I'm not a fan. Was looking for something different to try in a volumizing mascara. This is not it. The formula doesn't volumize much, at least on me. After about 5 hours I find a lot of it under my eyes, and as far as I'm concerned, that's a mascara's worst offense. I think the wand shape is promising, but it's much too flexible to apply the mascara well. It's flexible to the point of flimsy. I'm also not a fan of the bright blue tube, I like something a bit more toned down, but that's personal preference. Still on the hunt!

I like it. It made my straight short & sparse eyelashes curl. I usually go for Rimmel Mascaras..but I decided to give this a go. I am pleased so far.

This is easily the worst mascara I've ever used. I have nice lashes, but they're mostly blonde. I like brown or brown/black volumizing mascara. This mascara does not create volume-- it seems to make my already somewhat thick lashes look spidery and sparse.
The wand is awkward to use-- too short and too chunky. That bend in the wand is unnecessary; if you're applying enough pressure to actually cause the wand to bend, you're ripping out your lashes.
The brownish black color is really more of a washed out black rather than a warm-toned definer. For people who feel like this product keeps their lashes from feeling crunchy, there are other non-crunchy mascaras on the market that actually work.

Very nice for a natural look but not super dramatic. I prefer a more bold mascara. Also I find the brush/wand difficult to work with. I think it may have been designed that way. I feel like I can never get a good amount of product on my lashes because of the pivet before I just end up with a clumpy mess. The formula is very light though. I really didn't even notice that I had it on.

I have too of these, a jet black waterproof and a brownish black non waterproof. I have to honestly say I like this. You can barely feel it on your lashes it's so light. It gives perfect definition, bit more volume and there's absolutely no clumps. I love how light my lashes feel! Gel mousse for the win. I mean it's defiantly a different sensation than a normal mascara which takes some getting used to, but it's worth it for the weightless fully defined look. Defiantly not disappointed!

I'm usually a big fan of Maybelline mascaras, but this is one of the few by which I've been disappointed. It's not bad per se, but it doesn't do anything exceptional to my eyelashes. I guess you could say it's just underwhelming. I don't like my lashes huge and black and chunky or anything (as a matter of fact, I HATE that), so I like that it provides a more natural look, but it's just sort of... meh. Also, I have a particularly hard time maneuvering the brush. I'm terrible at putting on mascara in general, but this stuff is just impossible for me. The brush is huge, and the flexibility of the wand makes it awkward to use. I always end up poking myself in the eyes with the bristles. I'll use the rest of it up, because I'm cheap and it's not exactly a bad product, but I don't plan to repurchase.

Ok, let me start off by saying that I'm not at all picky when it comes to my mascaras, and I have always been a fan of Maybelline. However, this mascara is just AWFUL. First of all, the packaging began to unravel after only about 5 uses. The top where the wand comes out of was coming off. Secondly, the product itself performs poorly. It takes forever to dry and so smudges on my upper lid - you know that embarrassing look! Ugh! The actual look it gives to the lashes is pretty good, I'd say average. Nothing spectacular. The biggest problem comes with removal. Nothing, and I mean nothing, will remove this mascara cleanly. I use my tried and true Philosophy Purity in the shower, rubbing very well all over my eyes, and I step out of the shower and I have black ALL OVER my entire eyes. I have never had this problem with any other mascara. This stuff just will not come off, and it's horrible.
I am not one for ever completely throwing a product away and wasting money, and have only had to do that with one other product. This makes the second - I am now throwing this away!!

I used Tarte lash primer, then applied Mega Plush while still wet. My lashes lengthened by about 1/3, but they certainly weren't plush. I tried building it up, but it clumped, so i brushed it out, waited for it to dry completely, then tried building again. It didn't clump, but it never actually thickened. I ended up with lashes similar to the pictures posted above, which I personally find sloppy and stringy and sort of alien-like. I will reuse if I can get it to build, I like the length. I will try Urban Decay lash primer tomorrow, that one tends to thicken.

Don't mind the brush and haven't noticed the formula being too wet, as some others have, but have noticed a little tendency to flake towards the end of the day. So I try to keep it light in application to avoid that -- which means no mega-popping volume and definition. Bleh - what fun is that? Will keep using (lightly) until the tube gets a little older, but won't repurchase.

I'm not a big fan of the maybelline mascaras. They clump if you try to build up for volume. It lengthens nicely and the blackest black is dramatically black, but since I don't have the best lashes, the clumping effect is not very flattering. It's similar to the falsies. If you only put one coat, it does absolutely nothing for your lashes. I hate the flex wand and the brush. I'm a fan of the last blast brushes because they seperate very nicely. This formula is also too wet, so it takes too many coats to build up.

