WHAT I USED TO APPLY IT: a mineral powder brush. I went to Sephora and told the woman what foundation I was using and she suggested using a powder brush and said definitely not a sponge or your hands so keep that in my ladies :).
My foundation tone was "light cocoa" and it matched to my skin very closely. When I applied it felt nice and silky, but as the day went on, it never really stuck to my skin. Sweating made it obvious I was wearing foundation and it would come off onto my clothes whenever i lightly brushed them against my face. Additionally, the pump was sometimes out of control and would give me WAYYY more than I wanted. I have clear skin for the most part, so the coverage was fine, but I can't get over the mess and how it doesn't stay on your face!

this was my first foundation product. honestly it wasnt bad, nothing to write home about. my one issue is i didnt really know how to apply it, since i didnt have a stipling brush. i could use my fingers, but it would dissolve on my fingertips. if i used a sponge, it would be uneven, since all the product would be gone on the first section. the coverage is light, but my skin is fairly normal so i didnt have a problem. but it cant hold a candle to my covergirl natureluxe, so i will not be repurchasing

I didn't find the application that bad - it did not spray everywhere as some people had issues with. It is very light and easy to absorb into the skin. HOWEVER - It is a very light coverage, and unless you have amazing skin (I don't) it won't provide enough coverage.
I prefer Maybellines liquid foundations as they are still light but provide better coverage. I won't be wasting my money on this again.

Ew.. Okay I honestly don't know where to start. This product is disgusting. The applicator to this product sucks, product gets EVERYWHERE. and even if I just barely press the pump, it gives me waayy to much product that I don't end up using. This has a weird feeling.. Doesn't feel lightweight.. But makes my skin somewhat dry. This was too expensive for a drugstore foundation..

I have this in Natural Beige and it matches my skin tone perfectly. It's very sheer cover, which I prefer. At first, I had a hard time with the dispenser but now I've mastered it (I just angle it down a bit and make sure to hold it in my sink in case some extra bits do spray out). I use a small amount, often smaller than the walnut -sized suggested amount. If you don't blend immediately or put too much on, you may end up with a slightly more orange tint than you'd prefer. As long as you match it well to your skin tone and blend well, you shouldn't have any problems. It gives my skin a nice dewey glow, and feels incredibly light. You may still need to use concealer, but it definitely helps even out my skin. I almost prefer it over my SPF 20 tinted moisturizers as it feels more light-weight and has SPF 16. If you are looking for a light foundation, this may be it for you, if you need significant coverage then you should look elsewhere.

I thought this product would be good as I saw some very good reviews. The product itself is not bad. It gives me nice coverage but it's extremely messy and gets on my clothes. They say to spray it on the top of your hand first and work from there. Well it just drips off and gets on the counter and then when you try to put in on your face it drips onto your clothes. Not very good at all. Maybe if they made an airbrush spray out of it, it would be better but leave the mousse products for the hair.

I bought this product hoping it would be better the the Dream Smooth Mousse, but i was wrong. I used this for about 2 months or less and i hated it. I didn't want to get a new foundation because i wanted to give this one a shot. I will never re buy again. Its very messy, and gets on my clothes, it has some good coverage,it smells like sunscreen, and it feels gross when i put it on. I feel like this foundation made me look worse then how i looked without makeup. I do not recommend

Should have known better, gimmicky and crappy product. Almost no coverage, disappears in a little pouf when applied to skin. Settles nicely into every fine line. Literally couldn't give it away to anyone-words gotten out.

I REALLY love this product and I am surprised that a lot of people do not enjoy it.
I was a big fan of the Maybelline dream liquid foundation, and the dream smooth cream, so I happily bought this when it first came out.
This one is my all-time favorite, HG summer makeup. I do not think I can wear it during the winter months because its so light on my skin and I feel my skin might become wind-chapped if i don't wear a thicker makeup on my face during those harsh winter months. But for summer this is my #1.
If you are someone with dry skin who enjoys tinted moisturizers you will love this. It is so unique and has such an airy feeling on the skin - yet covers light to medium. It covers my freckles, my redness and most of my blemishes, but i do not think its heavy enough to cover dark pigmentation or scarring.
Its like one of those tinted moisturizers that has a great coverage - although it is not marketed as a tinted moisturizer, I think it should be.
Its just a very amazing, lightweight air foam that looks airbrushed on my dry skin. It is a bit WET when you first blend it in, and leaves a very wet looking/dewy finish until it dries down, and when it dries down, it looks like SKIN! even up close! I set mine with a sheer pressed powder to matte it out a bit.
I even tricked my aunt with this, I applied just this and some sheer powder, (going for a very natural, no makeup look) nothing on my eyes or lips. And she was in AWE about how amazing my skin complexion was, and asked if I was wearing foundation, she honestly could not tell ;) and i do nottt have perfect skin by any means, but this foundation is my little summer skin secret <3

I purchased this in Classic Ivory. This shade was very orange, and was not a good color choice for me. Also, the coverage is minimal, so I'd recommend this for those with little imperfections or people looking for a light coverage. It gave my skin a tight feeling, and was not very breath-able on my face. The pump on the packaging is not easy to use; I often pump out too much, and it also gets "stuck" and can be very difficult to use properly. Also about the packaging, it is very hard to find out a proper shade since you cannot see the actual foundation due to the aluminum packaging. I purchased this for $8.99 at Publix, so the price isn't too bad. I will not repurchase this.

