This cream is not really expensive, but it also break me out, gave me some little red bumps on my skin. I used for quite a while, my nose start flaking and I couldn't put foundation or make up on my nose. It didn't resolve any problems for me, it did nothing. I will continue using Benefiance, the one for eye treatment is a miracle (better than the Estee Lauder Lift Extreme, Lancome eye creams), the stuff that really gets rid of my eye lines. Don't waste money on the Bio-Performance line. It is inferior to Benefiance.

I have dry skin, live in a dry city, have clear skin, and do not have sensative skin. i'm 33, and i've been using it since about 26 (i think?). i keep on trying to find something better, but i always end up coming back to this product. it clears up any dry patches that i am prone to getting on my face in the winter. i really miss this product in the winter if i am w/o it. it gives me soft supple skin w/o being petroleum jelly like consistency, however it isn't a sheer cream. i find it works just as well as the sample of kanebo's sensai that i used for 2 weeks, but it's more than 1/2 the price of sensai. (however sensai is lighter). i get the same effect especially using the bioperformance w/ estee lauder's renutriv softening lotion.

Inspite of my acne prone oily skin, this moisturizer worked so well. I only need a tiny dot size of this product for brilliant skin overnight. I started having that peachy glowing skin . It does not cause break out on my oily skin. Great as a night moisturizer. I only use this product occasionally when I get dry winter skin. Highly recommend this skin care.

I don't know how many times I've bought this moisturizer. I'm 34 and I've been buying this for years and years. I've got dry skin and it keeps me moisturized all day. Coupled with the balancing softener (not Enriched) it keeps me dewey soft all day. Sometimes it's on sale at Costco, I used to stock up but I now buy the big jar. The ladies at the counter poo poo the Costco offerings saying that it may be old product, but I haven't noticed a difference. But I think I did the math and the big jar with a gift with purchase (handy travel sizes of the skincare products I already use) is a better value. And then when you buy it on Nordstrom Customer Appreciation nights (10 points per dollar) - well that's even better.

Expensive yes, but definitely worth it. My skin is extremely dry in the winter, but I have an oily t-zone. This cream keeps my face moisturized without making me break out in my t-zone. It doesn't feel heavy when you put it on and it isn't oily like a lot of heavy creams. It's perfect for those with very dry skin.

Nice heavy duty moisturizer. I tried so many moisturizers (from olay, avene to sisley, and etc) to sooth my severely dehydrated/ damaged skin due to a bad reaction to a product, and it is one of the most efficient moisturizers I have found. It's very rich, but it does not sit on top of the skin, and moisturizes dry, damaged skin like no other cream I tried. As one of the reviewers said, it contains what shiseido calls bio hyaluronic acid and maybe it helps. I find the scent not too strong. My gripes are its high % silicone content (2nd and 4th ingr) & sticky/ slightly greasy texture. It does not work well under makeup. It's a very heavy duty product, so I would not recommend it except to dry/ very dry skin. *** Update *** After using this cream for 2+ months, I suspect that this cream triggered dermatitis flareup around my mouth (- some lippies). I never had clogged pores/ bumps in this area. It got better when I changed moisturizer, but whenever I gave it another chance, the bumps came back immediately. Would not recommend for sensitive/ in any way blemish prone skin.

I love this moisturizer. I am using it at night along with my Renova because of all the dryness, and it isn't hurting, stinging, or itching! The trick is to use enough for me - otherwise, it isn't as soothing. It does absorb, and my skin is looking nice - the look of plasticated alligator cells and pores is repairing itself in the areas I do not use Renova. There is a difference between expensive product and cheap stuff, and I've tried them all - this is on my list of favourites and I would repurchase for use as a night cream.

so far the best moisturizer I`ve had although the first one this expensive I`ve bought so I donīt have direct comparison. Usually I use Avene stuff. I have mixed skin, rather dry on the cheeks and especially the chin tends to show some blackheads. I bought this cream because I was told that it would keep of signs of age, etc.. I always am very hesitant to buy expensive products because my boyfriend always laughs about me, telling me that I can ask every chemist to find out that ingredients are always similar and never justify the costs.

But: my skin is in better condition than it has ever been. The biggest difference is that my skin feels babysoft and still moisturized after I wash it at night. Before using this cream it always felt dry after cleaning it and I felt that I could slap tons of cream in it. Here a little goes a long way and I mean this literally: you just need to use a tiny bit. I am a little sceptical about the feeling of my skin because it feels a little like having a film on the skin. I did not break out on it though and I have been using it for a month now.

