This was the #5 best-selling perfume in France in 2008 and I can see why. It is subtle and ethereal, yet it has a very flirty and strong presence. I tend to be an extremist when it comes to perfume (and many other things in life, to be honest). When I'm in the mood for a sweet gourmand, I swear off all florals and go for the sweetest, foodiest scent out there. When I get sick of smelling sweet, I search high and low for a floral musk without the slightest trace of vanilla or amber. This creates a problem for me because I very rarely will stick to the same perfume for longer than a couple of days before falling madly in love with another scent in a different genre. Fortunately, though, I've acquired quite a collection with scents in just about every genre so that I can satisfy my craving for floral one day, aquatic the next, and fruity-gourmand another day.
Enter Flower by Kenzo. I've sampled this one and gone back and forth so many times and still, I don't know which genre this perfume belongs in. It is a powdery, sweet, floral breath of heaven, distinct yet familiar. It is classified by many websites as a floral oriental and on some days, it does seem to fall into this category. It's one of the few perfumes I would deem "light" and "airy" with a decent amount of staying power and sillage. It's the type of perfume that I could reach for on any day, no matter what my mood or craving, and be satisfied.
It's a casual perfume that doesn't try too hard; an honest personality that innocently wears her heart on her sleeve. She will laugh with you and wink at others, all the while holding a steady accord of emotional warmth and seriousness. I can't imagine an occasion or environment where this perfume wouldn't be well-liked and admired.

Although in a way light it's still very powdery perfume. It actually smells really bad. :( Loved the design but the perfume is horrible. Makes me sick. :(
Never gonna buy this.

Horrid stuff. Powdery to the point that it catches in my throat. Barely any "flower" to it... and if there is any, I surely can't identify it. It smells exactly like Baby Magic to me.

Flower smells baby powderish to me. When I tested this in Ulta I couldn't smell anything. Another online reviewer (not at MUA) had the same experience. Then I got a sample from Sephora and could smell it, but didn't like it.

Powdery, light floral fragrance. I think this smells beautiful. A few months ago I tried Flower le parfum and was so turned off that I avoided the the other Flower fragrances. I'm glad to have tried the original Flower today as it's a different fragrance from le parfum. I heard that Flower is a top seller in France and I can see why, it's just so wearable. And, the bottle is adorable.

I got this as a sample from Sephora (thus the price and packaging), I'm loving this. I haven't even checked out the price, seems like a good summer scent. Very clean smelling, powdery, flowery (in the beginning). So far I'm loving it.

this is so special, fresh, sweet, clean and addictive. plus the lasting power is excellent! but I don't think this will suit everyone, so it's not a god idea to buy before testing.
this is my absolute favorite perfume! and I think I will love it forever:)

I have just been given a bottle as a gift and have found while it's not wildly originaI, I do like the powdery scent & the hint of sweetness. It's quite 'clean' and easy to dress up or down.
However the staying power isn't very good on me.
I'll continue to use it, but I doubt I'd buy it again for myself as it doesn't have that special something to hook me in. It would be a good choice for a gift, as it’s not disagreeable & it is good for all ages.
The bottle is lovely to look at and the price is reasonable.
Scent notes: Parma violet, wild hawthorne, cassis, Bulgarian rose, vanilla, white musk and gentle woods.

I bought this perfume at the airport at Prague, after trying a lot of differents brands. I was confused and couldn't decide what fragrance I should buy. So at the last moment I picked Flower and did not regret it. I also bought the body lotion here in Greece. Overall is a really nice fragrance, light but yet lasts for a long time. And I find it quite romantic too.

I love Caron fragrances. Recently I sampled Royal Bain de Caron, which I found interesting but overly sweet, syrupy, oily. Then I read in "Perfumes, The Guide" that RBDC was mangled over the years but reincarnated, courtesy of Kenzo and Alberto Morillas, as Flower. Luca and Tina are correct. This is RBDC but perfect--light, fresh, and unlike anything else on the market. Unisex. Floral but unidentifiable as a single flower or even a number of flowers. It's effervescent and bright and alluring. Five lippies.

I love this, it's the perfect spring scent. Not overpowering and light and I think the packaging is very pritty.

Kenzo Flower is a dense mix of powder and violets, maybe some vanilla/wood in the dry down. Unlike other scents that fade after a while, this just gets stronger and headier. The powder dominates all other notes, and really, if I want to smell like a baby's bottom I'll just roll around in some cheap baby powder instead of paying $$$ for this.
It's ironic that there's a poppy flower on the bottle since poppies don't have a fragrance. Lovely bottle, though, so two lippies.

I'm surprised at the low ratings for this, but then again when do I ever like things that are popular in the norm! This fragrance is a little 'off', in that it is very unique and different. It has that rare quality of not giving me a headache 20 minutes in. I'd describe it as clean, powdery, sweet, but not cloying.. soft, but grown-up and independent. I'd love to get my hands on a bottle of this! And maybe it's just the marketing messing with my head, but I can't help but think a lot of Asian girls would like this (I'm half-Asian).

GAGS!!! I got this as an extra in a swap and YUCK! I always wanted to try it because of the cool bottle, but now I thank all of my luck stars that I never did. I just knew this stuff was going to smell great, because I love florals, so I just sprayed it on my arm without sniffing first. Ugh I swear it smelled like I just walked into church and every single old lady there overdosed on their most rancid perfume. I will NEVER buy this!!

I can't stand this scent at all! It's sickly revolting, because it smells very fake like oil/petrol and plasticky. It's very powdery but not subtle at all! Of course it smells "clean" but it's a very fake clean.
It's like a chemical bomb masked with an innocent look.
