Would I buy this product again? It's ALL I BUY!! Anytime I venture to something else I notice the difference immediately and go running back to this shampoo. I have fine hair but a lot of it and this shampoo works great for me. My hair doesn't get tired of it, nor do I get build up. Can't rave enough about this. Also, I never have to use conditioner with this shampoo (I only use a dab of Fredric Fekkai's glossing cream after my hair is towel dried).

I finally caved in and decided to try the Kerastase line. I've been using it for 2 months now and it has made an amazing difference in my color treated, highlighted dry hair. My usual oily scalp with dandruff has somehow normalized because of this product and my hair is soft and shiny. I use this with the masquentense conditioner and both are HG for me.

This shampoo lives up to the hype. If you have dry or chemically treated hair this is perfect for you. I find this to be really moisturizing and it lathers nicely leaving your hair nice and quenched, but not weighed down. The smell is amazing with a nice clean scent. Overall I'm very impressed with this line and I'm so glad my salon carries it. It's sort of hard to find outside of a salon.

I was really curious about trying Kerastase products for some time and I finally splurged and bought the Bain Satin 2-the new Next Generation one (it comes in the white bottle and not the orangey colored one). I am really impressed. I thought that they sudsing action was nice, not too much, and the scent was light. My long, blond highlighted hair looked silky smooth and it was easy to comb. The interesting thing about this shampoo is that you don't need much conditioner at all. I just put a little on the ends. I now understand what all the hype about Kerastase is---Just wish that I would have bought it when I lived in Paris for two years!

This is very good for hair that's been fried by sun, surf and colouring. Leaves damaged hair feeling silky soft. I only use it when necessary as it tends to make fine hair like mine very limp.

I love this shampoo! Yes, I agree it is expensive..I think I am addicted to the smell..like fresh laundry...very clean. My hair is better than before I used it. I use the Oleo-relax once a week also. I do love these products, I just wish they were less expensive...but I'm worth it!!!!

love this shampoo, makes my hair very beautiful. very high quality shampoo! It was the first shampoo I used doing something good to my hair and scalp and not only cleansing it, stripping it or even demaging it.

Hands down the best shampoo I've ever used. My hair is luscious and healthy when I shampoo with this!! I don't mind the scent- it's sort of like limes- but I'm not a fan of the packaging. It's sort of hard to use in the shower. I transferred it to a different squeeze bottle. If you're going go France, stock up there-- it's about half the price as in the USA.

Always a guaranteed good hair day when I use this! Although I also use Masquintense for fine hair, Expanseur Extra-Corps and Lumiere Nutri-Sculpt everytime I use this shampoo, so I think it may be the combination of the products that really works for me. It's nice gentle shampoo that doesn't weigh my hair down. I personally like the scent as well, sort of Dove soap-ish. The only thing I can say that would be negative would be the rather expensive price tag.

I’ve been using Kerastase off and on for years but never tried Bain Satin 2 before. I wish I’d tried it sooner! It leaves my fine, heat styled, long, frizz-prone blonded hair so soft and silky with minimal frizz. Like others have mentioned, the fragrance isn’t one of its strong points: it reminds me of an insect spray, but I can handle the smell when the results are this good. Will definitely repurchase and highly recommend for girls with frizz-prone and/or slightly dry hair.

I loved this during the first few washes, then all of a sudden I started seeing white flakes and getting an oily/greasy scalp...yuck!! Boo-hoo! I really thought this was the shampoo of my dreams...great lather, awesome smell and didn't bother my scalp at first. I think it would work well for the majority of you out there, it's just that I have an ultra sensitive scalp and finding a poo has been one heck of a challenge.

Having taken the past 7 years of growing my hair out, it's finally at a length that I'm really happy with. But it is naturally wavy/curly and the wear and tear from styling over the years, regardless of the regular trims, has put a beating on the ends. I tried Keratase's Bain 2 and can't say that I'm thrilled with it. Think I prefer the Oleo Relax, but can only use that during the summer months as it's too heavy for me in the winter.

I bought this by mistake - I meant to buy no 3, but I have found it really, really good. My hair is ravaged and fried and this is one of the few products I trust with it. After one wash my hair is noticeably softer and detangled. You only need a little bit, so it isn't as expensive as it seems.

