Things I like:
1. Matches my skin magically. A touch too yellow but I'm happy there's even yellow in it! Most foundations are too beigey pink for me. The only other foundation I'd consider is MUFE High Def foundation but it's totally out of my price range. I mean $46 for foundation? Really?
2. Easy to blend with light to medium coverage. It's not too liquidy and when applied in light layers it can be built up without caking.
3. Doesn't irritate my skin at all and great that it has spf 15.
Things I don't like:
1. No pump. It's very dumb to have to buy one seperately but that's what MAC does. Apparently they don't have enough money so they make us buy pumps seperately. Goodness.
2. Its too expensive for the amount given. I use this everyday and I can't afford buying $30 foundation every three months. That's $120 a year! If I didn't have acne scars and uneven skin tone I wouldn't be using it every day.
Overall good product, just not worth the price tag. I'm sure there's really good foundation that lasts a reasonable amount of time for the same or lesser price than MAC. I'm still going to try their mineralize foundations..

This product can either be light to medium supposedly that's what the Mac girl said, but I find that you can actually make it heavy. I prefer a light to medium coverage because I don't like my face to feel heavy and have a cakey feeling to my face. This product actually isn't too bad since I've heard a lot of bad things about Mac. This is actually my first foundation product that I've ever tried from Mac. The color is actually nice and very blend able when you use a brush. At first I was very hesitant about this product 'cause of all the bad reviews but it's actually not bad at all. When I was at the Mac counter I took one pump and tried to blend the foundation with my hands but it felt very thick but when I went home and tried it at home it actually isn't too bad. I'm a Nc30 and it matches my skin perfectly. A little amount is all you need and you just need to dot it on your face and then blend it with a brush. It gives you a nice matte dewy finish.

Very mixed reviews on here, but I really like it! I've been wearing it for about a week now, I got it in a swap and it seems to be working well. I hardly ever break out unless I try a new product, and it's very minimal. I started to get a zit from this...but it went away quickly. My skin just has to ajust. I have normal to dry skin, I sometimes see a few flakes with this, but I just put on a drop of moisterizer before and I'm good. I can see how this may not work for those with oily skin. It has light to medium coverage, and that is what I was after. I would buy again if I were to run out.

I like this foundation. It has decent coverage and a nice finish. I don't have sensitive or oily skin and I'm not prone to breakouts so there's nothing to comment about that. I like how there is an SPF and my odd scent sense I find it smells like gingerbread before it is baked-odd I know, but you'll get used to it :D

I do not like this foundation at all. This is the second MAC foundation I have tried and I think I will stay away from their foundations in future ( although I love their other products). This foundation went really blotchy on me and transfered if I touched my face at all during the day. I have fairly dry skin. I even bought the MAC pressed powder, as I thought it might help it to stay on better... no! At the end of the day my face felt dirty and I was glad to remove it! I have also started to get quite a few spots... not sure if the foundation is to blame, but I wouldn't be surprised! A definite no for me on this one!! Think I'll try Estee Lauder Double Wear or Double Wear Light.... hopefully I'll have more luck with that!!

I found that this foundation was very very difficult to use! first off no pump and I wasnt willing to buy a separate one! Secondly it was just very difficult to blend.
When I first bought it it looked like it was near enough my skin tone - i bought NC37 I knew the NC 35 was too dark for me in the Mineralise foundation of MAC's and NC30 was too light so went for Select foundation instead. However when I got home I realised it makes me appear darker but not in a really bad way kinda like bronzed and I look like ive had a nice tan but the truth is i'dd really just like a foundation that matchs my yellowy skin!! I really thought MAC was my best bet for that problem finding yellow based fdtn.. I have combination skin but i found this made my dry areas of my face show through even after tons of moisturiser and it didnt work well with a primer but thats probly coz it was silica based andd Select fdtn is water based but who knows. I will try macs other foundations maybe one more time but the next thing im gona look into is BOBBY BROWN's fdtn becuase they are yellow u based.
PS I think thi might be really good for oily skin becuase even though it so watery it dries like in a flash
oh it leaves a kind of semi matte finish but not moisturing at all

