting the product--but I'm also traveling in Germany and I think it's likely as not the hard water, dry air, and general travel stress. But if it continues and I have to chalk it up to the Tarte, I will weep bitter tears and then update this review.)

I have four Tarte blushes, and I'm pretty sure this one is my favorite. I'm olive-skinned and it shows us as a nice rose/plummy color on me. It's easy to apply (I usually put it on over my foundation and use my index finger to swipe some color off the top of the stick and swirl it onto the apples of my cheeks) and seriously will last all day (I've had it last through a snowstorm). I also have a feeling these things last forever--I've had it for a while and it looks like I've barely made a dent. Would definitely buy again!

Here's the deal - I really like the color of this product (especially pretty on fair skin, is my experience) but I cannot for the life of me apply it right! I'm no rookie with cream/gel blushes either, so I hardly think it's all my fault that this always looks blotchy and gross on me. While the colors are great, I really think if they weren't so sticky, application would be a million times better, but the consistency makes them hard to blend. I have NARS the Multiple in Orgasm right now, and while i'm getting kind of tired of the color, I really think that the texture and blendability are unparalleled. I really wanted to love these cheekstains, but application is just too much of a hassle.

i bought this to use at my wedding last year after reading the reviews on here, and have used it almost everyday since (with a brief detour back to powder brushes, which only made me realize how much better this is). after a year and a half's worth of daily use it's only a quarter of the way gone. i usually go through products very quickly, but as others have said, i can't imagine this ever running out. it smells delicious, looks dewy and fresh and is the perfect colour for my ppp skin, and it doesn't make me break out, definitely HG material. i took off one lippy because the packaging seems unsanitary, but other than that this stuff is almost perfect.

This is the only Tarte cheek stain I can comment on because I haven't tried any other shades ...yet. Mine came in a We Wish set... and I wouldn't have bought it on my own otherwise because I never really understood what gel blushes are. This reminds me of Clinique Black Honey Almost Lipstick, but for my cheeks. It is definitely lighter than it seems, but it still has a lot of blackberry reminiscence. I just use it on the top half of my cheek-apples and it lasts all day. It looks especially adorable (so I've been told) when you are coyly glancing up at, say, somebody you like and you try to bat your lashes at them (conversely, you could be blushing because you are making a fool out of yourself and then I'm sorry but this product will not help disguise that, but it won't make you look like any more of a clown at least). A natural, pretty, flushy blush. I like it SO MUCH MORE than any powder blush.

i will have to say that out of all the cheek stains i have used, i like this one the best. yes, the color of the container is scary but it goes on a lot lighter. i like to use a sponge to apply this because i find it goes on smoother and blends into the skin better than using my fingers. i also love the way this gel smells. i would buy it again, but you get a lot of product for your money so it will be awhile.

You've got to get familiar with this type of product in order to appreciate it. At first, I didn't like it; but that was because I wasn't applying it right. For those who say it doesn't last, the trick is to set the product by lightly brushing on powder blush over the top. Hope you find this tip useful.

This cheek stain is pretty great! I was a little hesitant about the bottle color, but once I applied it to my pale skin, I was in love! The color works perfectly for me, although it doesn't last all day. One lippie off for staying power.

Recently, my skin has become very dry. As a result, I am unable to wear powder foundation, blush, and eyeshadow.
I felt the price of this cheek stain was a little high, but I bought it anyway. It applies sticky, but if you have dry skin that is a plus. The applicator is also very easy to use. The color was just right for my fair complexion. It gives me just enough color to prevent looking washed out.
The best thing about this product is that it stays on for hours unlike many other cheek stains I have tried.
I'm giving it a '1' for packaging, because the cap cracked and broke immediately after purchase.

i wanted to like this product and tried it again and again, but it always felt sticky on my cheeks. i had a hard time blending it to a natural looking flush. basically it never worked for me and the biggest problem i have with it is the way it just stays sticky on your cheek. not good when you're giving someone a cheek-to-cheek kiss! i also found that the product would gather at the corners of the plastic tube. will not repurchase, and i have stopped trying to make this work for me.

Been wanting to try this. Purchased a week ago and rather disappointed. Looks good when first applied, then dries and disappears.
Also gals please note....first ingredient is PROPYLENE GLYCOL!!
Not very healthy!!!!! Very surprised to see that, so it's going back to Sephora ASAP. Not worth the money or health.