I didn't give it 5 because I felt it wasn't anything ground breaking, just very very good.

I wouldn't use it if your hair isn't very danaged though because I think it would leave biuld up, but if you have killed your poor like me, definitely give it a go - it's very gentle and nicely moisturizing.

I just bought this shampoo and it did help moisturize my fine, damaged hair. My hair dresser informed me that I was using volumizing shampoos which was making my hair tangled, on top of the already damaged part. Duh! How do we get through life without knowing these things? Anyway, I wish I could find something less expensive, but for now I'll be using this every 2 or 3 days when I shampoo. I'm going to research ordering from the UK, where it is loads cheaper.

I HAVE TO SAY I LOVE THIS AND ALL KERESTASE PRODUCTS. I HAVE USED CHEAPER AND MORE EXPENSIVE AND ALWAYS GO BACK TO KERESTASE.
MY HAIR IS COLOURED BY AN EXCELLENT COLOURIST THESE DAYS (THE SAME ONE AS A CERTAIN ROYAL WIFE GOES TO!) AND THEY SELL IT THERE EVEN THOUGH THEY SELL THEIR OWN BRAND TOO. OK IT'S NOT YOUR AVERAGE BRAND PRICE BUT IT IS AFFORDABLE AND YOU DO GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR IN THIS INSTANCE.
I USED TO GO TO A DIFFERENT COLOURIST AND MY HAIR WAS FALLING OUT DUE THE HARSH CHEMICALS. KERESTASE PRODUCTS TURNED THAT AROUND.
I VARY THE TYPE FROM TIME TO TIME DEPENDING ON WEATHER/IF I'M RUN DOWN ETC. BUT YOU CAN RELY ON IT TOTALLY. I WOULDN'T USE ANY OTHER BRAND NOW.
A TIP. IT'S BETTER TO USE THE SHAMPOO, CONDITIONER AND TREATMENTS OF THE SAME BRAND AT THE SAME TIME. TRY IT FOR YOURSELF.

I absolutely love this shampoo! It has given my hair more shine, more manageability and my hair is no longer dry. In general, no other shampoo makes my hair look and feel quite as good as this one does. I also love the scent because it is not sickly sweet or heavy like other shampoos can be and it reminds me of being in the salon. I use the Lait Vital Proteine conditioner with it and I love that too. For a while, I was hesitant to buy Kerastase, but I'm so glad did because it is an excellent product line worth every penny.

My hair was completely dried out and looked like straw, because of all that colouring. Then, my coiffeur recommended this amazing shampoo. At first I hesitated, because many people around me (including mu ex-coiffeur) told me that Kerastase was a marketing scam for the rich and desperate. But Bain Satin 2 proved that these rumours were all wrong. I used it for 6 months and my hair was finally saved. Then I switched to Elseve's Nutri-Ceramid, which is a lot cheaper. But whenever my hair goes bad, I know there's a tested and proven cure out there for me.

I was somewhat disappointed with this shampoo, primarily because I love the Oleo-Relax version so much. The smell is absolutely wonderful, and the lather is rich and seems like it would be good for dry hair like mine. However, after using this along with Masquintense, it seemed to only make my hair drier, is that possible? Guess I'm in the minority here, but I don't think this will be an HG for me anytime soon. I love the Kerastase products though, what a shame!

Great product. The girl who did my hair recommended this to me, as I had explained to her my concern for my ever-damaged hair (due to colouring, and the occasional ceramic curling). With that said, I've been using Bain Satin 2 for one month now and my hair is definitely feeling softer and less dry. It does protect colour, but not as well as the other lines that Kerastase have. I find myself washing my hair every 3 days, which is alot better than every 2 because now I don't have to worry too much about colour fading. Plus for the price that it is, I definitely want the bottle to last me awhile. The shampoo is best used as so: for every 2 days, you only need to lather/rinse ONCE. For every three days, lather and rinse a very small amount the first time, then repeat the process again with abit more shampoo (more than the first wash). I find the 2nd time sees alot more lathering. Overall, I love this product, I will purchase again, but probably through Strawberry Net as it's much cheaper there.

23/7/10 - Update: No longer a fan of the Bain Satin range. Too expensive and I found my hair got use to it and felt quite flat and oily. Will just spend the money on the conditioners from Kerastase.
