I don't get a lot of acne- usually one or two spots once in a while. I used it for a few months before going to bed. Didn't see any results at all.

For the first few days I used this, my mild, but very persistant acne actually seemed to be a little soothed and a cyst on my neck seemed to be shrinking. Fast forward approximately 1 week: My face is a total wreck. I was suspecting that this was clogging my pores, so I tried only applying to blemishes and acne-prone areas of my face. In those spots, I now have huge clusters of whiteheads and 3 new cysts! This is the worst my skin has looked in years and I attribute it 100% to this product. It's a shame because I really wanted to love this product. I appreciate companies like LUSH and the smell of this product was so relaxing. Unfortunately, a product's scent isn't enough to make me buy it again!

3 words: Saved. My. Skin.
I apply this after cleansing and before toning, and it's fab.
My skin is so clear, I can't believe it!
I love looking at my skin now, and I find myself touching my face just to feel how soft my skin is!

I purchased this product online from the UK LUSH website (prices are cheaper compared to the US website) and was dissapointed. I recently stopped using this after a few weeks because it simply did not work for my facial acne.
I dabbed this product on my problem areas after I cleansed and toned in the morning and afternoon, and I did not see any improvement.
Although it doesn't help clear up my acne on my face, it did help a pimple I got on my back. I put it on my back before I went to bed and when I woke up I could tell that the pimple was not as hard and decreased in size.
For my facial acne, I now use Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10, and after using it for two days I have already seen and improvement in my acne! Just in time for school orientation :)

Ive been using this for about 2-3 months now and I love it. It dries out my acne really fast but it doesn't dry out my skin at the same time. It also does a good job at preventing acne. I usually get acne right underneath my cheekbone on the left side. I just dab the gel on and I'm good to go. Great packaging. I love how it has a pump. It good for the price too and a little goes a long way. I will repurchase this when its gone.

How to: Pump onto the back of your hand (a little goes a very long way) and gently dab onto the areas with acne. I try not to rub it in. Just dab and wait for about 5 to 10 minutes before applying toner or moisturizer.

Heard amazing ratings on YT...dreamed of buying it and when i made a special trip to the store (4 hours from home) and bought it, i was so excited to get home to use it.
Used it that night...next morning...6 days now and have yet to see results :(
No less oil, no less breakouts...seems to be more redness :( :(
I'm still going to continue to use it, with hopes...high hopes.

Wouldn't buy it again though.

Overall I really like this!
It's great for spot treatment (especially overnight).
If I have a new pimple, I'll put a tiny bit on the spot at night and the next day it'll be either gone or smaller.
The product feels like gel and comes in a little pump bottle. I like the packaging, it's very travel-friendly and easy to use.
Price is ok, not too expensive (roughly $10)...quite affordable imo.

I would recommend this. You'll definitely see a difference!

Generally speaking, I like this product.
It's part of my nightly routine, and I found when I first started using this product it really cleaned my skin and it seemed quite clear. However, I was starting to think it was the regime I was using and the combination of the products not just Grease Lightning and I was right. I tried for a while just using it as a spot treatment and it worked but not as much as it did during the routine.

With that said here are a few things I noticed :
1)It can be quite drying and pore tightening
2)I had a pimple on my collar bone and it worked as a spot treatment so using it in other places besides the face works as well.
3)works better on under the surface pimples.
4)packaging controls usage and looks like it will last a while!

I don't think this will make acne go away completely, and I don't think it's the most effective spot treatment. However, if you're looking to whick away any oil at the end of the day, this is a good treatment. I think it also works to tighten pores.

I have noticed that this product has been really effective for my back acne more so than any breakouts on my face. It doesn't stain or bleach any fabrics and smells like fresh lavender. The pump on the bottle is not the greatest as it doesn't always decide to work but I would still buy this again.

Great product. I find it does help speed up pimple healing time, and it doesn't bleach my pillowcase like benzol peroxide or Proactiv will.

The scent is really relaxing and calming (and kind of helps my migraines!)

I do wish it had better packaging as it is difficult to get just a tiny bit out, but I will definitely be purchasing this again.

I'm still unsure about this. The thing is, I couldn't really use it as a spot treatment, as the pump is lousy at giving a small enough dose! It's sprays a large amount all over the place, so I've ended up using it as a moisturizer for my entire face, just that it doesn't really moisturize well enough for that. It is mild and all, but my skin gets too dry. Also I'm just not sure how much of an effect it really had on my acne. I really want it to work, and it should considering the awesome ingredients and reviews, but I'm not convinced of its effects after using a whole bottle. Perhaps if they give it a better pump or another packaging all together, I'll give it another try, but until then it's just too expensive for a product that doesn't really do any wonders on me and runs out way too quickly because of the lousy dispenser.

I absloutely love this! I don't have a lot of pimples anymore, but when I have one, I just put this on overnight and it'll look a lot better.
Yes, it does dry out your skin a bit, but that's actually what's helping make the pimple dissapear.
I used to have heavy outbreaks and this really helped make my skin look better.

This is a welcomed product for my skin. It's a gentle acne treatment, that I mostly end up using all over my face. My usually irritated and acne-prone skin is now smooth, calm and noticeably clearer. Grease Lightning has replaced my Paula's Choice toners and treatments, as well as some RX. The only con: the pump on my packaging was defective, but that's minimal against all its benefits.

This is amazing. I use it as both a spot treatment as well as a toner. If you put it all over your face it can make it dry, but it is great for your skin. It doesn't really have a smell, and the little bottle lasts forever. I use one pump and it is good for all over your face or a fair amount over pimples. This stuff works great and the redness and soreness of my acne decreases after I use this.

This didn't really do much for my skin. It was like putting nothing on. A few times when i put it on before I went to sleep I did noticed calming of redness when I woke up the next day. Anyways I originally bought this in January to help my new acne patches 4 month later of persistent use and guess what it's still there. I think the formula could be too gentle for my skin.
Anyways My acne is finally healing thanks to st ives. green tea cleanser =]

This works really well in healing pimples I find. Don't over-use this product though. Put it on a spot, and it'll be noticeably smaller the next day. The only downfall to this is the bottle is so small, and it's around $10. Though it's worth it, I wish there was a larger bottle available.

I was pretty disappointed with this. The reviews were great, so I thought I'd give it try. I have great skin, only a pimple here and there every few weeks. I wanted this just a spot treatment. Compared to Origin's on the spot remover, it didn't do a thing...

One commenter posted that she attributes the return of cysts to using Grease Lightning. I, too, have acne-prone skin and it's very rare when I get huge cysts. I had two red pimples that grew into huge cysts. The application of Grease Lightning, I believe, caused my red pimples to morph into cysts. Since learning this, I have discontinued use of the product. I do not recommend this product if you have acne-prone skin.
