I wanted to try one of Make-up For Ever's aqua liners, but I had a gift card to Ulta and decided that as a compromise I would try out Urban Decay's version of MUFE's liner. There wasn't an exact color matches to the MUFE liner #6 that I was wanting so I picked up UD's Smog liner. I've heard it described as a glittery bronze or golden olive color. I would have to say I think on my skin it is more golden olive.
I wasn't sure how I would like this product. I am used to waterproof Maybelline liquid eyeliners that tend to last pretty well, but after prolonged periods of wear smear and wear away. I'm actually pretty impressed with this product. It doesn't last 24 hours, but it does have a noticeable longevity in comparison to my Maybelline eyeliner. With my gift certificate I got this product for like $10.00. I think that is pretty reasonable for what it does, but I will seriously probably not repurchase it at the full price. I think $20.00 or so is a lot to ask for a product you have to throw away after a few months. Eyeliner is something I am pretty good about throwing out before it goes bad. My own personal philosophy about makeup is that you spend the big bucks on foundation and eyeshadow, but they are most important to me and have relatively longer shelf lives. Eyeliner I tend to not spend tons of money on so I doubt UD 24 waterproof liners will become a permanent staple in my collection, but a rare treat maybe.
Like I said I'm pretty impressed with this product overall. The smog is really an understated color so few people notice it on me. For those of you that are price conscientious, like myself ,I think NYX has their own set of aqua liners. There is one that I believe is called Golden Olive or something to that tune, which is similar to UD's Smog. It appears to need more layering to get the same color and the sparkle in it isn't as fine, but for a 1/4 of the price it might be something to look into.
This product removes easily with Albolene cleanser. It seems to sort of flake off, but I have never had to scrub my eyes to get this off. Albolene is very emollient so I don't know if you will get the same result with other face washes. I imagine Vaseline would have similar results.
I highly recommend checking out this eyeliner or others like it. Based on this experience I am definitely going to try out MUFE's aqua liner too. :)

the applicator tip is a this brush that moves/bends when you are gliding it on. It makes getting a smooth line difficult. Ofter, when I apply the eyeliner near the inner corner of my eye - some eyeliner gets into my eye and it BURNS like crazy. After all the work to get this applied nicely, it starts flaking off after about an hour.
The color SMOG is a pretty color though.

This is my favorite liquid liner to date. I have already repurchased it, and I am sill pleased with it every time I reach for it. I have the color retrograde, which is like a dark, sparkly purple. Some people may not like the brush, but for me, it is the easiest brush I have ever used. I can get an extremely, thin, precise line with it. Not the best for a thicker cat eye, but that is why I like it. It is quite expensive, but that hasn't stopped me from buying it again and again. Ladies, if you don't like it, you can always return it.

Probably one of the worst liquid e/l I've tried. While the packaging looks like you're getting a lot of product, you're really not b/c the wand is super long and the ink well is very small.
The brush is like 4 bristles stuck together. It made applying an even line very hard to do. When I first pulled the wand out of the tube, it was loaded with product. So when you initially start lining, the line is a decent thickness. As it dries out, it becomes very awkward to get an even line.
I had to 'clean up' my liner by topping with eyeshadow since it looked so sloppy.
I have this in perversion and it's not the blackest liquid liner I have in my collection either. So bad...so very, very bad.

My biggest problem with this eyeliner is it is extremely flakey.
The formulation of this product causes it to dry and become flakey. I have noticed that more waterproof liners then to have this consistency. Putting the lasting power aside, having an eyeliner that flakes off when you remove seems dangerous. I much rather have an eyeliner that melts off with makeup remover (like every other eyeliner I ever tried) than flake off and cause little black dots all around my eyes.
The brush tip is fairly easy to manuver except the fact that it sometimes leaves patches of product which can be a problem. I have to keep still for the product to dry in those areas or else it would smudge.
I was just running errands so I wasn't wearing any other makeup except eyeliner. The eyeliner has flaked off near my inner corner and closest to the lash line.
I would say for the average person, if you NEVER touch your eye during the day. (no rubbing!) it will last throughout most of your day. However considering it is marketed as a 24/7 eyeliner it does not deliver.
If your interested I have pictures on my blog....

I have this in Demolition which is a deep blackish brown. The brush is very fine pointed so getting a skinny line is easy. As others have said it takes a lot of effort to remove even with oily remover and chunks can easily get in the eye during removal.
Overall I am not impressed. It difficult to remove and although it is waterproof the wear time is not any better than Wet N Wild H2O liquid liner. Not worth the money.
I gave this liner another try only this time I got Perversion the carbon black color...I can't believe this is the same product as Demoltion. Perversion lasts 12 hours and removes much easier. So I am upping my rating for Perversion only.
I cannot understand how the two can be so different. I would buy Perversion again but NOT Demolition.

This is one of the best liquid eyeliners i have used. I wouldn't reccomend it for someone who isnt used to applying liquid eyeliner. If you make a mistake its not very forgiving. This eyeliner stays on forever. I have the blackest one and i use it all the time. I really like the brush because its very thin and i can apply to my inner eye with no problems. The one i have broke and the liquid spilled all over my counter, and i have no clue how that happened, but i would buy this again either way.

I really didn't like this liner as it crumbles when I try to remove it, it goes in your eyes really easily, it is really liquidy and its runny. I got this from my book of shadows pallette and I was really excited when I saw how small the brush was and I thought it would be really easy to put on. I was wrong. The bottle/tube get excess liner around the top therefore making it really hard to close and that means mess, over clothes, bedding, surfaces, its terrible.

I have a couple of colors. This is the first liquid liner I did NOT return. Yeah, there is a learning curve; not the easiest product to master. But, once you do you will know it was worth it and this was the most fool-proof formula I've found.
The colors are vibrant and stay true all day/evening. I have oily lids and this stays put. The price is high but I think that about everything anyway. Eyeliner is one of those "POW' products that I feel is worth spending extra for. I have really sensitive eyes and no problems with any of the Urban Decay. No animal testing. My only complaint is packing seems counter-intuitive in that the side with the brush and the side that holds the liner should be switched. The first time I opened this I spilled it all over my shoes at Ulta because I held it the wrong way. But I'm not a member of MENSA either.

I really like this product! I've tried so many liquid and pencil eyeliners, and none of them stayed on all day like this and usually smudge, giving me the Ms. panda look (I've got pretty oily eyelids and like to rub them as well). The trick is to really SHAKE the applicator before applying and once applied, letting it dry completely. Only downside is that I have to curl my eyelashes before applying this stuff or it will stick to my curler. The brush makes it easy to apply. At the end of the day it comes off fairly easily with some soap and water. I've even gone to the beach and played in the water and sweated like crazy, and this stuff still stays on. Too bad it's a bit pricey. I would buy again once I save some more money.
