I have been using this powder for some time. It goes on evenly and it does a good job covering up shine. The only draw back is that you do have to re-apply about midday.

First of all, the puff didn't fit into the compact, so I had to find a seperate container to hold it! Even though it's a nice silvery-blue color, it looks like a toy compact and not a real one. Second, it wasn't the smoothest application, but I guess not cakey. I wore only a little bit, but it wasn't velvety smooth like MAC is. You can't reapply this unless you wipe everything off and start over. The color I bought (Translucent Light) did make my skin look prettier without adding color, but the thickness of it bothered me. I might repurchase this. BTW there IS a fragrance to it, but it's not very bothersome. I think it's from the talc.

IT MADE MY SKIN BREAK OUT. WEHN I STOPPED USING IT MY SKIN CLEARED UP. I WAS PROLLY ALERGIC TO ONE OF THE INGREDIENTS. AND IT DIDNT DO A GOOD JOB OF CONTROLING OIL TOO MUCH. IT MADE MY TZONE MORE OILER. I DON'T LIKE THIS PRODUCT. I GIVE IT A 2 BECAUSE FOR THE FIRST 10 MINS IT GAVE MY SKIN A ALMOST FLAWLESS LOOK.

I used to use this as a pressed powder, but it made my face too oily too fast. BUT, since I'm very pale, I use the darker colours as bronzer any they work great because they are matte and fairly translucent. Plus, they are sold everywhere, won't be discontinued, and are cheap as hell!

Well, this didn't do the job for me. The color (Translucent Light) was yellow-based and perfect and the powder is fine enough to disappear into the skin. But, the performance was nonexistent. I've never worn a powder that allowed my T-zone to get so very oily, so quickly. The weather is cooling off now, so that wasn't the culprit. This powder just doesn't perform for me. It's a mystery to me that it works for anyone.

Have used this faithfully for a few years now. Before that I only used Mary Kay powder. This is the best drugstore powder I have found and its less than $5.00. It controls oil, is unscented, leaves a soft finish over foundation ( Revlon Colorstay in buff) and it does not cake or orange. Never feels heavy even after touch ups. I use translucent light which is a perfect neutral shade for light skin. Key -it is translucent so it may not give coverage to bare skin.

If you found that MAC Blot did not work for you, try this. The color is soo much better. I have transclucent Medium and I really just use it to cut shine in the t zone and for touch ups. The color is sheer and it does not leave a wierd color like Blot does or lighten like Laura Mercier's transclucent, very natural. Winner!

I have oily/blemish prone skin and need to use a powder every day to combat shine. I've been using MK pressed powder but have been on the hunt for new skin care/makeup. This powder received high ratings on zerozits.com due to its lack of irritating ingredients. I haven't had any breakouts due to the powder, which is always good! It is pretty sheer, which I like, and does a good job of evening out skin tone. I don't know if I'd buy again. I like to try new things just too much!

After my CoverGirl Fresh Complexion Powder Foundation broke, I switched to this one.I'm happy with the shade of the powder, but I guess that's the only thing that really satisfied me. The shine control was okay, since I have extreamly oily skin, I didn't expect to see a matte face after about 3 hours of applying in the hot arizona sun... But the main problem is that the produt made me brake out after using a for a while. I take good care of my face, (wash all makeup off at night, tone, moisturise, spf...) So I don't think I will repurchace. UPDATE: The zits cleared up after about a week and didn't come back again... maybe it's something else. It is still a 4 because of the weak shine control.

This is an excellent blotting powder. It never, ever cakes up, and makes my skin completely shine-free without piling on too much color. I love it. I just wish it came in nicer packaging; it's just not a compact that you want to whip out in public. I just keep one in the car and use it for touch-ups.

Love this powder!!! Taking care of the shine really well, doesn't have a scent that I can distinguish, isn't irritating my skin, and looks great! What more can you ask for less than $5? I would pay more than that for this, but I don't have to! Wonderful. Husband keeps telling me how nice my skin looks!

This is a great basic pressed powder. Isnt drying to the skin and doesnt leave a nasty film or clog up the pores. I wouldn't recommend to someone with lots of blemishes because this does not give the ultimate in coverage. Just a simple powder I use to give myself a nice, natural, matte finish without having the whole "madeup" look.

I tried this out but even in the very lightest shade it was too dark for me.
When I needed to touch up shine in the afternoon (so it DID reduce shine for about 4-5 hours initially) the powder went on even darker in the oily patches.
Good product for the price, but I wish it came in a wider spectrum of colors or a translucent shade.

I really like this powder. It's dirt cheap and sucks up oil great when I pat a tiny bit on. I have very oily skin, so I use this for touch-ups during the day, and it works great. I like this powder better than my MAC Matte in Medium/Dark because it didn't make my skin seem too dull or ashy. Although it's not as glamourous as MAC Matte, it works a whole lot better to me and the price it right. I would buy it again if I was on a seriously tight budget.

It's OK. It works alright...it doesn't last v. long so you have to reapply to make it thru the day. It covers minor flaws. I will say one thing..cover girl gives you plenty of colors to choose from so you are bound to find yours.

i was a little disappointed with the lack of color this provided. but thats my only gripe. its a pretty good powder, if u want shine control.. and not much else. comapring this to CG clean powder (which i like better), this was scented, more yellowish, and provided less coverage. the scent isnt bad, i just wasnt used to it after using CG clean powder (fragrance free) for a year. anyway, i will not be re-purchasing this becuz i need a little more coverage.

A decent powder, for the price. It's translucent, it's not heavy, and it does keep the shine at bay for a while. It's no better than anything else I have, though. It's actually kind of chalky.

I doubt I'll buy this again.

The best powder for the price!! I have used this product for years and won't be leaving! it's the best travel compact since it's light and durable and it works! It's cheap too, so if you loose it it won't break your budget. The powder itself is light and breathable and doesn't cake on or anything. It covers blemishes surprisingly well for a pressed powder and really stays on. I recomend this product for anyone. I've already got a couple of my friends hooked!
