Why oh why did I bother. This is the most disappointing and overly hyped mascara that I have ever tried. I have to give them points for their marketing strategy. It worked. That and all the hype out there led me to MAC's website to buy this sight unseen (we live out in the country and have no large malls close by). This mascara was just awful for me. There are a dozen drugstore mascara's that do more than this one. Not only that, but I have never tried a mascara in my life that left my lashes this brittle! Once you apply this mascara, you cannot work your lashes or apply other coats without great difficulty (and you better move lightning fast)! I couldn't even use my trusty lash comb as it wouldn't budge or move through these lashes period! If I had tried any harder, I would have pulled out lashes with this (so be careful)! Usually when I am having a very light eye shadow day, that's when my mascara really pops the most because it's more visible. When I wear Diorshow or YSL Faux De Cil on a light eye shadow day, people always have to stop and ask me what mascara I'm wearing. Not with this one! No matter how I tried to work the lush looking brush, it gave me no wow factor whatsoever (and I know how to work a mascara wand). I got nothing but short, black sticks that looked like micro-tiny, thorns. At least it was easy to remove, so I will give it points for that! It's also so cheap that it's not worth returning because I would pay half the price of the mascara in shipping alone. Ugh. Live and learn. This should be renamed Opuhype.

After seeing a Youtube Guru rave about this product, I decided to give it a try. The mascara gives me long, separated lashes with a little bit of volume with one coat. I think the more you build it, the more drama you could create.

One really nice thing is this product didn't clump or give me spider lashes. I did get compliments on it the first day I used it. For now, this is my go-to mascara, but typical of me, I'm sure I will keep trying other ones just to see if something is better. :)

Don't believe the hype! I'm convinced that MAC is secretly re-packaging their mascaras with flashy names and flashy promises. This one is no different that Zoom Lash. It doesn't make your lashes any bigger or better. I found the brush to be quit difficult to work with, which is a big turn off for me. The end results are good, but they are no different than what you could already achieve through about 15 other mascaras already on the market. Thanks, but no thanks!

I like the big brush, but honestly I see no difference between this mascara and the Mascara X I was using before it. I agree with the reviewer below that it works best with Prep+Prime Lash, but in my opinion everything works better with MAC's lash primer - so still no big difference there. Nothing wrong with it, just doesn't do what the adverts promised and there isn't anything unique about it prompting me to buy it again. However I will use this one all up as it's fine as a day-to-day mascara.

I don't think *any* mascara can really give me the false-eyelashes look (the ones you see in adverts), while also lengthening, volumizing, AND also being smudge, smear, or flake-proof--it's just not going to happen. This comes pretty close to what I want in an everyday, affordable mascara though--my eyelashes do look longer and thicker and this mascara didn't budge all day, even with massive amounts of humidity and grossness. My big thing lately is checking out how easily the mascara can be removed, which, in this case, is pretty easily--I hate losing my eyelashes while removing mascara. I'd definitely re-purchase, but I'm already a MAC fan, so I'm sure I'm biased!

I LOVE this mascara!! I get compliments on it every time I wear this. Someone even asked me if I was wearing false eyelashes! This gives me a very full and lengthy look, but can be as subtle or dramatic as you want. Price is very comparable to some drugstore brands, which is great :) I will definately be repurchasing!

I was seriously hoping this would be more dramatic, like the SA promised. However, I can get it to build to a descent volume. I was hoping for something more UD Big Fatty-ish with this mascara. It was not it.

This is a mild volumizing mascara with a little lengthening packed into it at best. I will wear this on days I don't really feel like doing my lashes up. It does make the lashes beefier than dazzle lash. However, I still remain unimpressed by MAC's mascaras. I should have used my better judgement and passed. However at least it can still be B2M'd.

I do have to give it credit where this wimpy mascara deserves. It did not transfer, smudge or flake. The mascara is very black and has good pigment.

If you like big brushes this has a big brush, like UD Big Fatty. If big brushes aren't your thing, you won't like it.

Very disappointed with this product. The MA told me this was a more dramatic alternative to Plush Lash ( which I am a big fan of) but it was nothing like it. The formula left my lashes really dry. It lengthened my lashes but gave no volume, so my lashes looked like thin dry sticks.
I would not buy this again.

I love this stuff, but if you are wanting a mascara that is going to be dramatic, this is not for you. To me, this is like Great Lash on steroids. It makes my lashes look perfectly natural. Also, I love the way my lashes feel in this mascara. Kind of soft but with substance. I naturally have really long lashes, so this is perfect for me. So all in all, if you have long lashes already, and you want something to amp them up for everyday, Opulash is perfect for you.

I do like this mascara and for a price only (approx.) $7.00 above the average drugstore mascara I would repurchase. I really like the brush it gets all my little lashes, However the product applies much better if you use M.A.C Prep+Prime Lash first.