I like this blush. Not love, but like. I had to really get the hang of applying it correctly, and even when applied with a very light hand and blended, I still need to put a light layer of my bare minerals over it. I am a PPP, and this is a rosy "dewy" looking blush. It gives the look of someone pinching your cheeks, a flushed pink hue. Don't overdo it, though. If not applied extremely lightly, then this makes me look like a clown. Comes in a "deoderant stick" style applicator, but I find myself using my fingers. This will last forever, so I don't think I will ever NEED to buy again. And it is very expensive. I wouln't buy another shade simply because of the price. (I paid $28.00 I believe..) All in all, I do like it for those "natural" days along with my Buxom gloss and Clinique glossy mascara. I think this would be excellent on a darker complexion, though!

I generally like Tarte CHeekstains apart from this one. First, the texture was extremely sticky and once applied the product just WOULDN'T dry down like the other stains I have. The color is the blush equivalent of Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black HOney. It is a WARM reddish pink, maybe tawny would be a good description. I am NW20 and can pull off warm and cool shades as long as they are not extreme, and this is too warm for me. I know many people like this blush for the color but I honestly can't imagine this looks good on anyone. THe packaging kinda blows too. It is a push up mechanism, but if you push it out too far by accident you need to push it into the tube again by pressing down on the product with your fingers. I can't say I am impressed with this. Since this product doesn't work for me on so many levels, I cant help but give it one lippy only

This stain was terrible! I really wanted to like it too because I love other Tarte stains (I have Flush and Tickled). It just didn't seem to show up on me (MMM, NC 30) at all. I don't know if it was that particular one or it's that colour in general. I had to return it.

I have very pale skin and dark brown hair, so it's easy for me to look washed out. I specifically wanted a cheek stain because I work in a very casual environment and don't have time to reapply makeup.
I like this gel quite alot. It gives a sort of berry-rose flush to my skin. I do find its better to apply with my fingers--using the 'roll on' directly doesn't give me the control I want. And I especially appreciate that it lasts a long time on my skin!
The only thing I don't care for is that the gel is rather sticky.

This is a very pretty blush color. Its very easy to apply, and the color is so natural! It doesn't look like I'm wearing blush at all, I just have some color to my cheeks. I even had co-workers compliment me! I was a little skeptical at first because when I tried it out at Sephora it was incredibly hard to apply. I realize now though the ones at the store must just be dried out from sitting out all day because mine applies effortlessly. I just blend the edges a bit and I'm ready to go. Unfortunately it has no staying power. I couldn't get it to stay on my skin for the life of me :o( It got a few hours tops, while other great powder blushes last until I wash my skin at night. So while its a beautiful color, I will have to pass!

the tube says: "the honeymoon will never end when you've got the serene glow of a bride-to-be".. i got this tarte just yesterday and its a 3 weeks from my wedding day. the tube is dark looking like a grape color so i thought this will look awful on me...aka: bruised red cheeks"..but as i applied the gel it looks fantastic! like a rose red color, i dont know if its just me carried away by my upcoming wedding day but it indeed made me a special bride to be look! it look so fab on me. I like this better than the flush. i would definitely stick to this blusher..but then i will also uuse my flush...its realy a must have for every bride to be out there
go get it!!!!!
two thumbs up!!!

Gah, I love this stuff! I use it every single day. It's such a natural, rosy colour that makes you look like you're glowing from within. It is a tad sticky and shiny but a light swipe of powder takes care of this. And I wouldn't say this expensive at all considering the huge amount of product you're getting. Definitely recommended.

This was my first try at a gel blush. I got it in a discovery from QVC. The color is described as a sheer deep plum. The color may be deep in comparison to the other cheek stains by Tarte but I find it to be fairly light even on my fair skin. Its a pretty pinkish plum color. I've tried applying by dabbing it right onto my cheek from the package and by using my fingers. I prefer using my fingers to dab the product on. For whatever reason I'm never quite happy with the way it looks when I first put it on but when I catch myself in the mirror later its really pretty. It really does look like that "glow from within." I like this product but I doubt I'll ever give up my powder blushes for gel blush.

I absolutely love this cheek stain! very light and subtle with a wonderful light scent... I alternate it between my MAC cream blush from time to time. Its a little bit pricey but the whole thing will probably last me more than a year!
