I switch between shampoos - depending on how my hair feels that day. The gentle and seaweed shampoos are the only ones that I can use on a daily basis without my hair getting too oily. I really like the smell of this shampoo.

This product was recommended to me b/c I have highlighted hair and when I'm not using the Treatment series, I'm supposed to use a lighter shampoo. I do not like the scent at all, and the shampoo left my hair feeling like straws, and puffy.

I used this at the suggestion of my haridresser. It's OK, but I don't think it's good for processed hair. When I'm done shampooing my hair is just really dry and knotted up so I have to gob in the conditioner to get a comb thru it. It may be gentle but it definitely is not moisturizing at all. I now use Aveda Restructurizing Shampoo.

Product is very expensive but I suspect it is because of the frangrance which is pleasant and not offensive. Buy this product if you want a shampoo that smells great and leaves hair clean and easy to comb through, not heavy. This is the best shampoo that I have tried for my fine color treated hair. if you think all shampoos just clean and are all the same and you don't mind the cheap smell of other brands this is not for you!

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! I have ultra-straight, shiny, long hair. I wash it every day and so I need to use a gentle shampoo. I'm usually an Aveda die-hard, but decided on this as a change, and WOW! This stuff smells great (a light, honey-toned scent), lathers and rinses well, and leaves my hair soft (softer than Aveda Shampure)and clean (but not stripped). I use this in conjunction with the Bumble and Bumble Super Rich Conditioner, which I also love, so I'll review it separately. Drawback = price, but this has become a must-have HG, so I'll have to suck it up.

I was really impressed with this. It's super creamy and super moisturizing, but the only thing I don't get is why they have Ammonium L. Sulfate in this? It's one of the harshed sulfates ever, so if it's suppose to be a gentle poo, then why have such harsh sulfates? It's not listed in the first few ingredients, so maybe there's only a trace of it. Oh well! That's the only reason I took 1 lippie off, other than that I really like this shampoo and prob. won't stop using it b/c of that Amm.sulfate. I'm going to try the Seaweed poo next and see how that is, since I love the conditioner.
Ingredients:
Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Cocamide DEA, Coco Betaine, Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, Avocado Oil, Comfrey Extract, Nettle Extract, Polyquaternium-7, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Polyquaternium-11, PEG-150 Distearate, Propylene Glycol, Sodium tyrene/Acrylates/Divinylbenzene Copolymer, Ammonium Nonoxynol-4-Sulfate, Citric Acid, Sodium Chloride, Methylparaben, Diazolidinyl Urea, Fragrance, FD&C Green 3, FD&C Yellow 5

I got this shampoo and use it with the Super Rich conditioner. I noticed a big difference in the thickness of my hair and got more volume. I was impressed and looked forward to using it again. I can't really tell if this line is hydrating for my hair or not...my hair feels a little straw-like. However, I do not know if this necessarily means that there is not enough moisture. Perhaps this is where the nice volume comes from since it does not make my hair limp. My hair looks noticibly nicer after styling. It rinses out easily which is a plus. So far, I would definitely buy this again.

I switched to B&B Gentle Shampoo after using Kerastase Bain Satin for two years. I loved the Kerastase but it was starting to leave my hair very difficult to manage. I love the Gentle Shampoo - I have fine hair that is colored and the Gentle Shampoo is the right balance of cleaner. It cleans my hair without stripping it or leaving it so heavy that it is impossible to style. I bought this in the 33.8 oz size at Zitomer in New York and I know that it's also available in this size on Amazon.com. It is a pricey product and buying it in the large size can save you a few dollars. UPDATE: I had to deduct a lippie because I have found that using this shampoo too much can make my hair pretty lifeless and hard to style. I use it, now, after my hair has been colored or when my hair needs some TLC and it is great on those occasions.

I'm so scared of using the wrong shampoo on my blonde/highlighted hair, but I trust b&b gentle implicitly. It lathers like a charm, but never strips my hair or its color. My hairdresser swears by it for all of her color clients, and so do I.

I have highlighted hair, and Gentle Shampoo is one of the few formulas I've tried that doesn't make my hair feel like straw afterwards. It doesn't really produce a lot of lather, which can be a little misleading, but it does its job and doesn't strip my hair. It also has this fresh, rich scent that I can't really put my finger on, but I've always gotten compliments from whoever happens to be close enough to detect it ;)

(I have long normal/healthy hair, that is thick but fine and easy to style...)I fell in love with this shampoo and conditioner about 7 years ago at a salon and still love it. No other shampoo/conditioner smells as nice. If you've ever eaten butter and honey swirled together and served on toast, biscuits, etc; this smells exactly the way that tastes. I can sympathize with other reviewers who think it is overpriced, and I believe we all have products we choose draw the line on (price-wise); but I think it's worth every penny. Purchasing online and grabbing the big bottles are a couple of ways to get more bang for your buck I've been on the hunt for years for another organic shampoo and conditioner that cost less and make my hair as happy as Bumble and Bumble. It has yet to happen.

I must say this is my HG shampoo after trying so many brands, cheap and expensive, I have finally found it. I bought the 2oz size at a salon to try and I have fell in love. I have long naturally curly hair, which is fine in texture and is highlighted, so my hair is a little on the dry side. This shampoo is perfect. I will definitely buy again, but the larger size this time.

I love this shampoo, and along with the Extra Rich Conditioner, this has been my routine for years. It lives up to its name, and never strips hair or leaves it feeling dry or frizzy.

This shampoo is WONDERFUL. I've tried almost everything on my hair and this is the first time that I have been IN LOVE with a shampoo. It is gentle, it cleans wonderfully and doesn't have an offensive aroma. I color my hair and it hasn't stripped it of color or moisture, nor has it weighed down my fine (yet abundant) strands. In short, GO BUY IT....GO BUY IT NOW! :o)

I have repurchased this many times, and I think I will continue to do so. It is kind of pricey, but it is a great shampoo for color treated hair. My hair is highlighted, but the majority of products for color treated hair just weigh mine down. I rotate this with other shampoos since I love to try new products, but this one always remains in the rotation.

This shampoo has a pleasant smell, and it cleaned my hair nicely without making it feel dry. However, I noticed that even though it's meant to be for chemically treated hair, it stripped the color out of my hair more so than some of my other shampoos, which I did not like. . . not after paying a bomb to get my hair highlighted and sitting in the salon for 4 hours! A mediocre shampoo, but nothing fantastic for the price I paid for it, the amount I got, and the results.

Great shampoo! I have very damaged hair due to highlights. I had been using all these intensely moisturizing shampoos thinking they would solve my problems. Wrong! I bought the travel size of this Gentle shampoo for a trip, and wa laa! within 2-3 uses my hair seemed much more healthy, shiny and more manageable. I think I was just over-treating my hair. I use this with just a tad of the Leave-In Conditioner and the condition of my hair has never looked better. That's saying a lot considering that a week ago the condition of my hair had never looked worse! I'll definitely be buying the full-size bottle of this shampoo.
