oh man! this was soo harsh - bad reaction or allergy (possibly the sulfur) scaly patches and my eyes and face totally swollen.
Age: 30-35 Skin: Combination, Tan, Warm Hair: Black, Medium Eyes: Brown
This is an awesome mask! I first steam my face for a minute, lightly pat my skin with a small towel to dry it a bit, and then apply the mask. I leave it on until it dries (5-10 mins), take the same towel (wet it with warm water) and then massage my face..you'll get the softest skin ever!!
-leaves skin smooth
-alot of product for the price
-maybe the scent for some people (but it's a very light scent)
Age: 19-24 Skin: Normal, Tan Hair: Brunette Eyes: Brown
I've used this mask for over a year now and I am still in love with it. It really helps to clear my pores and just the gunk off of my face, and it gives that nice tingly sensation (which I personally love) to let you know it's working. I'll use this about once or twice a week, especially when my skin gets really oily, and I'll use it occasionally for spot treatments as well. It's so cheap too!
Age: 44-55 Skin: Combination, Fair Hair: Red Eyes: Blue
Love this stuff! I have oily skin and this stuff soaks up the oil and sucks the gunk out of my pores! I has a minty smell and makes my skin tingle! It works great as a spot treatment for zits and it doesn't bother my sensitive skin......bonus!! I use a moisturizer after and wake up with glowing skin! I use once or twice a week. Great clay mask and dirt cheap. Possibly HG status!
Age: 25-29 Skin: Acne-prone, Fair, Cool Hair: Blond, Straight, Fine Eyes: Green
For the price and widespread availability in drugstores, you can't beat the performance of the mint julep mask. It truly melts away oil on my face and cleans out my pores. I use this mask about 1-2 times per week so I don't over dry my skin. My skin looks like it is glowing after I rinse it off.
I do apply a layer of Aquaphor after rinsing and drying my face with a towel. Then I go to bed and wake up to clean, moisturized skin. :)

I don't know why it took me so long to try this stuff, but man I wish I used this back in High School!
I'm really glad that this mask isn't hard to wash off. I've used many masks in the past, and it would take forever (even with a washcloth) to come off. Whether you have severe acne, moderate acne, or just want a deep clean, try this product. I use it at least once a week, but have used it more if an event was coming up. Any little pimple you see will be on it's way out the door, once you apply this product. You may feel tingling when you first use it, but you won't notice it after your second or third time wearing this mask. This is also the first mask I've had that actually makes my face softer. I highly recommend this product, it's amazing!

This makes a great spot treatment. It doesn't make the pimple go away completely, but i leave it on overnight and it goes down in size and redness by the next morning. I LOVE IT!

im not acne prone. but i jst wanted to check this product out what the raves are about. result? not good. saw bumps on my forehead and a few on my cheek. im still not sure if i got it from this because i was getting my period. but im scared to try it again because my face got cleared already.

I usually use this as a spot treatment rather than a mask over my entire face. Warning: Do NOT use this on dry patches! It is amazing at drying out those gross, swollen pimples that seem to never go away! I just dab on a bit, wander around the house for roughly 30 minutes, and wash off with warm water. It's extremely soothing and - best of all - seems to help prevent acne scarring! I'm in love.

This mask is surprisingly affordable and fantastic! I was going through a short-lived "buy only expensive beauty products" phase when my friend turned me on to this. They used it in her beauty school. For $3 at Dollar General, why not? I love this product now! Its much better than the Aztec Clay mask. Once every other week, or when my face just feels clogged and gross I throw this on while cleaning. It smells minty and tingles a bit. Its a short mask, only 15 minutes which is great. The tube seems like the most pratical way to package it, but sometimes its hard to squeeze out and get all of the product (especially with mask all over your hands). Rinses away pretty cleanly, but I follow up with a deep moisturizer. Not too drying for periodic use and has not caused me any breakouts. My skin always feels better afterwards. Well worth the money!!

Love this product! Had this laying around for awhile and one day decided to use it, I loved it! definitly made pores reduce in size and cured on-coming pimples! Leaves skin feeling fresh, but does dry my skin out a tiny bit but if you just put on a little lotion after your good to go. I use this product once a week and it helps keep my skin pretty clear.

