Burns my face off. Would be good as a spot treatment, but for use all over (which you must do to prevent more breakouts) it's way too harsh. Plus, studies have shown 2.5% bp to be as effective as higher concentrations.
Also, I have heard Clearsil puts comedogenic (pore clogging) ingredients in their acne cream. Those interested in this product may want to check up on that.
I recommend DKR BP gel, Neutrogena on-the-spot or Persagel instead.
But whatever cream you choose...do not get this on your hair or near your hairline. I have unexpected highlights as a result of not heeding the warnings this product may bleach hair/fabric.

This 10% BP product has led me through every acne crisis in the past years (and there has been more than a few). If used promptly upon the first sign of a new zit, this gets rid of it in a matter of hours. Love it. Can dry your skin out if used more than 2-3 times a day. Works for my VERY sensitive skin with no problems such as redness, etc. Highly recommended.

I used to use this product in high school. My skin has never been really bad, but I tend to get a lot of blackheads on my cheeks and chin, and the nose area.
Unfortunately I stopped using it a few years ago, and all those problems have crept up on me again.
But this product really helps to keep my pores clear. It can be irritating, so I find using at night is better. That way I'm asleep and it doesn't matter. Then when you take a shower in the morning, you can feel it really go into your pores if you wait to wash it off your face until about halfway through. If you have sensitive skin I would not try that part, because it stings even my skin. But that's how I make sure that the product really gets into my skin.
One tube lasts a long time, since a little bit goes a long way. I use a dab maybe the size of a pea for my whole face.
As others have stated, it can bleach fabrics pretty badly, so wash your face while wearing some old PJs, and not the nice shirt you want to wear for the day.
Make sure you wear sunblock when you use this stuff, since it does increase sun sensitivity. You don't want your skin getting majorly sun damaged!
After I use it for a week or so, I can see the blackheads start to dissappear. It's the only thing that I found that gets rid of them. It also gets rid of the under the skin infections that form pimples, so if I feel one developing, I put a little extra over that area, and in the morning it's all gone.
Definitely take extra precautions if you have sensitive skin. I don't have sensitive skin and it still makes my face burn and itch a little bit if I put too much on.

I bought this stuff based on what one of my friends had told me. The first time I used it I remember it really drying my skin and making it red so I quit using it. Here lately my skin has been horrible with zits so I decided to try one more time. I put it on before I went to bed and when I woke up the next morning same thing had happened. My face was so red and itched so terribly bad. Nothing would cover up the redness. And the days following left my skin flaky where it had been. However it did seem to shrink the zit, so I guess it worked but will probably never use again because how it left my skin. I guess my skin is too sensitive for it.

Clearasil works fairly well with clearing up acne marks. It doesn't work as good as Clean and Clear Persagel 10, however, if you are in need of something quick that is cheap and is a drug store treatment, than this is worth a shot. I actually used this for several years, and have recently stopped using it. I just find it to be a little too drying for my skin type. With a decent moisturizer, it works much better and is not so annyoing to use. I hate getting flakes because my skin dries out. So, all in all this is a pretty good product. Not the best on the market, but better than others I have used. A little goes a long way. Don't use too much, than your face might become super itchy, and irratated. The cost is only about 3 dollars and the tube lasts for a decent amount of time. I'd buy this again if I had to, but I will stick with Clean and Clear Persagel 10. It's my newest staple for facial care.

this is the clearasil ultra vanishing acne treatment thing right? because the tittle is not clear.
well anyways the one i have dries out my normal skin a little bit. i think it makes me produce more oil. i've always had clear skin with monthly beakouts of only one pimple! but just a week ago i broke out with 4 pimples probably due to my aveeno positivley radiant and smooth UN-moisturizers.
but this one does not work at all. it claims to work in 3 days, but its been more than 3 days!!! and also, i can never usethis during the day time because it it comes in contact with the sun, i will get a brown little burn spot on my skin. not worth my time and money and precious skin; don't buy this.
i'm using neosporin now for two days and its already starting to work. i read this tip off of seventeen mag so go try it people!
EDIT: well acutally i will keep buying just to prevent anything coming back.

