I like this product from Clinique. I have combo oily skin and it gets shiny on my nose, forehead and chin. And in Charleston, SC being so humid and hot here in the Spring and Summer...that is bad for your makeup or even if you aren't wearing any (or for your skin). This product tones down a lot of the shine and oiliness from my skin, but not all of it. But I don't know what product that does or would. A little goes a long way with this product, you don't have to glob it on here. I took one lippie off for the price. Its kind of pricey at US $15... at least for me. I would repurchase though.

My favourite shine control product. I use a small amount on my oily nose and it instantly de-shines and makes my pores look far less noticable. I also love how it makes my skin silky unlike other similar products which make your skin rough. Yet another great product from Clinique!

personally, i prefer this better than the lancome's pure focus t-zone control. However, the price here is kind of ridiculous. It supposed to be about US 13.50, but i am paying more than US20.00 in order to get it here. Overall, it's a great product and i strongly recommend it to anyone who has oily t-zone.

I was really disappointed with this product..Did absolutely nothing for my skin, only gave me some pimples. I have an impression that Clinique´s products are not very effective in general.. I also tried the Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser (dried my skin out a lot), Rinse-Off Eye Makeup Solvent (an average, overpriced product) or All About Lips (my lips became dry 10 min. after using it). Don´t waste your money :(

This product worked no better or worse then every other product I have tried for reducing oil. I even used it with the whole Clinique 3 step system for oily skin and it didn't help. however, i liked the way that this product when on..it was very soft and velvety and I like my face like at so i can put my makeup on right. the more oil is on my face the less my powder wants to go on right. An hour later ofcourse i was ready to totally soak a blotter sheet but i would buy this again so my makeup stays looking fresher longer. If you have oily skin that is not sensitive, i recommend seeing a Derm. and getting Clinac BPO, that is the only thing that i have found that somewhat control oil, but my face gets red and burns and peels when I use it because I'm so sensitive. oh well.
*update* After being unable to find the Sally Hansen Zero Shine mattifier anymore (sucked for oil control but for some reason i liked the way my makeup went on over it) so I decided to give this another shot because it's been so long. I think they changed the product a tad, skin still feels velvety but i remember the old stuff being a little more like dryer. BUT, I've used this for the past few days and my face doesn't seem red when I put it on, but when I try to put my makeup on like right around my cheeks the powder foundation i use (covergirl blue compact) doesn't wanna stick to it. I had pimples on my cheeks that are finally healing so that might be why but I will prolly just continue using this because there's nothing else.*update* My makeup just does not like this. My powder foundation goes on cakey and uneven and i look horribly red. oh well :(

Definetly one of my staples when my skin is getting greasy during the middle of the day or in the evening. I like the way it makes your skin feel after...very soft and at least for me, it does eliminate shine and makes my pores look less visible. Plus it doesn't break my skin out..bonus! No residue either and no stickiness or yucky smell.
I have also used Yves Rocher Pore Regulation No More Shine T-Zone Cream which is a lot less expensive, however I found it left a sort of white residue and the smell was a bit of a turn off. In comparison, they both make your pore less visible and oiliness is reduced.
If you use Clinique's brand before makeup application, it makes your makeup look more even and flawless I find. I only use this product on my nose, a dab on my chin and down the middle of my forehead. No need to use it all over.

This is the first "pore minimizing" "instant mattifying" etc. product I've purchased besides the standard blotting papers, and I've got to say it's not bad. I'm not sure about how it compares to other products in it's realm, but for me, it does reduces shine - doesn't eliminate oil altogether, but the effects are reasonable. I'm not sure about the "pore minimzing" effect though - I don't have huge pores to begin with, but it probably doesn't change that to any large extent, considering I still see mine. So, overall, yes I would buy the product again, it does reduce T-zone shine, but don't get sucked into the slightly ridiculous claim that it some how "minimizes pores."

I'm always on the lookout for a great T-zone product, but this one is only "okay." It does minimize pores (I gave it 2 lippies for that) and when first applied, leaves a matte finish that isn't too dry. Unfortunately it doesn't last very long, and even my moderately oily skin is shiny within a couple hours. I tried it both under and over my Stila powder foundation -- FORGET putting this stuff over a powder foundation because it completely removes the makeup and you'll wind up with horrible white streaks, even if you gently pat it on. It's just too thick to put over foundation.BBW's Pure Simplicity Burdock Root Skin Mattifier is a much better product -- and you get a lot more for the money.

i've been using this product since before it was part of this new "pore minimizer" product line; back when it was a stand-along product in a smaller green tube. i like the tube becuz it's easy to control the amount of product i want and the compact size of the tube. since the green tube, i think they may have changed ingredients... it's not as chalky as before (more of a gel than a dry cream). personally, i've always liked it.. a little bit goes a long way. although i'll confess, i don't use it on my t-zone. i use it on my eyebrows cuz if i don't, my natural oils will melt any product i use on my eyebrows, pencil or powder. best of all, it's rather cheap.
i think the key point to remember about this product is that a tiny dot goes a long long way. the only reason why i gave it a 4 out of 5 is because it's not a "pore minimizer" at all and never was to begin with (considering the old product). i consider that false advertising. otherwise it's an excellent t-zone control product.

I've only been using it for two days but so far, it's great. No white residue to speak of and a lot less shine than I am used to.

Although this product didn't minimize my pores, I found it controled shine when applied to my t-zone. It's a little pricey for the amount you get so I might shop around for another substitute, but overall it was decent.

Was using it as intended but I found that it was much better at preventing mascara smudges underneath my eyes. I put it under my eyes, blot a little powder there and a busy day later plus a sweaty workout, my mascara still has not smudged on my oily skin. As for its initial pupose, I found that Pore Minimizer Instant Perfector is much better.

I haven't had any problems with it showing up white on my skin like other people have--it goes on pretty smooth and light. Though I think it initially helps keep shine away at teh geginning of the day, it doesn't last throughout the day. I'd be interested to try something else.

This is a pretty good product. I have combination skin with an oily nose and so I apply s thin layer on my nose every morning. This keeps my nose oily-free for quite a long time and the change is noticable. A decent buy.

I've noticed that people divide into two camps on this product: either love or hate. I'm of the former right now. I used to use Peter Thomas Roth's mattifier which works wonderfully, but is very expensive and very thick textured. Clinique's T-zone control is much lighter and I love the way it goes on. I don't see the white tinge that everyone else is complaining of, as I'm careful not to use to much. It keeps me pretty shine free and is a third of the price of PTR. I like it so far. Problem is I use a fairly heavy sunblock now that seems to make everything a bit oily. But I put the T-zone control on before that, and it seems okay. Girls, stop blotting with those silly blotting papers. Use a nice paper lunch napkin. Those work so much better to absorb oil!!! But yes, I think I may repurchase. It's a cheaper and more doable mattifier than PTR and it works fine for me.

I found that this leaves a ghostly whitish trace where it has been applied, whether I apply over or under foundation or on its own. I also haven’t found that this mattifies much, either. Years ago I got through a whole tube but now I’m not sure how! I think my current tube, which is hardly used, will simply sit at the bottom of my beauty case…

Sigh...nothing will keep me matte for more than an hour, it seems. This did keep the shine from appearing as quickly as it usually does (maybe an hour) but I'm still on the hunt for something a little longer lasting.

I use this product before I put on the instant perfector and have had great results. My skin is super oily bit I can get a good four to five hours in before I have to blot which is a hell of a lot better than fifteen min. I have super oily skin with mega pores and this gives them a close to flawless look. You do have to blend in really well cause it does leave some residue if you're not careful especially around the eyebrows. Love it will continue to buy it.
