Got this online and when it came i immediately transferred it to a dark glass spray bottle so it would keep better and be easier to dispense. I used it for about a week underneath my twinlabs napca spray w/ aloe and at first i thought it helped to moisturize but then it seemed to be irritating my skin a little. It did absorb quickly and mixed in well with the spray. However, I know the beginning signs now when a product is not gonna work for me so i stopped using. I can use around my eyes mixed with other moisturizers but not sure if it does that much anyway. Not sure if there is a way to return it but so frustrated that the most simple product doesn't agree with my skin. I am sensitive and acne prone and right now my skin is extremely dry for some reason and i can't seem to use any moisturizers because they all seem to break me out. Hopefully i'll find something else more moisturizing that i can use. oh well! another one bites the dust!

Good product, I have very dry skin and live in a dry climate. I use this and then use alvera and a little vitamin E as my moisturizer. I do this in the am & pm.

I have edited this rating so many times. I used to suspect that this product was causing me to breakout, but every time i would go through a dry spell, I ended up reaching for this to help me get through the day without peeling (yuck). And it helps hydrate my skin well. But it also makes my skin breakout. I think it just ends up blocking my pores. But when you have dry skin, i think you end up having to pick and choose on what you would like.

I was suggested this product by many people on SkinCare Board. I hoped it would help with winter dryness and my sensitive skin.

I wanted to be in love with it but I am not. I still think it is a great product though, just not as amazing as I had hoped.

It comes in a little dropper bottle, which is good for getting a precise amount. You need so little - i use 2 drops. But it is a little precarious sometimes, as you can risk tipping your product over and spilling your expensive serum. I have almost been there, more than once.

I think the texture is ok, a little sticky at first. But it smoothens over the face well, and makes it feel smoothe and soft.

You definitely need moisturiser over this, as it tends to not seem to work or make the face a little dryer. But i have often put this on under my moisturiser, and felt that later in the day, I was more moisturised, so that is good.

I would buy this again, particularly as I believe this is a unique product that not many skin care lines have. But it hurts that it is so expensive.

I have only used this product once but I'm so excited about it that I needed to write a review. My skin is dry and flaking from Retin-A micro (because the weather has just turned cooler) and this serum seroiusly helps with moisture. It is a light-weight gel that seems to be oil-free. It plumps the skin, makes it look fresh and vibrant. My skin feels normal now; before using it, it fight tight and looked BLAH. It also seems to control that shiny-oily look, yet it's hydrating! Miraculous! I will update in about 2 weeks to let you know if I'm still loving it!

One of my favorite products with Hyaluronic Acid. I use it after I've cleansed my face and balanced it with a spritzing toner. It soaks right in and I love that its a liquid form so that I get the ultimate penetration from it. Really helps with the dryness in my face. Great product!

after the pregnancy, I've deshydrated skin, I feel that nothing moisturizing enough, any cream and serum was enough.

Then, I try this serum of skinceuticals with eucerin pH5 moisturizer, and OMG, my skin feel good. By first time my skin isn't tense.
I don't know if it is by chance.

After an amazing facial at Bliss in San Francisco, this product was recommended to me for my just-getting-over-a-major-hormonal-acne-crisis skin. I held out and bought the product on ebay for about $20. After all the money i had been spending on acne creams and prescriptions, I was tapped out. I use it to prime my face before applying my MaMa Lotion or Taz (which i have been alternating). Now my face has done a total 180 and i couldn't be happier.

This is a wonderful light gel which is to be used right before you apply your moisturizer. I use it in the a.m. after my Vit C serum and before my moisturizing sunscreen. At night I apply it before my retinol cream or plain moisturizer (I use retinol every other night). It enhances the benefits of any moisturizer. I like that it sinks right into my skin. It's expensive but I adore it. My skin never looks dry with retinol use, it's always fresh and plumped.

I thought that this would be the perfect moisturizer for my skin. I was wrong. It's like $60 for 1 ounce, which is pretty expensive for something that doesn't really do anything. There are much better lines out there that deserve your money than this wimpy gel.

This is a fantastic, light moisturing gel that soaks in immediately and leaves skin hydrated, soft and smooth. I have combination skin that is sometimes dry, sometimes oily....when I'm oily, this is the only moisturiser I need. When I'm dry, I use this under another moisturiser, and it really helps. The little dropper bottle it comes in is nice and practical....the only down side is the price, it can be a little too pricey for some.

Got a small sample of this and I'm very happy with the way it makes my skin feel. I have never had an allergic reaction and it does make my skin feel young/smooth/baby-like as the past reviews have mentioned. I'm looking forward to using it in the winter as a prep for my moisturizer. Right now, I can sometimes use this on its own, depending on how oily my skin feels with the warmer weather. I will repurchase a full sized bottle no matter the cost. For me, it has worked that well!
UPDATE: lately, everytime I try this, I break out in small whiteheads - not sure why -

I was introduced to this product from my facialist. I really love it because it works so well. Even though I drink three liters of water a day, my skin is still dehydrated. My skin is baby soft because of this gel. I only put it on once a day in the evening because its so expensive. I love the way it makes my skin feel.

A Godsend for me. I recently discovered I had dehydrated skin and this did wonders for it. Makes my skin looks fresh, dewy and glowy. I do not use foundation except to spot cover any blemishes with a mineral m/u.This also plumps lines nicely. Just great stuff. A wonderful find. Needlesss to say will repurchase!

This product doesn't seem to do much for me. My skin is pretty normal with some breakouts every now and then. This product makes my skin feel nice and all, but I just don't think it's worth the 50 bucks when there are other products out there that probably do the job just as well and are cheaper.

For anyone with normal-to-oily and/or sensitive skin, there is nothing better than SkinCeuticals B5 Gel to gently and effectively moisturize. It is as close to natural moisture as humanly possible (think: baby skin). The ingrediants are pure. The results are immediate and amazing. I have sensitive, combination skin. After applying 2 drops of B5 Gel all over my face my T-zone is controlled and my cheeks are soft and supple. Besides hydrating the skin, there are also toning and anti-bacterial benefits. Also, I noticed my pores are much smaller with this product. It can be too light for many people.

TIP: After toning, apply on slightly damp skin to lock in the moisture.

Also, when a person first goes off moisturizers the skin feels dry. But try this product for a week to 10 days without any other moisturizer. I found that the skin balances and adjusts. Sometimes we get "addicted" to products. For eg, I "need" chapstick all day, but when I'm forced to stop (on a trip, for eg, when I didn't bring any lip moisture) my lips adjust and stop needing chapstick. Same with facial and body moisturizers TO AN EXTENT. I find that B5 Gel allows people to get back to a natural balance.

I bought this gel after using a sample from an office that does micropeels. My husband loves this stuff, but it doesn't hydrate my skin at all. My skin tends to be somewhat dry, and this gel unfortunately doesn't have any moisturizing qualities for my skin. I might buy it for my husband, but not for myself....

Yes, I would buy this product again and I have! I use the Skinceuticals CE ferulic and I have to use the hydrating gel with it or else my skin starts to get irritated. I think I like this B5 gel better than the CE ferulic. (although I know they serve different purposes.) This gel is very soothing for my skin. I can use it in winter and summer. It's probably not THAT moisturizing, but it helps hold in the moisture. I still get a little flaky but that's due to the differin gel that I use. (retinol)
Overall I like this stuff and if you buy it on ebay in the sample vials it's not horrendous.
