This eyeshadow is very frustrating. The color is nice, but the texture is awful. It is difficult to blend. And at some point my shadow got hard as a rock so now I have to scrape it to get any color on my brush. I will not re-purchase. I replaced it with Trax.

I had this used on me during a MAC makeover event. I specifically asked for a smokey eye look, and the MA used this as an all-over color and put Satin Taupe in the crease for a beautiful, evening look. :) I imagine it would look terrific on a variety of skintones and eye color (For reference, I am a MAC NC20 with brown hair and blue eyes)

Blackberry is a rich, muted plum. It pairs very well with MAC's Veluxe shadow in Dovefeather as a crease shade and a liner, and looks just as pretty paired with MAC's Pink Venus. Blackberry works beautifully with my olive NC30 skintone, I'm very happy with it :)

Heh. And I'm going to directly contradict the previous review. I received this in a swap and absolutely could not make this work for me. I tried it with all my other colors, and in every way I could imagine, and it always looked terrible. It was a maroon with strong reddish tones, and always made me look ill or tired. I've heard numerous times how this shadow is pretty with blue eyes, but it certainly didn't work with my brown ones. I swapped it away eagerly.

I'm starting to think this is a universal shadow for eyes. I use it in the crease for smokey drama, and it's a very subtle, light berry brown on me. My girlfriends use this color in different ways, and we all have a variety of different skin tones and eye colors. So far, this color looks good on everybody, depending on your application.

Great color (nice deep plum) and on my darker complexion it leaves a really nice natural look.

This is a beautiful colour. Sort of a dark berry/plum it's dark and smouldering without being too goth (though you could definately go goth with it). I found it a little hard to blend but that's easy to work around.

This shadow is a dark berry shade. I love to use this shadow as a liner or as a crease color. Blackberry shows up more plum on my skin. Really makes my hazel eyes stand out. Would definately purchase again!

This was my very first MAC shade when my makeup artist used it on my wedding day. I still love it cuz it makes my brown eyes pop in a subtle way. It's a plummy brown shade with berry undertones that is so versatile. I use it wet as an eyeliner which brings out the berry tones. Yet it's not too dark to use on the lid or crease. I recently got to the bottom of the pan and repurchased.

This was my very first MAC eyeshadow! It is a plummy grey shade that shows up more plummy on me (NC20). It looks really nice for a smokey eye, or applied lighty for a daytime look. The only rant I have for it, is that I find it a little hard to blend, probably because of the matte formula. Other than that it is a beautiful shadow!

Blackberry is a beautiful dark berry e/s that looks nearly brown when applied. What a fantastic color! Paired with MAC paint in Bamboom, my eyes look very mysterious and sexy. Though it looks fairly dark in the pot, the color deposits nicely to reveal a medium brownish color great for a night look. Blackberry also looks very nice when applied wet as a liner.

This is one of the first MAC shadows I ever purchased, and I nearly forgot I had it. The color goes on more of a "plum-gray" on me. Matte, simple, and surely a classic by now.

A dark berry shade. not really purple and not really red but in between. Very pretty with cranberry! Lasts all day without creasing! MAC shadows are the best IMO!

This is a matte medium to dark mauve berry shade. This works well in the crease or used wet as a liner. I really like the staying power and it is smooth and lasts all day on my lids.
