This eyeliner was included in a packaged gift set that Lancome was promoting, and truthfully, I wasn't expecting much. I was more interested in the palette that came with it, so I ended up ignoring everything else included for a good while.

About a week ago, I was leaving to go out with my friends when I stuffed this into my overnight bag, so I wouldn't have to bring any of my "main" cosmetics with me. I'm glad I did, because this eyeliner is fabulous! It goes on smooth, and the colour is rich and intense. I usually use black eyeliner, but this one was brown and it still looked great. When I went out, people were stopping me telling me what beautiful eyes I had.

I would highly suggest this eyeliner, and I would definitely purchase it when I need to, except this time, I'm going to also buy a black and a grey.

Great eyeliner - I find it goes on very easily, doesn't smudge, but is easy to remove. I have it in Black, the colour is very intense. I have had no problems with it irritating my eyes either.

very disappointing. I love lancome, but this kohl is really bad. I even bought TWO (both in black) and both smudge almost immediately once I put it on my waterline.
It get one lippie for ease of application.

I got this in black but it's a sample piece. I like the intensity of the color, it's really very black!

I like how easy the application is, making lining the eyes so easy! The only down side is that, it smudge at times.

This eyeliner was quite disappointing. For 23 dollars you would not expect it to be a smudgy mess. Also, it kinda irritates the eye if worn on the waterline. I wouldn't buy this again, I think I'll stick with cream eyeliners because I don't like having to check my makeup every half hour throughout the day. It is a beatiful pencil that looks really good in your makeup bag, but that's about it. I could also see it lasting a long time because it is so long, but it smudges something terrible!

It's not a bad eyeliner, but it's not the best I've used either. It tugs a bit, doesn't have great staying power, it's generally just MEH. At at an expensive price, it's not worth buying again.

I have this in Black Lapis and it's a nice blackish blue/navy colour. I like the fact that it glides on smoothly and is easy to apply. I've had mine for ages as it's huge. Definitely worth the money. Will buy this again for the colour and the texture! EDIT (june 30, 2008): I had to knock this down to 2 lippies because it really smudges BAD!! Even though it's a breeze to apply and the color is gorgeous, I wouldn't buy this again due to the horrid and easy smudge factor. Not sexy when i have another liner in the middle of my eyelid! HORRIFYING!

I have it both in black and black lapis. Black is just okay, wouldn't buy it again. But black lapis is a dark navy blue and I loveeee it to play up my blue/green eyes. The only problem I have with this is that it smudges easily. I only wear it on my top lids because of the smudge factor. It is very large though, which is good to get more for your money since it is a little expensive.

I've been using this without much thought for years - it glides on smoothly, does not irritate eyes (I wear contacts) but it doesn't have much staying power. Recently I have been trying out cheaper drugstore level eyeliners which seem to have better staying power and half the price

i got this in a mini size in a LE kit. i have to say im impressed i am terrible with liners tried all sorts, pencils, gels, liquids. but i find this really smooth and creamy and easy to use. and the texture aint too soft either. the black is an okay black but over shadows is a less intensly black, good for a softer look. on me this lasts a good 6 hours after which it smudges & fades slightly but is still noticeable. better than some high end brand pencils i have tried.

Easy to wear, goes on smooth, lovely colours, reasonable price. What's more to say? I think this eyeliner is a little bit on the smudgy side but it doesn't transfer and end up on eyelids like some brands. Great if you're going for the more natural look (rather than razor sharp) this is a great pen. If you really want sharp precision then it's not the best choice. My favourite shade is the "gris métal" which is a sparkly grey. Will buy again.

I know this pencil smudges, but it is one of the reason that I like it (for the not-so-perfect smokey eyes, bohemian look) I have the black one, and I have been using this pencil, as long as I remember. I use it on the inner line of my lids, and this is the softest one that I found on the market, and also the only one that stays there more than 5 minutes, on the inner portion, and doesn't make my eyes watery. It is a very soft pencil, and a true black. I tried MAC pencils in black, but always returned to this one. I don't remember the price as my mom bought me 3 more blacks as a gift. (I know I use this pencil a lot!and obsessed about it :)

I'm not a big fan of pencil liners, because they don't create the look I'm looking for and seem to smudge easily or disappear too fast. This liner is pretty good at staying put and doesn't smudge as much. It lasts a long time too. However, for the price I paid for this I rather buy a gel eyeliner at the same price. As for pencil eyeliners though, I think this could be one of the best.

I love this eyeliner. It's creamy - so it's great for smoky eyes. The downside is that it smudges fairly easily. If you live in a very humid climate (or have very oily skin), then you probably need to look elsewhere. I actually love using this as a brow pencil. If you use a light hand and then go over it with a brush, it creates the most natural looking brows! The pencil lasts FOREVER, so the price isn't too bad when you know it'll last for 2-3 years (if not longer).

This is my absolute must-have product. It was worth every dollar of the $22 I payed for this eyeliner. Well, first of all, even thought it was $22, it's like, 10 inches long so I probably won't have to re-purchase for a very long time. I can use for any type of look, whether I'm going for a smoky look or a delicate look, this liner makes my eyes look amazing. It's about as black as any liner can get, so it looks good with my olive complexion and my dark brown eyes. It comes on really easily too, and it rarely has to be sharpened. It has a good quality formula, so it stays on all day, and I never need to re-apply when I wear this eyeliner. I think everyone should have one of these.

This thing has NO staying power at all! It does go on very very creamy, but then completely disappears within a few hours. I have extremely dry skin, so the fact that it vanishes so rapidly is an indication that this is just the way this product is. Clinique quickliner is still my favorite; does not go on as smooth and creamy as this one, but def has more staying power.

I have Le Crayon Khol in both moss and black ebony (given to me as a gift). The colors are nice but, for $22 a piece I was expecting much better performance! The smudging is very bad and they wear off only after a few hours. I much rather prefer urban decay 24/7 glide-on eye pencils or clinique's cream shapers. Don't fall into this expensive trap!!

I have been using this eyeliner for as long as I can remember. I used to wear black, grey, brown, and blue, but now I stick with the brown (Brun) shade because it suits me so well. It is a gorgeous chocolate brown color, which I like better than black because it is a softer look. I like the way this pencil glides on really easily. It is creamier than other eyeliners I have tried. I don't have a problem with it smudging. It does tend to wear off by the end of the night, but I think that is normal with most make up. I can see myself being loyal to this product for a long time to come.