I hate the packaging though. although attractive, the glas packaging takes up space plus I really donīt like when I have to take out the cream out of a glass. I usually am too lazy to use a spatula and it seems so not hygienic.

all in all: I`ll keep buying it untill I find better.

Personally, I don't know what all the hype is concerning this product and why this is always featured in magazines as their top picks for skin care. I have really dry skin and this was recommended by a SA that this contains a high percentage of hyaluronic acid (which retains moisture in the skin). After using this for a week, I have to say that this was not moisturing enough for my skin. This cream has a gel-like texture which I didn't care for. Also, although this did leave my face feeling some-what silky, I found it to be a little sticky. Overall, I would reccomend this cream for anyone except those with truly dry skin. Otherwise, this would be a fab cream.

not sure about this product. it's somewhat heavy and great for dry skin in the winter. did a nice job moisterizing, but cream felt kind of heavy and i didn't notice any significant difference in my skin. don't feel that it provides any benefits that i would not find in some other product. wouldn't recommend for summer time since the texture is pretty thick/heavy.

So far, this is my favorite moisturizer in the fall/winter. it truly softens the skin yet doesn't leave your face sticky. great absorbency. i have very sensitive skin and this doesn't make me itch at all unlike some other shiseido products. it's expensive and a jar lasts me about 2-3 months with 2-3 applications a day.

This is-hands down- the best moisturizer on earth for seriously dry skin. But the price is really high...*edit* Sept07: I find that this is no longer a HG candidate. It is sticky, yet not very moisturizing, and I have a suspicion that it actually clogs my pores. Sorry, I thought it was true love...

This is a perfect cream for ladies in their 30's (or let's say 25-40). It is very moisturizing, anti-oxidant, anti-fatigue and you can use it day&night. For sure this is one of the best Shiseido creams.

This has been a miracle for my delicate, combo, sensitive skin that is prone to milla and redness. My skin now looks so alive, healthy, calm and clear. My skin hasn't looked this good since junior high (I'm 25).

It moisturizes my skin to perfect velvet w/o clogging my pores (my pores seem less noticeable now because this plumps the skin around them) and the primrose in it calms any irritations. HG for me.

First of all I have very delicate and sensitive dry-combo (depending on the season) Asian skin. My mother uses this regularly at night and gave me the GWP size. I use this on my under-eye area at night or dry spots b/c I find it too rich to use it all over the face. If you have an oily face, it will probably give you pimples/milla. I have a few fine lines under my eyes since childhood and I don't notice any difference after about 7 months use. After I put it on, the cream does plump and moisturize the area but it's temporary. For dry spots it does a good job of moisturizing. Over time regular use on a part of my face (not under the eye) it does make it soft but nothing dramatically different or as lasting as it says it will.

For me, this really sucks as a base for concealer b/c it sits on the skin and pills under makeup. Since it is slow to absorb, it leaves the skin shiny and slightly sticky/greasy but if you use this at night it's not a big deal b/c nobody will see you anyways. It has a gel-cream texture and has a heavy floral(?)-pine fragrance which I find irritating but it hasn't given me a rash. I'm not sure what is in it but it makes my skin sort of tingle (not in a menthol/minty way). Overall, good (night) cream for those with dry rough skin but I don't really see what makes this different from other face creams. Maybe my skin isn't the type this cream is targeted to (I'm 23) but I still won't buy this for myself, it's not worth the price.

i like this product. i used it for a short time. it is a little too creamy for the summer, but i love it when my skin is extremely dry in the winter. i eventually got the whitening formula, which is a bit more expensive (the regular is $67 and whitening is $92 for 1.7 oz), but it works great.

I really like this cream. If I had the money, I would purchase my own little pot. Unfortunately, because I am poor, I use my mother's supply. Because I feel guilty, I'll only use it if my skin desperately needs it - extremely dry patches. But, when I do use it, it works wonderful magic on my skin. Sometimes I'll use it even if my skin is not super dry ... it makes my skin velvety smooth and soft. I can't see using this everyday though, it is quite rich and expensive.

This isn't pricey. La Mer is pricey. Well, this misterizer is good. More moisterizing than the Advance Super Revitalizer when it comes to mositrizing even though the other one do leave your face soft and not greasy at all. Will repurchase, my mother bought them. I just tried it and wow they both are great. And smells great too.
