So glad I bought a trial size of this. I have fine, color-treated long hair. This shampoo dries my hair out and often leaves me with dry flakes in my scalp. I don't even have scalp issues! One of the worst shampoos I've ever tried, on par with something like V05 or Suave.

Omg... I can't believe how many great reviews this line got. UGH... I used the volume line and it did nothing but made me lose a significant amount of hair in the shower and the shedding - all day picking hair off my shirt! My hair was a frizzy mess and it did nothing for volume at all - nothing. Besides Pantene (has to be the same company that makes this) This stuff is horrible! HORRIBLE!

I used the Total Care formula of the shampoo and conditioner in the full sizes. I loved the scent of both the shampoo and conditioner and it lingers in a good way. Although the shampoo lathers rather luxuriously, it really did not do much for my hair in the long run. My hair looked somewhat dry and coarse after blow drying/styling. I have light brown/highlighted hair that I get single-process color on. I may try the formula for color-treated hair next to see if it works any better because the smell of these products is addictive.

I've only used this twice since I bought it and I'm already really impressed. 1) It is pretty cheap for this poor college kid 2) my hair feels super soft 3) the sent isn't too strong and is a clean/fresh sent. Obviously I haven't been able to see if it helps get my hair stronger or make it grow faster. I generally have very very oily hair and my hair stays fresh looking for much longer than it normally does. I really hope it ends up strengthening my hair and helping it to grow faster. I'm growing out a pixie cut at the moment and want to get out of this awkward stage as soon as possible!

First of all, this review is for the shampoo only (the colored/damaged hair version). I purchased this because I read an article in a magazine that said that normal shampoos/shampooing doesn't clear the hair follicles of dead skin cells and sebum, clogging them and making it more challenging for hair to grown long and strong. I have long, naturally curly blonde hair that I color dark brown and straighten daily. It is about 6 inches past my clavicle, and I have been trying to grow it past my breasts, ala Kim Kardashian, for what seems like years. I had beautiful long hair as a teen, but since being in my adult years, just can't seem to get past this length where it ends right around my underarms.
I have been using this shampoo for a little over a week (probably around 10 days) and can honestly say I am VERY impressed. I am someone who has always believed that shampoo doesn't really matter in comparison to a good, rich conditioner. Well, I was wrong. I massage this shampoo into my roots in a circular motion with my fingertips, being sure to reach all of my scalps, and taking around 2-3 minutes to do my whole head before rinsing. I am using my usual conditioner (Tresseme Soft and Silky), which I always use. My hair feels incredibly soft and shiny, and actually appears to be stronger as I don't have as many stray hairs all over my bathroom after styling. My root area has more volume than usual and my hair just feels cleaner overall than normal.
The next test is to see if it starts to accelerate in growth, which will probably not be visible for a little while. Meanwhile, I am going to switch to the Clear conditioner too once my Treseme is gone. This will be the first shampoo that I ever re-purchase out of loyalty. As for the scent, it is fine...not too floral or strong. It really just has that typical "clean shampoo" smell. My boyfriend likes it, which is great because he only seems to like very clean scents. However, if you are particularly sensitive to heavy scents, you may want to steer clear of this as it is definitely perfumed.
Another nice thing I noted is that Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is listed fairly towards the end of the ingredient list, unlike most shampoos that list it right after water (like the V05 I usually use).
Overall, I am happy with this product and will continue to use it. I am also going to monitor my hair growth to see if this will help my healing my scalp.
**update**
I finished my bottle today, roughly 30 days after I wrote this review and noticed that my hair does seem longer by about an inch. Obviously I cant be 100% sure since I didn't measure it before starting to use this shampoo, but if I noticed it that alone is a big deal as my hair grows very slowly. I will definitely re-purchase!
***another update***
I read some other reviews where people claim that this has made their hair fall out. I am not disputing their claim, but what I do not understand is that the first few ingredients in this shampoo really don't differ than those in other shampoos....so what is it that could be causing hair loss? Anyway, someone else is saying that there are a bunch of fake reviews on this shampoo and that the majority of positive reviews are false, but my review is NOT fake. I really do still like this shampoo, but I don't use it as often because it is kind of expensive compared to some others I use.