Perfect colour match, goes on easily and if used with primer lasts for the day. Also, a little goes a long way

This foundation was a total let down for me. It was very watery, and for the price I expected better coverage than I would get with a drugstore brand. It doesn't last and made my face look oily after a couple of hours. Definitely would not buy again.

i was using MAC studio fix then when my skin started improving I wanted to switch to a lighter foundation. I bought MAC select spf 15 which of course broke me out really bad. the light coverage is good and it feels natural but unfortunately caused serious acne. if you have sensitive or acne prone skin, i'd stay away from it!

got this in nc30, but I'm pretty sure I'm an nc35, constantly getting flashback face... not pretty. This foundation at first looked great for the first few hours upon wearing, but for some reason it starts to feel like it goes cakey/oily on my face. now i know it is a water based foundation, so it should prevent oiliness to appear... my face is quite dry too.... not really liking this anymore though im attempting to use it up anyways.

I was so excited i was when i first bought this. The colour for my NC15 skin was just perfect. For the first week, i thought ot was ok but created a bit of a problem skin situation. You know how that goes. You buy a good foundation and want to believe it's anything but the product. Nope. It broke me out, so it was back to the drawing board for me and my face.
Two lippies for colour, MAC. Get your finger out and give us out NC15 back! New foundation formulas are far too dark!

I actually love this foundation! I have acne-prone skin and most foundations don't work well with me. This one covers the redness and doesn't break me out. I'm an NW20 and the color matches almost exactly. Its very easy to blend and doesn't cake up on my face. Only downside is the packaging but you can add a pump.

I actually like this foundation. It worked better for me than the prowear one. I am NW20 and have really dry skin and this goes on really nice and does a a great job with the coverage. It has some matte quality to it as well as some radiance. Not quite HG b/c it does settle into pore but what foundation doesnt. I havent found any yet but still looking. Oh and the color matches me really well. The prolong wear didnt blend well and you could see the difference in my skin color and foundation.
EDIT:While it gave me great coverage and looked natural made my skin feel tight. It went back to the store.

This foundation is terrible for oily skin, even though the MA at MAC told me it is specifically targeted towards oily/combo skin. This foundation made my skin greasy by noon and I looked like an Oompa Loompa by the end of a 8-hr work day! (and yes I have tried a primer underneath) Oh and don't get me started on the acne that would not go away until I stopped using the product. And when I told the MA she just looked at me and said 'I have never heard of that happening to anyone'...sure whatever you say...so I did what any reasonable girl would do. I poured it down the drain and Back-To-MAC'd it! hahahaha

I have this in NC30, which isn't an exact match for my skin because I received it in a gift basket as part of a door prize. I have really good skin and I don't usually wear any product on it (except a light powder bronzer), but this is very nice for under my eyes and if I have a red spot here or there. Because the color doesn't match my tanned skin, I don't use it all over, not that I need to anyways.

I do really like it though, and I find that it gives good undereye coverage that is both natural looking and non-drying. Aka it doesn't look like I have coverup caked on under my eyes. The formula doesn't cake in the creases around my eyes, and it lasts until I take it off at night with makeup remover. I find that I can make it either dewy or matte in appearance, by applying it with either a wet or dry latex sponge wedge. It also goes on nicely if I apply eye cream first, and then apply this over top. Since it's a very yellow toned foundation, it combats my purple undereye circles nicely when needed.

Overall, a nice product, and I like that it has SPF15 because I use it around my eyes. However, if I was using it allover my face, I would probably avoid a product that contains any SPF because I tan (and also the issue of the classic white face in flash photography). This product gives great coverage (I've used it many times to spot cover a zit or red spot) and it does a great job at hiding any dark circles under my eyes. You can layer it too for better coverage, or wear only a little bit for sheer coverage. I like that you can layer it, because some days when I haven't slept well and have extra dark circles, I can just add a little more product and it takes care of it for me. I like that, because I don't have to spend extra money or time on a seperate under eye concealor product, I can just use this and be done in a matter of seconds. I probably won't repurchase any time soon just because I use so little that I've had a full bottle of this for almost a year now.

