I liked this moisturiser for the first while of using it, but then started to break out in the oddest places (like just above the corners of my mouth!), places I have never broken out in before. I continued using it for a bit because it didn't click that it might be the moisturiser, eventually after my face kept erupting in tiny little red dots almost like the beginning of a spot, I stopped using it as an experiment... skin problems just disappeared. Whether its a specific ingredient my skin can't handle or something else, I was pretty surprised that a product branded as so "simple", "unperfumed," "natural" did this (my skin never never reacts to products - far from being sensitive, its actually near-impossible for me to react to stuff).

I love this moisturiser! I have needed a new once since the weather started to change and this has been a great product. I get a rather oily T-zone quite often and it's great to know that it's not my moisturiser contributing to that now :) It's light & hydrating & contains no nasties (like it says) and dries up very quickly which is great because I don't like to muck around waiting for my moisturiser to dry up a little before I put on make up. A little definitely goes a long way. It may be for sensitve skin but I think it's perfect for those with skin on the oilier side.

I had run out of my normal skincare products so I bought this to tie me over until my products arrived in the mail. I use it both morning and night.

Pros
*light
*quick dry
*not expensive
*definitely moisturising

Cons
*makes my nose strangely shiny/oily looking after a while for some reason, the rest of my face looks fine though

I'm reviewing the Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturizer. Of all the moisturizers that I have experimented with over the years (Philosophy's Hope in a Jar, Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel, Jason Naturals' Vitamin E Oil, unrefined shea butter, kukui nut oil, Gowoonsesang Moisturizing Cream-Gel) I am proud to say that this is by far my favourite, and I'm currently on my second bottle (this rarely happens since I love to try out new products).

Although it's far from being a natural & organic product, which I tend to believe is always better for the skin, this moisturizer is well charting its way to a HG status. Before moving on, I think it's best to first tell you a bit more about my skin and the climate that I live in:

My skin is erratic. And i truly mean it. I've seen it swing between the spectrum of being real oily and being real dry with red, dry and irritated patches that eventualy bring forth the very agonizing bumps and zits. Once, I even had real oily skin with really dry patches on both sides of my face (dismal "strips" that outline my face from the temple to my chin--on both sides. those were dark times). To make things worse, it's extremely humid and clammy here where I live. Usually I'd be perspiring even before I start my jog out on the streets. Thats how sucky it is over here. Prior to trying out this product, I was also suffering from perpetually angry red zits--cystic--that just refuse to cease no matter what I do (tried everything from clay masking to dry them up, hydrating masks to calm them down, tea tree oil, basically everything that I could think of, but to no avail).

Which is why I am extremely thankful that I found this baby. Coupled with La Roche Posay's Cicaplast (another one that belongs to the Temple of Awesome Products), my skin became sooooo much better within a week! This moisturizer has provided my skin with adequate hydration and balanced it out. This is the only moisturizer that has allowed me to wake up in the morning with non-oily skin. While the Cicaplast definitely played a role in healing my skin (since it acts a protective and regenerative layer), the moisturizer for the most part has calmed my skin down and the Army of Adamant Zits actually stopped attacking, leaving me with unsightly scars to deal with till now :( That was over 4 months ago now, and I'm currenly on my 2nd bottle, practically hooked and never happier to have found so much awesomeness in a product that is really affordable (SGD 13), especially compared to some of the products that I have tried in the past.

Seriously, you HAVE to TRY this!

I love this producy LOVE ! Becaus i have oily skin i cant affoard for my face to be under extreame moisture, but funny enough this product is great. Becaus of its light texture it hydrates the skin but in a light way so as not to make me oily. I have found for my people with oily or combo skin out there that a little bit of moisture can be good ! it moisturises the skin so my skin does not feel the need to produce more oil to compenseate for the lack of moisture after cleansing.

This is a nice moisturiser and I like it because it really is 'light' and doesn't feel greasy on the skin. I have very oily skin so I like that it's not too heavy or greasy looking/feeling. It has no oil control so I use this at night but I think I would prefer something slightly heavier and more moisturising. Bear in mind that I don't have sensitive skin, just very acne prone and this has never broken me out. You get a good amount of product for the price but I won't buy this again simply because after using this for years I want something slightly heavier as I don't feel it's quite moisturising enough. But if you are looking for a truly 'light' moisturiser, then this is the one.

A fairly good daytime moisturiser for my combo skin, but sometimes my dry patches need a bit more love than this can offer - though I can just layer up the product and it smooths the flakies away. Non-scented, no frills, doesn't irriate my skin...if it had SPF, it'd be perfect.

