I used the Brilliant Bordeaux color. I love the color and think it did look like the color on the box. It did dry out my hair a little but that's to be expected with any color. I usually go to the salon's that use aveda products which are more gentle. But I've used this color a couple times when I'm being more budget conscious. I liked it but am still looking, hoping I can find a box color someday that does less damage, like aveda does because it would be a lot cheaper than going to the salon!

I got this in Medium Cool Tortoise Brown T63. Even my roots looked medium brown (with naturally soft black hair, my hair goes reddish when I dye it).
I like how shimmery&"multi-faceted" the colour is. The conditioner in the package was great. I could see that it did add some shine everytime I used it.

*UPDATE*
It's been a month, and now my hair is brassy light GINGER brown. My hair is literally ginger-brown, no kidding. It even look red-gold blonde in the sun and I hate it!!!!

I have tried almost every hair dye line from the drugstore and Sally's Beauty Supply. I've been dying my hair for like 10 years now and Feria is my all time fav. I always like trying new things and shades but have come to realize my hair looks and feels the best whenever I use this dye. Some say it's bad for ur hair, but my hair is always healthy looking/feeling after using it. The brown shades truely do shimmer and sparkle which is why I love it, alot of dark dye's will give u shiney hair but it will be 1 flat color, Feria gives u gorgeous dimension. It smells great for a dye and the conditioner is so nice.

Ugh! Worst home hair dye ever!! I usually use Preference or Excellence and have done everything from bleaching to darkening with Loreal products with great results, esp given the price and the fact its drugstore dye. Feria was on sale and the box colours looked so pretty I decided to go for it. Big fat huge freaking mistake. Dried the absolute s*#t out of my hair, made it a crazy orangey blonde colour, the conditioner was also crap and didn't moisturize my hair at all. I had to use a chelating treatment the next morning to remove some of the dye and ran to the store (with a hat on) and bought my tried and true Preference. Voila! Gorgeous hair colour again, even DH loves the colour (medium blonde type colour from a super duper dark shade)m much better conditioner too. I cracked up writing this review because an ad came on the tv saying how Feria was voted best dye by consumers! Which ones?! Lol . Will never ever ever buy again.

I have been using this for a minute. I do love the color (black) but doesnt last that long. It fades really fast and for the life of me I could not figure out why my hair was always so dry. Then one day I was at a friend house and the commerical came on and she said that this hair color is not good fro your hair it dries your hair out. So I decided to read some reviews on it and BAM everyone is saying the same thing. The only best thing about this Hair Color is the conditioner, But after this review I will not be using it again!!!!

I have used silver blonde on my hair two times now. my hair is naturally medium-dark brown, so i didnt expect anything even resembling silver blonde. instead, it is a pretty strawberry blonde, not yellow, not orange thou, so im really happy with it, because blonde dye usually lightens my hair only a few shades, and it becomes reddish light brown.

Color me bad - L'OREAL'S FERIA

I'm not the biggest fan of the Feria line of hair colour. If you have dark-brown or black hair, there's slim pickings. The two darkest shades will work if your hair is a true jet or blue-black. What I need is an in-between shade between darkest brown and black.

Feria is for those who like bold shades in their hair. With this product, the whole world will know you colour your hair as there's nothing natural about some of the shades in the line.
If however, you have blonde or Titian tresses, Feria has plenty of shades to choose from.

Feria's colour doesn't last more than a fortnight before the gray shows through. For a few days, you get the usual gleam to your hair.

~ And Feria left my hair feeling dry and straw-like, as if all the moisture was leached out of it. The ends were stiff and and wiry and all the deep treatments couldn't help. It's harsh on the scalp - mine felt tight and itchy for a week afterwards.

(What IS great about Feria is the accompanying conditioner. That discovery alone made the Feria experiment worthwhile for me.)

Since then, I've gone back and forth between Clairol Nice N' Easy in Soft Black, Natural Black & Darkest Brown; L'oreal's Preference in Natural Black; Clairol's 10 Minute colour in Black and Dark Brown (again, no in-between shade bridging black and dark brown!; L'Oreal's line for dark hair in Sally Beauty Supply; Garnier's new 10 Minute colour in Soft Black - and Revlon's Colorsilk.

** And say what they will, ALL of the above have the gray's peeking out within a week or two, and that despite not washing the hair for 2 days post-colour AND using the appropriate shampoo/conditioner for colour-treated hair.

I don't plan on using Feria again unless there are one or two new shades for really dark hair instead of the lacklustre options L'Oreal offers us at present. Boring shades I can live with if my hair feels reasonably soft ~ but boring AND dry combined? I think NOT.

And THAT'S why I no longer use L'Oreal's Feria ~ because I'M worth it.

I HATED THIS! It completely ruined my hair. I got a blond shade and ended up with yellow hair, with green and orange streaks. It fried my locks and I ended up having to chop off half of my hair. From the bottom of my shoulderblades, up to my chin.

That alone explains this product from hell.

I dyed my hair using the Rich Mahogany shade. I love it! In today's economy, one of the things that I just can't afford is the visit to the salon for color or highlights anymore. I wanted something that had some POP and this was it! It's a rich, dark brown with red undertones that show up in certain lighting. Very nice. My hair is a little dry, but my previous color was brown with bleached highlights. I'll try this line again, Feria has some nice colors to try.

