*update* after having strange painful small blemishes around my nose for the last 6 months, i traced the problem to this product. i'm not sure what in the product caused it, but as soon as i stopped using it, the breakouts vanished. I think it was some kind of dermatitis. Its a shame, otherwise the product worked great. *original review* I'm really impressed with this product. To begin, i have combo/oily skin, i'm 26, and i have moderate acne. I use DDF's 10% Glycolic Toner, and have had great results w/ that, but slacked off on using it and my skin went nuts. To help my skin get back on track and ready for summer here in FL i bought Skyn Iceland's 'The Antidote' to replace my Korres Yoghurt cream (which is lovely, but too heavy for summer). The Skyn Iceland product was nice, but after about a month proved to not really moisturize. I keep it around for a sunburn serum. Insomniac that i am, i caught the Murad infomercial one night/morning and altho i have cleansers and treatment toners covered, was interested by the moisturizer. Grabbed a bottle at Sephora and 2 weeks later, i'm duly impressed. This seems to be a perfect pair for my DDF toner and my skin tone and texture has snapped back to pre-laziness levels. My breakouts are almost totally gone and i have no new ones coming up. I'm also a great deal less oily during the day. I wash my face once a day, at night (MAC Cleanse Off Oil), follow w/ DDF toner, and then this. In the morning, i rinse my face w/ water and put a teeny bit of this on dry areas, if any. It has an odd smell but that fades quickly and its not that strong. Absorbs well and leaves a nice finish on the skin. I'd definitely repurchase assuming it continues to work this well.

Great hydration with mattifying factor too! Originally started using this at nighttime a few weeks ago and now I used it as makeup base as it leaves a silky smooth finish. Very happy with it so far :)

Ugh. $33, and it's such crap. I bought it because I'd heard good reviews and really wanted to use a better face lotion than I had been using. This stuff was greasy, there's not a lot in there, and clogged my pores. I'm going to throw it out when I buy something else, I just need to get to the store. I'm not returning it to Ulta because I can't find the receipt! :(

It has pore-clogging ingredients like algae and as I see on the review down more, methol. Ew, ew, ew. If someone finds a good skin-perfecting lotion that doesn't leave your face a greasy clog-filled mess, let me know? Clogged pores are my biggest issue.

eww greasy. Plus it has pore clogging ingredients(like methol)! I should have checked those out before I bought this. Was able to return to Ulta though. I didn't use it long enought to see if it would break me out but, usually when things feel that greasy, its not a good sign.

At first I hated it but now I think it's working somewhat for me. I used to think that it's too oily but now I use my whole hand to apply it instead of 2 fingers and it works somehow. The amount of product on my face is enough to keep it soft and not oily. (^_^)
Update!!!! too oily again...don't think that it's helping the acne much.

I have combination, sensitive, acne prone skin. I gave Murad a try and it made my skin worse. I looked so bad for a while. I've gone back to using my dermatologist's face wash and spot treatment, Boscia Oil Free Moisturizer w/SPF 15 in the day, and Avon HydraRadiance Night Moisturizer and my skin is finally looking normal. I would definitely not recommend anything by Murad.

I love, love, love, love this moisturizer.

I've been using the whole Murad Acne Complex system for over 4 years, and the Skin Perfecting Lotion is just amazing. It is super-lightweight and has definitely decreased the good ol' mid-day T-zone oiliness.

It's such a great feeling to find a product that you know you'll use forever :-) I just wish it was sold in a larger bottle!

Not a good product at all. It made my normal/oily skin really dry. My skin got so dry that flakes appear. In the meantime, I still have breakouts.

Update: I have kept on using this product for close to a month now, and you know, I have a better feel about this lotion now. I had really bad acne and dry skin in the same time for about two weeks, now my skin is getting better and more even.

You know, I used to use this stuff 6 years ago, and then curiosity got the best of me and I started trying everything else. EVERY expensive department store lotion or moisturizer, and nothing has really done it for me. And a stumbled across an ad for this stuff, re-purchased, and now I am wondering why on earth I ever decided to stop using it. Just lovely, absorbs beautifully, skin super soft, and it has retinol, which is essential for changing the behavior of your skin. I am officially declaring this my HG!

I've been using this at night for about 2 weeks along with Boscia's clear skin kit. I love it! It moisturizes better that anything else, and doesn't make me break out, as far as I can tell. It makes my skin feel really soft and smooth, and not greasy at all.

I got this as part of the Acne Complex kit. I really like the texture. It's light but moisturizing. And it hasn't caused me to break out. But I haven't noticed any miracle difference in my skin either.

I really wanted to like this, so I've tried it in each of our four seasons. Sadly, this is just not a product that works for me. It's light weight, but smells a bit off. It did cause breakouts and made my skin PEEL in cooler/cold months. I'm 40 with acne-pone skin.

Love this moisturizer! I've used it for quite some time and have had no problems with my sensitive skin. It is pretty expensive for a small size, so I try to stretch it out as long as I can, but I do that because it's the best moistruizer I've had in a long time! Very happy with it.

Fantastic moisturizer. Very light scent to it. Sinks right into the skin and lasts all day. Quite pricey but worth it. Only thing I like from Murad that didn't make me break out and the only good part about the acne complex.

My skin is very sensitive and acne prone, so typically moisturizers for acne prone skin end up causing a firey mess. This lightweight lotion absorbs quickly and doen't cause any irritation. My acne has not totally cleared, but there has been a moderate improvement (again with NO drying irritation). So, this one is a keeper.