The packaging is an attention grabber like most of the Volum Express ones but the formula and brush= not so great. I used this a handful of times and then threw it out recently. It's a wet formula and it just didn't give me any volume or curl. I hated the brush. It felt too flimpsy and bent so easily that putting it on meant I got some mascara on my upper eyelid. I wish it had been a stiffer brush that gripped the lash rather than unevenly drag product through the lashes. It gave me horrible raccoon eyes not long after I applied it. At the end of the day I would look in the mirror to see black smeared under my eye. Even when I applied a Clinique Lash Building primer the mascara still didn't perform the way I had hoped.

I actually like this mascara, I saw a review on it and decided to give it a go. I'm a student and I pretty much just want a mascara that gives my eye lashes a bit of life and is still soft and not crumbly if I rub my eyes. This did exactly that. I really like how my eyelashes didn't feel hard or clumpy after a full day of wear.
Its easy to wash off even without make up remover. I think this is a great day to day mascara. It doesn't do dramatic lashes so if you're looking for that I'd suggest something with a more dense brush and formula.
I also really like the bend in the brush that makes it slightly more flexible to catch all the lashes with a stroke.

First of all, the packaging is adorable. This is actually my second Maybelline mascara (my first was the falsies flared, you can read that if you like :p), and i actually liked it quite a bit. No fallout whatsoever, and it didnt clump for me unless i started fooling around with my lashes. the gel formula is great and my lashes are so soft. I know some people didnt like the wand and thought it was too bendy, but i was pretty okay with it haha. i have really long eyelashes, but not the most voluminous. it does lengthen quite a bit, but didnt do too much for volume. if i applied around 4-5 coats, then i definitely could tell the difference. this is definitely a very buildable mascara, which i like. i just wish that it did more for volume with less product, because as we all know, maybelline mascaras dont come with a whole lot of product. it is a more natural looking mascara, and it wont give you a false lash effect but will make them look thicker. i think this mascara would be great for people with enough volume but not a whole lot of length. i did like this mascara, so if i ever really desperately need one ill buy it again. but first im going to keep searching for that voluminizing mascara lol :)

This is my least favorite mascara. I found that the gel formula does not add volume or length to my lashes. It looks as if I'm not wearing mascara and would be great for anyone who wants a natural look. It definitely will not make your eyes pop or create a dramatic look.

I really like this! It's not my HG but it is a necessity now! :o)
It's good for days when I want a super natural look but i want my lashes to be big aswell.
My lashes are NOT brittle with this.
I only wear this when im not in the mood to do my makeup but still want it on. The thing is though, your eyelashes look exactly like the brush :O
Its super wet and easy tto work with.
I like the size of the brush, it's effortless :)
Pros:
Wet formula (i like)
Last forever
Don't have to work with it
eyelashes aren't stiff
leaves them soft
lengthens
adds volume
Cons:
Hard to take off
a little clumpy
I will buy again!
Maybelline never fails =]

i didnt really like this product, although i am still using it until it runs out. i have very short eyelashes that curl easily, but they are flat and have no volume. this mascara did nothing at all. and the brush is TERRIBLE and can easily get in your eyes. i do not recommend it for people with stubborn, short lashes. too expensive for the quality:( i am gonna switch to loreal voluminous:)

Usually i buy higher end brand mascaras but this time i wanted to use something that was not as expensive. So i decided to try this one, Ive used other products from maybelline before & was impressed, So i assumed this mascara would be good. & i assumed RIGHT! This is now my new go to mascara! Its great for an everyday mascara, no flakes or clumps and it doesn't make my lashes feel hard or stiff. Good job Maybelline :)

I got this mascara around 2 months ago and its great! It keeps your lashes light and fluffy, yet still lengthened and volumized. It is a good mascara for everyday use because it isn't clumpy or overpowering :)

I have naturally medium-long eyelashes with average volume, and this is my current HG mascara. I always look for mascaras that volumize rather than lengthen. I usually apply this on top of curled lashes, but it works well either way. It flaunts a "gel-mousse" formula, but I don't really understand what that's supposed to mean. In any case, the formula is slightly wet, but dries quickly. It has a bendable joint rather than being a straight brush, which was kind of weird at first, but I don't even notice it now. It works well on its own or as a layering mascara. I typically apply two coats of this. It CAN get a tad bit clumpy the more coats you apply, but if you keep it under two, you should be good. It does not flake or smudge throughout the day, and it is fairly easy to remove. I have already repurchased!