I have oily skin but occasionally it will be dry and is always dry in places such as around my eyes and simple moisturiser is a nice no frills way to keep my skin healthy and non-flaky.

I purchased this product about half a year ago and it has only just run out so I am glad about how long it last. It is light, doesn't make my skin greasy and doesn't break me out. It is also quite cheap.
However, I have combination skin so I have an oily forehead and normal/slightly dry cheeks. In the last week or two, my skin has turned terribly dry, resulting in flaky looking skin. I have to apply at least 3 times and even then I will need to reapply later on in the day.
So, I probably won't buy this product again.

I've been using this face cream for about 8 months now so feel that is a sufficient amount of time in order for me to be able to write a fair review.

The cream itself is quite thin in consistency but this means it glides on my face with ease and it's simple to rub in. I suffer from dry patches on my cheeks and the occasional spot and have quite an oily t-zone that is prone to breakouts, so I really needed a cream that would be "kind to my skin". This really is and has never made me break out or ever irritated my skin.

The only downside I find to this product is that it's not the best in the winter months. My face tends to feel as though I haven't put enough on, so sometimes, I end up applying this twice just to ensure my cheeks feel comfortable.

However it's a good overall cream, doesn't irritate me, doesn't give me any kind of adverse reaction, fairly cheap to buy and doesn't break me out!

This isn't the greatest if you have dry skin, in fact it's pretty useless, I had to put this away for a while because I was suffering from a particularly severe bout of dryness.
However now that my skin is pretty much back to it's oily/combination self this is perfect. It moisturises but isn't greasy, is light and sinks in almost immediately and sits well under makeup. Pleased to say that this doesn't cause my acne prone skin to break out, plus it's a pretty decent price. My only gripe is it doesn't have any sun protection and I fail to see why it's in a bottle and not in a squeezy tube.

Average as a moisturiser, brilliant as an eye make-up remover! I bought a travel bottle of this at the airport as Boots didn't have their Cleansing Lotion. More or less the same ingredients I thought and I was right - rub a dollop over your eyelids and wipe off with a pad. Gone! And as it's so pure it doesn't irritate your eyes either. A very versatile product for a great price.

I have oily with acne prone skin and this is the only moisturizer i trust. This moisturizer doesnt leave an oily feel and doesnt make me break out which is good because its so hard to find a good moisturizer for oily acne prone skin. Its rather cheap for the amount you get. 1 bottle can last really long.

so frustrated with this product. at first i like it a lot because it was like a replacement for discontinued Pure & Mild mosturizer. after a month, my skin got small tiny bumps and itchy like hell. initially thought because of seafood or collagen drinks. but after i stop the seafood or collagen intake, the itchiness, bump and reddish mark on my face still there and more prominent. seek medication high and low, until one day my bf asked why i have a huge "red" burned scar on my face. and that time i only wearing this Simple mosturizer. now i stop wearing it and all the problem gone...

I love this moisturiser and use it every day. I have tried hundreds of different moisturisers from dirt cheap to very expensive and always go back to this! It is one of the few that does not break me out. I have dry combination skin and this is perfect for it, its not greasy at all but doesn't dry my skin out either. Its very cheap and lasts a long time. Cant think of anything bad to say!!!

I love this moisturiser! I bought it when I was low on money but had run out of my usual Neutrogena one. Love the fact it doesn't have any fragrance in it and is gentle on my skin, keeps my face soft and hydrated, but never oily in the places I usually am. I also find my make-up stays on a lot better with this product then any other moisturiser I have used before.

I have dry-combination skin and this product gives me the perfect amount of moisturisaton without leaving me looking flakey or greasy!

It is ideal for sensitive skin as it contains no irritating ingredients or perfumes. It sinks quickly into the skin and does not break me out.

It comes in a nice, although rather plain bottle, and being a drugstore product, is priced extremely well. Repurchase for me.

For reference: I have combination oily skin that can react sensitively to some products.
I wanted to love this product! I bought it a while ago, used it for about a month, stopped, then recently came back to it and tried it again for a few weeks. However, although it's moisturising and works great as a base for makeup, it breaks me out! Both times I've tried it I've ended up with clogged pores which eventually lead to some pretty big pimples which I never normally get, so it must be this moisturiser. It's a bummer cause I normally love Simple products.

Pros:
-Moisturising, absorbs quickly, doesn't add excess shine
-Cheap
-Makeup goes on smoothly after applying this
Cons:
-Irritating, weird smell, breaks me out after a while

I've stopped using it now and will be trying something new.
