I was amazed at how well this seemed to clean my face at the E.L. counter and I bought a bottle eagerly. However, it feels incredibly greasy when I massage it into my face and leaves an awful unclean feeling film on my face. I tried even using it as just an eye-makeup remover but it took a lot of work to get all mascara, sparkles, etc off. I have normal/combo skin so maybe it would be great for dry skin types. Now I just use it to clean out some of my makeup brushes (works great for that! HA) but not worth the price to me.

Ok, I find this product a little tricky, but overall its better than Lancome's makeup remover which was way too oily. When I first smelt it it was great, but now it smells like Baygone to me. I hope it smells better soon. As for really removing makeup... I find that it doesn't really remove the tiny sparkles from my eyeshadow, I needed a cleanser to do that well.

I LOVE this makeup remover!! I was talked into buying this at the EL counter and was afraid it was pushed because the girl wanted to make a sale...but, it is fabulous and I now can't imagine NOT using it! It takes off ALL my makeup (including waterproof mascara) with ease. Here is how I use it: I pump a very small amount out and massage into my face, THEN, I take a dove premoistened cleansing towelette and wipe it off-and of course, off comes the makeup! It is perfect for a lazy gal-ha. I was a little put off at first sight because of the price, but I use so little that it lasts forever. I've had my bottle for 5 months now and it is more than half full. True, I use the dove wipe and that does help remove more of the makeup, therefore the EL remover lasts longer but I still think it is economical. I can't even count the number of makeup removers/cleansers I have used and this one is the BEST! I will continue to use this!! I must say, I am definitely becoming more impressed with Estee Lauder products in general.

I will be purchasing bottle number 2 soon! I like to double clean as another reviewer mentioned ..I use this removal like cold cream, except for the eye (stings) Take it Away lasts a good 4 months so the price is worth it! Recommend!

I never re-buy anything since I'm such a new product addict, but this broke my cycle. I LOVE it! It takes off even the darkest, most stubborn color with ease and leaves my skin feeling lovely. "Take It Away" is a staple for me.

I purchased this because I loved the cream/gel consistency. It was nice and cooling on my eyes, and even moisturized them a little. This would be perfect for someone with more dry skin, more mature/delicate skin, or someone who wears heavy, long-wearing makeup as it removes all types of makeup from the entire face. I tend to prefer a liquid because it's just quicker. Nevertheless, this feels great going on (I never even washed it off!) and the bottle does not leak, which is always very important.

Creamy gel texture, not harsh but leaves my skin dry afterwards. Feels oily and leaves a bit of a greasy residue but hasn't broken me out - allergy or blemish wise. Sometimes it stings my eyes but it easily takes off all my makeup without any hard scrubbing. Has a floral cucumber scent.

This cleans away my makeup and foundation very well. I use it to clean my eyes too, and although I used to get it into my eyes so it stung, I've now mastered the art of removing eye makeup with this remover. I put it on a cotton pad, and apply it on my eyelid as far from my lashes, as I can go. Then clean inwards. No more tears! And it cleans a treat.

I really like this product. Yes it is very similar to Ponds Cold cream however its is not greasy. I like to double cleanse. Meaning clean my face before I use a cleanser. This is perfect for that.
I use it to remove my foundation before I use a cleanser and it gets most of the foundation and other makeup off great without a greasy residue unlike the cheap Ponds Cold Cream, which also works but I found too greasy.
The reason I am giving it 4 lipsticks is the face I dont like to use it on my eye area. I still use Lancomes BiFacil for my eye area, its my HG. Yes Ponds is 4.00 and this is 21.00 but its easier to use, pump form, no residue, my skin feels clean and over all I like it better. I was using Pola's Double Cleanse sytem which I like but found to be expensive but since I switched cleansers to Glycolic this is nice to prepare my face for cleansing. Will buy again.

This is not a bad product but please don't use it on your eyes cos it will sting. Anyway, I don't think it was meant to remove eye make up - it doesn't remove my waterproof mascara well in any case! Use a good eye/lip makeup remover for your eyes and this should serve you fine. It leaves my skin softer and smells nice, & does a decent job so I'm giving it a 4.

I was advised to use this product as a dual makeup remover and cleanser. Although I found it to be gentle, leaving my dry/combo skin feeling soft, it actually didn't do a very good job at removing my makeup which I wear very little of to start with. To feel completely clean I had to cleanse twice. Who has the time?

This product did not work well for me at all. The product says that it will leave "skin feeling soft and smooth with no greasy afterfeel or oil residue." That is totally NOT true! It in fact left my face feeling greasy and oily even after rinsing it off with water! I applied it to my skin dry, massaged it in well, and then rinsed off with water exacly like the instructions implies. I ended up with a face that felt like I just smothered a vat of oil all over it. I used my facial cleanser afterward to get that yucky feeling off my face. Oh, and the smell isn't pleasant at all - Chemically citrus. Currently, I'm using Shiseido Makeup Remover Wipes and it does the job better. I'm still looking for something for something even more satisfying, though. I feel like I wasted my money with this product since it was a hefty $21.00 USD for a 6.7 oz. pump. The pump they have for this product doesn't work so well as it is difficult to get the product out from the fancy nozzle. Not worth buying!

I didn't like this eye makeup remover. I think it has too much detergent in it. This actually suds up when I used it. I didn't use much either, just a little on a cotton ball. It stung my eyes horribly. One to avoid. Especially if you have sensitive eyes

INSTYLE Magazine RATED ONE OF THE BEST MAKEUP REMOVERS IN 2003. If you use Waterproof Mascara, you know how tough it is to remove & on occasions you pull out a few lashes. Well, this remover is SUPERLATIVE. No more of the oily pads to remove mascara & leave a residue on your skin. This cream works fast, will not hurt your eyes at all, & reliable! You will LOVE IT!

I like this for an eye makeup remover- it does sting a bit, but as long as you get it off quickly, who cares? no residue! it's non-drying, nice creamy-not oily- texture.

I'm into my 2nd bottle. I'm glad to find an all-in-one cleanser for my sensitive, acne-prone skin. This did not break me out. I've been using it faithfully for the last 6 months. The big plus is it can be used on entire face. And it cleans off all my waterproof mascara. I will stick to this unless another brand can produce something similar or better for lesser the price.

I bought this only because I wanted the GWP. I found it works well but I'm sure just regular cold cream would work just as well for a fraction of the cost. I'll finish this but I will definately save my money next time.

I got a big GWP bottle from a friend. It was awesome at taking away those semi-permanent lipsticks and waterproof makeup but I found that it did sting my eyes a bit. The packaging is classy as always but probably won't ever buy.