Love this line. I bought the strong lengths shampoo and conditioner a couple of weeks ago and it's made my hair feel stronger, look shiner, and it smells so fresh and so clean, and best of all it doesn't clash with my favorite perfume. It doesn't leave any residue and rinses very clean, without feeling stripped down. The only gripe I have is about the bottle design for the conditioner- once you pass the halfway point on the bottle it can be very hard to squeeze out, I've been opening the cap and squeezing it against the wall into my other hand to get it out (the conditioner is very thick). Overall though, I love it and I don't plan to switch to another brand any time soon, so I hope clear is here to stay as opposed to last time (the brand is formerly known as sunsilk, which didn't take in the states. they changed their name and formulation and voila, clear!)
A long time dove convert.

I'm always nervous when I try a new shampoo/conditioner because I had a terrible experience with Pantene making my hair fall out in clumps a few years back. I am happy to say that this stuff is GREAT! I've been using it for about a week and my hair is super soft and SO shiny! And I am obsessed with the smell!! It reminds me of the original Herbal Essenses scent.
UPDATE! I've been using this for about a month and unfortunately I am noticing an uncanny amount of shedding in the past week or so. No clumps in the shower (a la Pantene style) but hair everywhere...on my pillow, my clothes, my desk at work. NOT COOL! I'll miss the smell but this stuff is headed for the trash!

I'm actually really surprised by how much I'm liking this shampoo and the conditioner. I have it in strong lengths, and after using it for about a week, I have to admit that I'm really impressed. I have oily roots and can't usually go over a day without showering (or dry shampooing the crap out of my hair). This s&c leaves my hair soft, bouncy, and best of all, not oily. Plus, at less than $5 for each, it's a great price, and these are sold everywhere. If my results change I'll update, but so far I'm totally sold.

I have Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy in the Advanced Moisture care or something--the one for normal hair, no added bells and whistles (it has blue writing, if that clarifies). Great everyday, basic shampoo. Smells wonderful-- very apple-esque...reminds me of some nostalgic hair product from my childhood I can't quite place--isn't drying, and doesn't irritate my scalp at all, which is no small feat considering my sensitive skin. I've tried other shampoos in this line, and I like this one the best of all. I have rather thick, wavy, highlighted hair, and this doesn't do much for frizz, but it doesn't make it worse, either. The matching conditioner in okay--again, same great smell--but it probably isn't moisturizing enough in the long run. I'm on my third purchase of this stuff (both conditioner and shampoo), and it has a place in my rotation for now. Solid product.

LOVE this stuff! I normally don't write reviews on shampoos because they're usually nothing special - but there was a noticeable difference after using the volumizing version of this product. I had noticeable lift in my roots even without blow-drying - great stuff!

This review is for the volume shampoo from this brand. It's my HG shampoo and by far the best I've ever used--and I have used a lot. I have a lot of hair but the strands are fine. My hair gets greasy at the roots quick but can be dry at the ends and falls flat. This stuff transformed my hair. With regular use my hair gets only a fraction as oily as it used to without the rest of it being dry or straw like. This stuff gives me MAJOR volume. I recommend using it for a full week before you judge it though. The first few times I used it was kind of "eh" but after a week my hair looked and felt so much thicker. I went to put it up in a ponytail and thought I had teased it or something because it felt so thick. Just using this shampoo gives me more volume than other volume shampoos plus volumizing products (like mousse, etc). It doesn't smell great but it doesn't smell bad either. To me there's not much of a scent. It's very creamy and lathers up a lot, you don't need to use much. As a plus my scalp also feels much healthier. I sometimes break out around my hair line (near my forehead and neckline) or get dry patches but no such thing with this stuff! Oh, and I don't remember the price but it was pretty on par with most drugstore shampoos. Love it.

I have the ombre hair so my roots are brown and tends to be oily and dry at the ends since its blonde, I tried this product and at first it looked pretty good, until 2 weeks into it, I noticed my hair was becoming oily once again and now my hair was thinning and I was losing hair. I now have to go see my stylist and get treatment, since using this product my hair is worst than ever, I am currently writing to the company and filing a complaint. I wouldn't recommend using them, I have NEVER had my hair so damaged like now. Not happy at all.