I generally like this foundation. I have very clear skin without almost any redness, so I love sheer, lightweight foundations. This is definitely it! It covered what I needed but still looked natural, never cake-faced. I'm NC20 and it matched 110% perfectly. It also lasted me a long time because I never had to use more than half a pump, so I would say it was definitely worth the price. I got a bit oily later in the day, but I used some blot powder & it looked fresh and perfect again.

That said, it doesn't come with a pump, so if you want to avoid messy spills or wasting product, you have to buy one (but if I recall correctly, they're pretty cheap). Also, I dislike the glass bottle. It's pretty, but I travel a lot and always got nervous it will break, so I had to wrap it in a Ziploc bag inside socks and underwear. Another issue with me is the addition of SPF. My moisturizer already has it, and when you take pictures with a flash, the SPF makes the light reflect & your face look a ton lighter than the rest of you, even though it really isn't. This has definitely ruined otherwise great photos, because it made me look like a clown.

I will repurchase this in the future, especially for use at work and other casual events. I own a TEMPTU system which I love dearly, and does not make my face too light in photos, so I will alternate between the two. Overall, a good buy!

I basically got this because I I'm not a fan of heavy coverage foundation. I don't have that much to cover on my face as well that's why this is good for me.

Pros:
For the price tag, this is worth it because it will last you a long time
Sheer light to medium coverage but buildable
Suits my oily skin fair enough
Has SPF 15! :D

Cons:
No pump included
For those who wants heavier coverage, this is not for you

I got this in shade NC30, just a half a shade lighter than my true shade which is NC 35. I used to set this with my NC35 Studio fix powder and the colors just neutralize so perfectly. But after using MAC MSFN, wow. You should go try it.

Last year, when Clinique discontinued the shade of Stay True that I had been using, I tried the MAC counter, they recommended Select SPF for my oily skin and did indeed get a good colour match (NC20) so at least I know my MAC shade. However, the product does not work well at all; after a couple of hours it goes all patchy and dry looking as well as oxidising to orange so I look like a dried out clementine - very attractive ! Have almost a full bottle waiting to include in a Back to Mac bundle.

I've spent YEARS looking for an HG foundation, and I believe I've found it in this! The price is a bit much, but on a shopping trip to the city, I stopped in to MAC as it's the closest one to me (about 8 hours away from where I live), with the intention of just grabbing some new brushes or something. I ended up walking away with this bad boy after the make up artist matched me to it, and I knew I'd regret it if I didn't get it.
I'm surprised at how low of a rating this got, because I'm in love
NW15 blends in perfectly with my skin. I've never found any other foundation that matches me quite so well. This has the perfect undertones to not make me look yellow, or dirty, or too pink or anything. I was a bit worried about it breaking me out, because of all the complaints of that happening, but I've been using it for a month noticed I haven't noticed anything at all.

I apply thing over a prime (currently, MUFE's), and set with a translucent powder, and it doesn't move until I wash it off at night. I've also seriously gotten more compliments about my complexion while wearing this than any other, so it must be doing something right!

My skin is a bit dry- it didn't always used to be like that, and I suspect if I'd tried this a few years ago when I had oily, acne-prone skin, I would have absolutely HATED it. I need about a medium amount of coverage, and this does it perfectly. It also makes my face feel really soft.

The only thing I hate about this is the price. $35CAD a bottle, I believe.i think this bottle should last me quite awhile though- a little bit does the job perfectly. Unless I find something better though, I'll keep buying this.

Horrible foundation!!! Do not recommend. I tried this from MAC for the first time after Lancome discontinued my foundation I had been wearing for years. I have very pale skin and it's hard to find foundations that work for my coloring. I chose it because the color was very close to my natural skintone. It blends ok for the first few minutes and then for some reason cakes and breaks up on the face even if coverage is applied light. Does not look natural. It's very obvious that you are wearing makeup and I got a ton of breakouts wearing this. I was so disappointed and will not purchase again.