I like this foundation OK.
Light coverage, which I like, nice texture and it's blendable. At first I had given it 5 stars.
But I noticed that it oxidizes like crazy on my skin, to an orange tone or something like that....
I just had to put this one aside. :(

I really like this product. I'm African american with acne prone skin and hyperpigmentation. I am shade light cocoa in this foundation and it matches my skin very well (it gives me a glow). THIS FOUNDATION MATCHES MY SKIN BETTER THAN ANY OTHER DRUG STORE BRAND IVE USED THUS FAR. I love that this product is truly brown (not too orange and not too yellow)The product offers medium coverage and is light weight which I love for the summer. (If you apply too much you will look cakey)I dispense the product onto the back of my hand with a quick firm pump. I then use a small flat head makeup brush to stipple and work on to my skin. This foundation does not apply well with your fingers . It also dries fast so apply in sections. It transfers easily... so set with powder and you are good to go. IT DOES NOT BREAK ME OUT AND WASHES OFF VERY EASILY!!! I will definitely repurchase.

This thing was just a big mess. After shaking it and pressing the nozzle multiple times it finally gushed out (yuck). I go to spread it on my face and it goes on blotchy, uneven, and escentuates every tiny dry spot on my skin. It looked VERY masky and fake. Even though I bought the lightest shade it was too yellow. For $11, it was a total waste.

This stuff is awesome! I hated it at first, but I combined it with other foundations & it works beautifully. It gives you a light coverage which is good for me cause
I just have sun spots I wanna cover. Gives me a matte finish. Color is pretty close to my skin tone, and skin type. Good all around - Tzone.

I bought this at my walgreens for a sad $11! I was still very excited to use it. When I got out of my walgreens, and was heading into walmart. I looked up the reviews for this product on my phone. Seeing all the horrible reviews, my heart sunk and I thought of taking it back before I opened it. Thinking about how products work differently for everyone, I still wanted to try it out. I'm glad I did. I wanted this product in the first place because of the adorable commercial! Now I see, it is very light....before you rub it in. I spray the foam (which I LOVE!) out of the back of my hand. This formula is so concentrated a little goes a looonggg way, sadly, you can't take out a "little." You can't really control how much the pump lets out, even if you just put a little pressure on the top. This product can look extremely cakey on your skin. I have acne prone skin so it does on mine. It gives light to medium coverage. I won't be repurchasing.

I'll get the cons out of the way first, only one...the dispenser (packaging, whatever), I hate that no matter how well you shake it, there's always a bit flying off somewhere--onto my clothes, the shower curtain (which is quite a distance away!), my hair...sigh, you get the idea. It may be user error, I admit If anyone has found a way to dispense this stuff w/out it spitting, please let me know. Anyway, I do like this product. I love how it feels very light, covers just enough, can be built up to med coverage. A perfect Summer foundation, IMO.

I really enjoy this foundation. I will definitely say if you are looking for a heavier coverage foundation, this is not for you. I have a few problem areas (redness, acne) and for the most part it does cover it. I do use concealer over in some places though as needed. I love the fact that this is extremely lightweight, and I don't need to worry about it looking cakey. Be careful about some of the shades looking orange. The shade I have is 240 Natural Beige and it is the perfect shade for me while I am tan. I apply it with my hand, and while it does come out slightly orange, it adjusts just right on my face and does not look orange. Also to help with that I use a lighter shade of powder over it. I have extremely oily skin, and while I still get oily, this is the best foundation I have used that helps control that. One of the complaints I have with this is when you first open it, it comes out straight up white. I was disappointed because while it did state that on the packaging, I feel like some of the product was wasted. Which also leads me to being careful when dispensing the product, it is super easy to dispense more than you need, but if that happens just use it where you need extra coverage :) Definitely recommend for lightweight coverage, and for oily skins! :)

I love playing with makeup and switching things up so I figured I'd try this on a whim. I hadn't seen the commercials or anything, just came across it in the drugstore and decided to give it a go....so I wasn't sure what to expect--like, does it spray on or what???
Anyways, you shake it up and spray a clump onto the back of your hand. It comes out kinda like mousse like for your hair. The color is pretty light and deceiving--it goes on darker. I use a flat, teardrop shaped sponge(damp) to dab it on where I need coverage, and kind of blend it out. This doesn't cover very well, but it does give the skin a really nice feel. Once it dries though, if you apply a dusting of powder to set it, your skin looks luminous and natural not artificial at all. It doesn't cover entirely well, which is I guess the point of HD makeups--so it doesn't look completely fake on-camera...but for those of us not on-camera, it doesn't do a whole lot if your complexion isn't great to start with. I conceal, highlight and correct before applying and just dab this over. Once set though, it does give your skin a very smooth appearance and a very natural look. The colors though are a bit unnatural and look kinda freaky. I used the second to lightest and it goes on a little dark, clings to the skin so it doesn't blend thoroughly...but a little careful application with a sponge evens it out nicely.
I like that it's light weight for summer, and it does give my sadly-pale skin a nice bit of glow. And so far, no breakouts and my skin feels very nice with it on. Oh, and when you rinse it off at night, your skin does feel much nicer than when you wear heavier foundations or even the MMU's...It's got some kind of skin benefits to it so that's a plus.
The only downside I can see are the colors being unnatural, but they do blend out to something resembling human skin.lol And you really do need to set it with powder in order for it to actually work right.
Not too expensive and the spray-mousse type bottle is kinda kitchy so I'd def buy this again. Hope they work on the colors though for the future because nobody I know is naturally any of the colors they have....