This product is amazing! So not too long ago, maybe about 3 months ago, I went to a hair dresser, she put some product in it that made my hair dry to the extreme, it was falling out and braking. She also layered it really bad so its hard to put up in a simple pony tail or bun (My hair really doesnt grow fast) And no matter what I used, my hair was still so dry! One day, my mom picked up the Clear Scapl and Hair Therapy in the strong lengths formula, I was thinking it was going to be another crap company, because it was so cheap, I didnt want to try it because I thought it would be even more damaging to my hair, but I gave it a try, and Im so glad I did! My hair feels AMAZING! Its soft, and smooth and silky. And it flows Im African-Canadian (Moms white and Dads black) so my hair, likes to stick up, and does not cooaperate with me, its gets extremeley rough and dry, and its a mess, but the Clear product changed everything! This is a must have product! Plus its so cheap! I would definitley recomend this product to anyone! With what ever type of hair! Its my new favourite shampoo and conditiioner!

On day 10 and my hair is much softer. Easier to work with. I got the Strong Lengths. It is inexpensive for the quality. It smells a lot better than my salon brand and has a better... texture(?). Most salon brands seem to dry out my hair, so I switched to Dove for a while. I loved Dove products but found that they left my hair with lots of residue. My hair would get greasy very fast. Clear is just as moisturizing but my hair seems clean and fresh for the whole day. No complaints. Will definitely buy again. Clear is off to a great start.

I bought the Men's Dry Scalp 2 in1 version for my husband who has suffered with dandruff for years despite trying different shampoos designed for dandruff. He doesn't really like to talk about it, so I just forced him into it when he was running low on his current shampoo. OH MY GOSH. If you have dandruff, run out and buy this now. I pray they never discontinue it. I cut his hair after about a week using this shampoo, and it's like he never had a problem to begin with. His head was red and flaky everywhere before and there would always be flakes in the comb while I was cutting and all over the cape. There was not a single red patch or flake on his head. It smells amazing (and manly) which is a huge plus for a dandruff treating shampoo. I actually prefer this scent over other regular shampoos he has used. It's an average drug store price. Go. Buy. Now.

If this shampoo only worked as well as any of my other volumizing shampoos, I wouldn't bother to write a review. But this shampoo is special. The very first time, my hair just looked different -- and in a good way. It had great volume, nice movement (despite all the products I use while blow-drying), but best of all, it stayed looking great all day. My style just looked better than it normally does, the hairs laying just so to create a voluminous, layered look. The second time I used it I noticed that my hair felt sufficiently moisturized after shampooing that I didn't need to use conditioner. Sometimes I skip that step and just use some argan oil before blow drying. That day I didn't even feel the oil was necessary -- and I was right. My hair came out just gorgeous. So this shampoo may just save me both time and money, not having to stand under the shower rinsing out conditioner, and not having to purchase extra products.

I really like this shampoo and conditioner. I am pretty fickle when it comes to hair products. I rarely like anything well enough to buy it again right away. I am almost finished with these and will be repurchasing. I have very oily, fine hair, and this makes my hair feel so clean and healthy. The conditioner doesn't weigh my hair down. I use the total care formula.

Awesome shampoo, I have occasional psoriasis, dry skin and live in high altitude, ultra dry weather, on top of that I color my hair, so yes, my poor scalp suffers quite a bit, I usually use a medicated cream from my Doctor, Aveda Scalp Theraphy and tea trea oil, this shampoo took all the pain away in one wash, that day in particular I was feeling like my scalp had a sunburn, this shampoo left my scalp mega hydrated, I couldn't believe it, a true miracle for me, as for my hair, it is shiny, soft and full of volume, the complete opposite of what my hair looks like!
EDIT: I can't believe this made my hair fall out like crazy, it took several months to do so, in the beginning it was great and all of a sudden, bam, hairloss in the shower and after combing, horrible, horrible product, count me in as another person who lost lots of hair thanks to this trash of shampoo (shea butter version).
EDIT: found out that the third ingredient is the cause of my hairloss
Water (Aqua), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine

I purchased the trial "nourishing" kit on a whim, so I figured for $2, what the hey? I was NOT super-impressed with it the first few times using; however, the more you use it, the better it works! The shampoo lathers like a dream and does NOT tangle up my very long hair. A little bit of this goes a LONG way! It rinses well and I do not find my hair feeling stripped or dried out AT ALL (and my hair is on the drier side of the hair spectrum). The conditioner smells just as nice and leaves my hair soft, bouncy and super shiny. I have since purchsed the full size in the "lengths" formula and I like it even better!! My only beef would be that you get twice as much shampoo as conditioner in the trial kit, even though you end up running out of conditioner long before shampoo. Though it is a little pricier than other brands, to me it is worth it!