I used this in 72 Caramel Kiss and found it to be a lovely, shiny, flattering shade. This haircolor applies evenly and doesn't run down the back of my neck. I like that I don't have to snip off the top of the container to apply the color after mixing it and that it has some sort of oil that you also mix into the color that improves its smell. The included gloves are thick enough to allow you to all necessary hair application movements without the slightest risk of ripping them (although they are quite large for my hands).
The included conditioner comes in a largish tube good for several weeks of once-weekly application and has a small screw-on top. The conditioner smells kind of like fabric softener and while it does not make my hair particularly soft (as opposed to say, redken all-soft) it does leave nice shine and my hair felt as strong and healthy after coloring as it did before. While I like the tube of conditioner better than the difficult-to-rip packets of conditioner included in some other box dyes, I keep dropping the tiny screw-on lid in the shower!
The haircolor shade itself is fantastic, a warm, glowing dark blonde that has garnered many unsolicited compliments. On my naturally dark blonde (with some grey) hair, it lightened it a little, warmed it up and blended away my grey in a way that looks natural, not orange-ish or bright yellow. For reference, I look better in warm reds or blondes (used henna for several years, for example). While this dye is more expensive than many other drugstore brands, I will suck it up and buy it on sale and with coupons when possible because I reallly love the color. Alas, this particular shade is only available in certain stores in my area (hope this does NOT mean it is being discontinued)!

This is my all time favorite hair color. But because I need to purchase several boxes to color my hair,I just can't justify buying it.Instead I use Revlons Colorsilk & love the results.True, they dont have as many amazing colors as Feria to choose from, but unless I cut all my hair of(which I doubt)or I stop being such a tight wad,Colorsilk is where I'll be!

I bought the blue black dye called starry night. My natural hair color is light brown & I only touch up my roots once a month. Lately I've been using nice n easy's blue black but decided to try something new. I used to dye my hair blonde & occasionally used feria & got good results. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the blue black color. Initially, my roots looked really blue. It seemed like I just dyed my roots blue. The black was second to the blue. This has been s forts for me because usually blue tints aren't too prominent in black dyed, but this is the exception. The problem is that my roots looked purely blue which FADED DRAMTICALLY. I read these reviews before trying & I wholeheartedly agree with the reviews complaining about the color fading. It fades so much it acts like a Demi perminant color. Instead of having the usually half inch of root growth, I have over an inch of outgrowth because what I touched up last month faded COMPLETELY. I think the formulation is lacking in staying power. I wanted to try the regular black dye but forget it, it's not worth t if it's just going to fade away. I do not recommend the blue-black color at all.

Back when Feria came out years ago, I was hooked. Over the years however, this product has gone down hill... at least the black shades anwyay. My hair is naturally dark brown and twice in the past years I've tried different shades of their black collection, aiming for a very rich deep outcome, and both times the colour has quickly washed out into flat light colours.... after a few washes, my hair was lighter than my natural colour!!
Sorry Feria, won't be trying you again.

Feria by L'Oreal is the only at home coloring product I will ever use. I have been using various Feria shades for 5 or so years, and have never had the tones come out orange or brassy, whether I'm using a blonde, red, or brown dye. My current Feria shade is "light reddish brown," and I'm absolutely impressed. The colors have all complimented my skin tone, whether I use a warm or a cool color (I'm a mac NC40 just for reference.) They all start out significantly darker than the package indicates, but after one or two washings, they fade out to the color they are supposed to be. After that, there really is no fading whatsoever. The color lasts until you change it. The Feria line comes with the developer, the toner, a shimmer package, and a really nice, thick tube of conditioner, that lasts easily 6 weeks. The condition of my hair has never suffered after using this product. If anything, it's actually improved. The color itself has a conditioner built in, and the additional conditioner keeps my colored hair smooth, soft, and shiny. I'm impressed, and will always stick to L'Oreal hair color.

I have used Feria twice within the span of about two weeks. The first color that I used was T53-Cool Medium Brown. My hair is naturally a very dark ash-blonde color that I professionally highlight frequently, but I wanted to try and get back to my natural color. I chose Cool Medium Brown because my hair had so many highlights in it that I knew the brown would fade to a light brown, and some blonde would streak through eventually if I washed it enough. Assumptions correct; my hair went to a light brown after about five washes, but it was too ashy.

So, I went back and purchased 73 Golden Sunset, which is a dark golden blonde. I am no professional by any means, but I guessed that if I put a golden color over my ash, it would put at least some gold in my hair. I now have a beautiful, golden light brown color that looks really darn natural. I've had this color for about five days and it hasn't faded or changed. I *do* have to use Clairol Shimmer Lights in Blonde to minimize unwanted colors. I noticed that I when I first put Golden Sunset on, my roots wanted to turn a brassy color, so I slathered Shimmer Lights on and left it on for about two minutes.

Worst haircolour of life. I bought a brunette that specifically said ASH on it...and it turned my hair red. Since when does ash mean red?? It neutrilizes red!!

I am NOT impressed right now with this haircolour.

EDIT: I'm starting to get used to this colour - it's starting to grow a little bit on me. I still am not pleased with the amount of red it put in my hair though (some light it looks quite reddish and other light it looks to be an ash brown....)

I just used Havana Brown and have to admit it's the best dye I've ever tried! I've been dying my hair for about 10 years and I've tried tons of different shades and brands. This shade has to be my fav ever and I'm going to repurchase it for sure. It made my dark brown hair a pretty medium brown shade that looks natural and shiney. The conditioner was thick and left my hair feeling healthy. It comes with 25 volume developer and I think it was perfect for getting my hair about 2 shades lighter with no brassiness.