I love this stuff! I've been using it for years, and it really works well at getting rid of any pimples. Just be careful if you use it to prevent pimples (I wear it almost every night), because too much can really dry your face out. Oh, and yeah, watch out for bleaching...I bleached out my pillows and some of my shirts...now I'm more careful though, and don't have any problems with that. I actually switched to the Equate (Wal-Mart) version of the stuff, and it works the same for me, and for a lot less money. I definitely recommend this product. :)

This stuff seems to be the only thing that clears up my skin, but only if I use a thin layer over my entire face, and only in the evenings. I was doing the acne.org regimen, using 2.5% BP all over my face twice a day, but I found the 2.5% was too low a concentration of BP to dry up any existing pimples that I had, plus I didn't have the time in the morning to wait for the BP to dry before I put on my moisturizer and makeup. So I decided to see what would happen if I increased the dosage of BP to 10%, and only used it in the evenings. For me, at least, this seems to work better. My face is clearing up, and the 10% BP dries up my existing pimples in a week's time or less, even the monster zits that lurk beneath the skin for weeks and then suddenly explode. I would recommend starting out with a little of the 10% BP and gradually increasing it until your skin gets used to it.

Ok, I read the reviews for this Clearasil Vanishing cream and ran to my nearest Walmart (everything there is cheaper and I can never pass up a bargain)...Anywho I noticed that Wally's brand Equate was next to the Clearasil and that it had the exact same ingredients. 10% BP is 10% BP, so I bought it for $1.86. I figured I didn't have much to lose with my already oily and acne prone skin. Well last night was my second night using it and when I woke up this morning my face was clear! My coworker ran out at lunch to buy some. She has seen my face at its worse. Now I will update this review in about a month just in case my skin takes a turn for the worse...

This works so well for me! This cream is supposed to be drying - that's how you get rid of the pimples... by drying them out. Whenever I get a small red spot on my face, I just apply a very thin layer to the spot and it's gone by the next day! I don't know how this works on long-term acne. I haven't experienced any "bleaching" from using this, and I would highly reccomend. Works WAY better than See Spots Run by Bliss, which doesn't work at all.

This stuff is ok...haven't really noticed that it cleared my skin up any faster than other drugstore products I've tried. My major issue with this product is the fact that it BLEACHED my pillow. I know there is a warning but geez...

The orginal Vanishing Cream is very drying to the skin, but it really didn't do all that much. The Clearasil Ultra Vanishing cream isn't drying, but they both kinda seem to work the same in my opinion.

Hmm... this doesn't seem to make much of a difference for me. I'm a little disappointed, but at $4 I'll deal.

Be very wary of this product. It seems that I am allergic to something within this formula, as every time I try it, my face bunches up and swells. Not pleasant. Also, the tube it comes in is very poor quality, bend it too far trying to get product out and it will simply burst on you. Most problematic indeed. All and all, the price is great and it seems to work for some, but make sure you know when you go in if you have sensitive skin and if so, this may not be the treatment for you.

This is a great acne-fighting product. In fact, I find this cheap treatment works better for me than my super expensive Zeno!
It contains 10% Benzoyl Peroxide, which as most know by now, is a popular and proven acne fighter - it kills P. Acnes Bacterium.
Clearasil Vanishing Cream works just as well, in fact better, than the more expensive higher-end BP products I've purchased. When I follow the directions: Apply a THIN layer to affected areas, it works best. Whereas if I glob it on (I used to think more is always better) it doesn't work and would just make the surrounding skin irritated and itchy. THIN IS BEST in this case. It works even better when applied following a Salicylic Acid gel because then the pores are opened for the BP to delve in and start attacking.

I hereby pronounce this product totally underrated. When I moved to England from the states, for some reason the only clearasil products they had here were salicylic acid-based and the like. I'm one with constant acne (aged 30), and although I know I used this when I was a teenager I kind of turned up my nose at it for a long time. Until I thought to myself, "I need a BP", and had to wait until I went home to get one. And, you know what? In spite of all the fancy-pants products I have tried, this one actually works! Now, I can't say it will work forever, but I've been using this every night for two weeks, and my skin hasn't become "used" to it yet. For me, that's the very definition of success. I'm sure, like everything else, it won't work forever, but...it works at least as well or better than lots of products that are much more expensive.

Stay away from this!!! My skin itched so badly when I first used it that I couldn't help but scratch. My face became so red and I'm sure the scratching made me break-out more. I used it anyway, thinking that I would get used to it with time and I hoped that my skin would clear up. Ironically, it wasn't until I stopped using this cream that my face became clear.