Overall, I am disappointed. I wasn't expecting too much, but when I saw the claims in the ads as well as heard the race reviews by the SA's I took the fall. The brush is big, like Diorshow, but that is where the similarities end. Opulash looks like nothing on my wimpy lashes after 1 coat. I need like 2 or 3, or to wear a primer underneath, to give me the lush, feathery lashes that I desire. And, then it flakes! The formula is quite dry, so it doesn't layer well. The only plus I can give this is that it does hold a curl. Sadly, I won't be repurchasing again.

Ok so first I didn't like this mascara because it didn't thicken and only lengthened but after using it for a weeks its only getting better! It makes my lashes huge and thick! I actually like it better than all the other mac mascaras I have tried. The only negative is that it is very drying to my lashes.

I've waited months for this mascara. Was very excited when i first read about it.
So when it come out in the Netherlands, i immediately bought it.
But what a disappointment :-(
It does nothing for my lashes, does not hold the curl, doesn't give my lashes length or volume.
Usually i use MAC Zoom Fast black lash for my upper lashes, and Studio Fix lash for my lower lashes, and i will stick to these two in future.

For now i use Opulash 1 or 2 layers, and then end with a layer of Zoom Fast black, because i don't want to through it away, but i won't buy it again.

I normally buy ds mascaras. I have tried probably close to every one on the ds market. I just never saw a reason to buy an expensive mascara. They all do the same thing RIGHT? Yeah or so I thought. The tips of my lashes are blonde. With one coat of mascara my lashes were gorgeous. No clumps, just long volumious lashes. This mascara wears like a waterproof. I did not experience any flakiness or running with 10 hours of use.

I have shiseido mascara base so I decided to try this underneath. I swear it looked like I put on a set on expensive false eye lashes. My mom even asked. For me it was well worth the $14.

I love love LOVE this mascara! After one coat my lashes are incredibly long, dark and instantly thicker. Great for day or night, really. Plus, it doesnt smudge! It lasts all day and comes off amazingly easy with just some warm water! I am seriously in love with this mascara. Just another reason why I love MAC!

By far one of MAC's best mascaras as it does exactly what it's said to do. It adds volume, length and it is long lasting. Love the big brush and I don't find it too annoying. It's very similar to Diorshow mascara. My only problem with this is the formula. Because it is long wearing/lasting, it makes my lashes dry and they feel like little sticks! I also noticed that the day I wore the mascara, it didn't quite irritate my eyes like most mascaras do, but it did flake and I think a lot of the product got into my eyes and I felt like I was damn near blind toward the end of the day (I'm a contact lens wearer btw).
I like the mascara but I don't think I will repurchase it. I also prefer to wear it layered with another one.

I like this mascara. It doesn't seem to elongate as well as zoom lash which is super intense, but for a softer look with a lot of volume, Opulash does the trick. I always coat lashes first with Prep + Prime Lash and often follow with 2 coats of CG LB (in either the original volumizing or fushion formula) and top off with Opulash for a lush, feathery look or for more drama I stick with my HG Zoom Lash. The formula wears well, no smudging and also is easily applied with the big thick brush a la Dior Show. Good mascara, not my fave but very nice and reasonably priced as well.

Love this mascara and for only $14, you can't beat that! I got it from the Mac website with free shipping. It does have a decent sized brush but I really like that about it. It doesn't clump or pull the curl out of my lashes after I have used my curler on them. Smooth formula and not clumpy. And again, when most high-end mascaras are running between $18 and $25 this one is VERY affordable. It delivers on it's promises and I really can't ask for more in a good mascara. In my book this mascara is second only to B.E.'s Flawless Definition mascara.

Opulash is the best I've tried from the MAC line of mascara's. I apply 2 coats and got no clumps, flakes or dry spider lashes. My lashes are naturally curly so I don't have a problem w/ this not holding curl. I feel that this mascara gives exceptional lenghth but decent volume (not the best). I can see each & every lash wearing it's shiny dark black coat. I find this to be incredible in the no clumping department! Everytime I pull the brush out, no visable clumping-I love that! My other go to mascara is Prestige MBL. MBL gives better volume but no lenghth and it tends to clump on the brush after awhile & the formula is very thick. MBL's brush is gigantic and hard to work with on thin short lashes. Opulash's brush is rather large to but it tapers more at the end which I find easier to use. I'm not 100% in love w/ Opulash but I'm enjoying this in my stash.

I absolutely love this mascara. It lengthens very well, it's very black, and it doesn't clump. I love the fact that it is only 14 bucks. The only problem I have is that it doesn't provide alot of volume. But that is okay because my lashes look just as good without them being over volumized anyway. I have tried most of the high end mascaras. Opulash beats them hands down. I can't believe that I was spending $30.00 of my hard earned money on mascara. It's not worth it because you have to throw mascara out after 3 months anyway.
