This stuff is awful for anyone who has pale, sensitive skin like me. I've used it for a little over three months, and it made my skin so dry and red. IF YOU HAVE VERY PALE SKIN I WARN YOU NOT TO USE THIS PRODUCT!! The third step is rough on your skin and causes extreme redness it is awful! Also, my eyebrows have been bleached along with towels, pillows, and some of my clothes. Everything about it is such a hassle. It's really not worth the money or the time.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Acne-prone, Olive, Warm Hair: Black, Relaxed, Medium Eyes: Brown
I luckily followed the instructions and did a test patch on my neck first before using the products on my face because I developed a sore, burning hot, itchy rash for a few days. I have sensitive, acne-prone skin so this personally didn't work for me as I have realised now that I am allergic to benzyl peroxide which is what most of the ProActiv system uses. Just thought I would let anyone know if they want to try it out, please please pleaseeee do a test patch first!

i used this for about a year - hoping each time i got a new shipment of the products from the "club" that maybe it just took a while for it to work. i'd tried everything else and this was such an expensive waste. i found after using this that my skin was MORE oily than before, and my acne had improved but not by a whole lot. i'd say give this a shot - even though it didn't work for me, it obviously does for a lot of people

Used to be my go to system years ago but my skin just doesn't feel the same about it anymore. After being a repeat customer for several years, my skin has become immune to the same routine and ingredients. I have found that my skin does well with salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide used together. Hoping to find another system that works for my skin.

ProActiv is expensive and it is just standard ingredients marketed very well. There is a cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. All of them irritate your face a lot if you have dry skin. It was too much for my face and left me with what looked like a rash.
Age: 30-35 Skin: Normal, Medium Hair: Brunette Eyes: Brown
I bought proactive back when all of the super hype existed. It was far too harsh for my skin and I didn't really get good results.
It broke me out for 3 weeks which I thought was clearing up my skin but then the irritation never subsided until I came off. Not a big fan at all

I'm writing a review on what I saw my friend go through with this junk. She has mild to moderate acne and decided this would be the way to go. I was at her house when the order came in (she did the thing where they automatically send it to you) So anyway, she was so excited to try it and did so while I was there. All seemed to be well when I left her house. The next day I went to see her at work and her face looked like someone had ground it into the concrete! It was VERY red and even had a bruised look to it. There were bleeding areas on her forehead and around her mouth and eyes and her eyes were so swollen she could barely open them. I insisted on taking her to the ER and have them look at it. The doctor said she had a reaction to the chemicals in it. Now, mind you, she has used SA and Benzoyl before with no problems, but whatever they put in this garbage ate her face off! It was so awful to look at and her pain level was off the charts! She has been scarred and is so much worse than before putting this on her face. The doc also said she was lucky she got in when she did as infection was setting in, in her eyes!!! They gave her steroids, antibiotic eye ointment, pain meds and some cream to put on her face. It took months for things to calm down! If someone tried to give this to me, I would burn it! It pisses me off to even see the commercials for this crap! My friend is the sweetest person ever and just canceled the order. Then they kept charging her for it!!! She had to shut down her credit card to stop them from taking money out. I would have talked to a lawyer, but she is too nice and just let it go....grrrrr!!!!! If you value your skin, stay as far away from this "molten lava in a bottle" as you can!!!!

I tried for the first time in high school when everyone I knew was on it. It didn't work at all but keep in mind this was the time when my hormones were going absolutely crazy and breakouts were an ever day struggle. Ahhh puberty puberty
I stopped taking for a few years and was sold after seeing Jessica Simpson representing it (I am truly a sucker for marketing). I really don't react well to this kit at all. It must be something to do with salicilyic acid or benzoyl because my pale sensitive skin gets very irritated.
Cost: about 40 dollars after shipping
Products: Cleanser, toner, and lotion type product
I would recommend to those who react well to salicylic and benzoyl but not people with sensitive skin :(

Seriously, who hasn't heard of or tried proactiv yet? LOL
The system isn't as bad as a lot of you make it out to be but definitely not what the commercials make it to be. It didn't do a whole lot for my skin in terms of making it looks better but I think the cleansers are decent quality.

This was honestly the ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! This was the first time I have ever bought any type of treatment. I don't have horrible acne just a few pimples and some blackheads here and there. For my birthday I got the 3-step system from a friend because she knew I wanted to try it. I started 3 days ago and I was super excited to have clear skin. WRONG! My had a bad reaction to it and is now itchy red and dry. It's been like this for 2 days now and isn't going away. It literally feels like it ate all my skin off. It's completely unbearable I had to leave work. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT! I am now not going to be able to enjoy halloween!!! Thanks proactiv for messing up my face !!!!!