Just used this product and I am 99.9% sure that this will be a HG item <3. There are tons of good pros I could mention, however, I feel that there is one con; the packaging. There's one in a tub and one in a squeeze tube. The squeeze tube isn't suitable for a product with such a thick texture. I wasn't able to order the tub, only the squeeze tube. Where I live, certain products (including queen helene products) aren't available, so I had to order it off http://www.iherb.com/ .
Anywaaayyyyyss.... back to the review. As I said before, I recommend the tub over the squeeze tube. The texture of the mask is a thick clay, Like many other reviewers halve said, it smells exactly like toothpaste. The tingly filming isn't overwhelming (if you are familiar with the Burt's Bees Beeswax lip balm, that tingle is overwhelming, the mask is nothing like that, just a subtle, hardly there tingle). You can also feel it tighten your skin (tightening pores). I recommend you DO NOT MOVE YOUR FACE! It helps a lot with the effectiveness of this product.
When applying, I recommend putting a very thin layer, this product is that good. You don't need to put an inch of product on. This mask dries very quickly, especially since I put on such a thin layer. As the instructions state, I wait for 15 minute before rinsing with warm water and a wash cloth. I don't use a wash cloth, I find it unnecessary because it rinses off very easily, as easily as rinsing off my foam cleanser.
The immediate results give a difference in smaller pimples, and DEFINITELY SMALLER PORES :D. I also found that my face was a lot more brighter and glowy. Amazing results! Will definitely be repurchasing, although I think this will last me a while (I use this 1-2 times a week). When I ordered it off http://www.iherb.com/ . It didn't say that there was a 33% more bonus, so when I opened my package I was pleasantly surprised. :D Also ordered the Mud Pack Masque, can't wait to try it out after such good IMMEDIATE results with this product :)

HANDS DOWN best skincare product from the drugstore!! I absolutely love this mask and is my holy grail product for when i get breakouts. This is amazing for spot treatment because of the sulfur. I just apply it to the breakout leave it on overnight and the breakout is greatly reduced or gone. I used it before a formal event and my makeup applied so smoothly. I feel like the longer you put it on the better it works

I have had this in my bathroom for quite some time but am really lazy and inconsistent when it comes to using masks, so I can't comment on anything this might do for acne or other skin improvements, HOWEVER I am currently dealing with a gnarly allergic reaction due to a recent attempted change in my skin care regimen. Tiny little red bumps running rampant on my face and I was desperate. I had heard that sulfur was good for this purpose and I remembered that this mask had it so I gave it a shot and lo and behold my skin is so much calmer after leaving a very thin layer of this on for about 20 minutes (FYI I applied to slightly damp skin). Of course the bumps are still there and probably will be for a few more days, but the redness is gone and much less noticeable. Itching is gone as well. After removing the mask I applied Aquaphor to my entire face (a must-have if you are like me and prone to product reactions) and things are looking much better. Will be sure to always have a tube of this around.

I've only been trying this product out for the past month or so, but I've already noticed a difference in my skin! Of course it is drying, but just use a light moisturizer after usage. It literally cleansed my pores & I could see the dirt that was removed from them! Leaves my skin feeling refreshed afterwards. Definitely enjoying this!
Age: 18 & Under Skin: Combination, Medium, Neutral Hair: Brunette, Straight, Medium Eyes: Brown
I like the minty feeling on my skin. It definitely helps reduce blackheads and dries up pimples and acne scars. Great for a once-a-week facial treatment. It is a bit drying so I always have to apply a light gel moisturizer to get rid of the dryness. The packaging can be a little messy
Age: 25-29 Skin: Normal, Medium, Neutral Hair: Blond, Wavy, Fine Eyes: Green
This does exactly what it claims to do. It dries out acne- unfortunately, it also dried out most of my face. I still like it, but I don't love it. So, I won't be repurchasing.
Age: 30-35 Skin: Sensitive, Fair-Medium Hair: Blond Eyes: Green
very good, working-horse clay mask! doesn't aggravate my super sensitive skin, clears out the pores(not permanently of course) smells like mint, smooth consistency, not too drying, skin feels clean after it, the best thing about this mask- is "value for money", and IT WORKS! I can't say nothing bad about it, 4 lippies as its just a good mask, not the best clay mask I've ever tried, but definitely worth the try.
Age: 25-29 Skin: Dry, Medium, Cool Hair: Black, Straight Eyes: Other
This product is dirt cheap, retailing around $5 and very well worth it. when applied, has a nice tingly refreshing feeling. it hardens once it dries, then you just wash it off. i would think it would be even more awesome if it could be peeled once dried. but you can't have it all.
this def works to get the dirt out of your pores. a definite repurchase is in mind. be sure to buy the stuff in the tube, the ones in the jar gets crusty much faster.
(i'm chinese, fair skinned, age 25-30, dry combo skin, clearish skin, though with large pores, light makeup user)

I love how this mask makes my skin feel really clean without drying out my skin (I always use a moisturizer after using this though and I apply the mask after cleansing my face) and it does help my complexion look brighter after I use it. it makes my acne look less red and irritated and in general just makes them look less noticeable. however, it does not shrink pores like it claims and I've noticed no long term dramatic differences with my skin. it's also a hassle to find because I've only found it at Walgreens which is not the drug store I usually go to because it is farther (I usually go to cvs or rite aid). but for the price and the amount of produce you get, you can't really go wrong with getting this and I highly recommend it!
